### Disappointing experience: Days Inn by Wyndham Novato/San Francisco Very negative review
Finding a hotel on the outskirts of the city on a highway, what I thought would be a relaxing few days vacation turned out to be an unforgettable bad experience. Share it with everyone, hoping to prevent more people from being deceived.
**Noise Issue**: Days Inn by Wyndham Novato/San Francisco is located next to the highway and is relatively noisy. Although it is quieter after closing the door, for friends who are sensitive to sleep, this still needs to be carefully considered.
**Incomplete facilities**: The room has just been renovated. Although it looks relatively new, it is not friendly to people with allergies. There is a lack of facilities in the room, either there is no refrigerator, there is no microwave, or there is no coffee machine. After changing rooms, we finally found a room with a refrigerator. However, the TV could only be turned on but could not select a channel. The faucet in the bathroom was also broken. It took the maintenance staff nearly an hour to solve the problem.
**The most unacceptable thing happened**: When I came back from going to summer camp with my daughter the next day, I found that our room had been emptied and our luggage was missing. I clearly put up the "Do Not Disturb" sign before leaving, but not only cleaned the room, but also packed up and disposed of our things without notice. We obviously paid for three nights, why were we "kicked out" after only staying one night?
When we asked at the front desk, they said they wanted to change our room on the system, and they didn't know anything about it. It was done by other staff the night before. But why not give advance notice when our things are picked up? Problems that can be solved with a phone call, they are good at making decisions. The front desk's answer was "clean it up when you see no one around", with no reason or apology.
**Police intervention**: In desperation, I had to call the police and ask for police assistance. They retrieved our belongings from somewhere before the police arrived. The manager had an extremely bad attitude. When facing the police, she still said that we were wrong and claimed that I kept changing rooms. But in fact, I only changed rooms once. When communicating with her boss the day before, she made it clear that even if the faucet could not be repaired, I will keep this room and just take a shower in another room. After the police left, the manager even said "I don't care" and didn't even apologize. The police were helpless and just told me that if the loss exceeds 400 US dollars, I can file a report. But I did not lose any valuables, only my daughter’s small toys and some opened food and drinks were thrown away by them. My daughter was very sad. As a result, we had to choose to leave this hotel and could not continue to stay.
**Extremely bad review**: Originally, the boss was very easy to communicate with and thought that after the hardware facilities problem was solved, he could give a good review, but now he can only give a very bad review. This experience made me wonder if the manager was discriminating against us Chinese. She kept having a bad attitude and asked to talk to her boss, she said "No". As soon as the police left, the manager immediately went to the swimming pool with his family to enjoy family fun without taking it seriously at all.
**Summary**: Days Inn by Wyndham Novato/San Francisco not only has inadequate facilities, but also has extremely poor service attitude. Please do not stay at this hotel to avoid making the same mistake as us!
I hope my experience can remind everyone to be careful when choosing a hotel to avoid similar bad experiences. This is also my first time traveling in many years.
By sharing this real experience, I hope more p

Keep track of your payments Ami, they charged me the deposit and the hotel rent with my card and they did not refund the deposit money. Somehow certain information disappears, I use free expression if democracy exists.

I have knee pain, injured cartilage and your jacuzzi made it feel OK.
Nearby activities: Jacuzzi was great, breakfast was so-so. No microwave in room ..
Nice looking room.

As a GM of a hotel myself, I should have paid more attention to the reviews, but I know how petty people can be so I gave them the benefit of the doubt. Flight was delayed so we showed up late to the hotel a little after 11pm. We called to say we would be late and the phone was just answered hello, not Days Inn or anything, sign number one I suppose. Checked in with a disinterested young lady who barely pointed in the direction of our room. Opened the door to discover it was never cleaned from the last guest. Trash cans full, bed covers trashed, all towels used on the floor, and money for the maid on the table. Went back to the front and a new gentleman named Nick was at the desk. Told him I don't need much but the room has to at least be clean. Nick said they were sold out and there was nowhere he could put us since it was Nascar weekend (the reason we were there as well) Asked him for new sheets so I could at least make the bed fresh to sleep in for the night since it was almost midnight, Nick said he had NO access to the maids room and linens. At this point he was sweating profusely and cursing the job and other incompetent employees saying this isn't the first time it's happened. Asked if he had anything out of order on maintenence that I could steal sheets from and he said let me see and headed out of the door while we waited on the couch. After 15 min he came back and said he had an out of order room where someone had used the bathroom, tv didn't work, fridge sounded like it was dying BUT they hadn't used the bed. Fine, okay I have somewhere to at least sleep at this point. I asked for the evening to be comped and he said he could do 50% but the managers daughter Mia would be in the morning and could do the rest. Talked with Mia the next morning who immediately Nick lied that he did have all the keys and could have given us sheets, but said she couldn't do anything because the manager wasn't in till monday. I told her, yes you can call your mother now. Once on the phone with the manager (mother) she explained what had happened and said she would do it now but it wouldn't hit my card till monday. I didn't care about the money on my card just the fact that it was going to happen. I reiterated to be sure that they were comping the first night and cleaning my original room immediately, otherwise I would cancel and go elsewhere, "Yes" was Mias answer from her manager. We even fixed the tv in the room we were put in and called Mia to let her know so they could re-rent that room as well. Fast forward to checkout where I asked for my bill. Still says paying 50% for the first night in a dirty room with no tv. Asked Melanie Sanchez, the manager who was finally there if she would correct it and she stated that her "managing partners" said no "because I had stayed". Really???? So she had Mia bold face lie to me to get me to stay and "But you stayed" is her only response. No sorry for the situation, no nothing. Since I booked through Travelocity they are already losing 24% of my booking so the hotel itself couldn't afford to give me back my extra $70 to keep a happy-ish customer who wouldn't blast management and staff on reviews. She would rather me charge back my entire stay up to 3 times to send it into arbitration. Her respnse was "whatever". All I can say is that this staff would not make it at my hotel, where we do everything we can, to make sure we have repeat happy customers.

Very good stop on our road trip. Comfortable rooms but breakfast was pointless. Erratic staff!
Walkability: Not near anywhere but the pleasant town of Novato was a very short drive away and we had a great Italian meal there.

The staff was not helpful, friendly or professional. There was no mention of the facility being under renovation or that there was going to be no hot water on Monday morning. I'd look for other accomodations until all is resolved.

Great house keeping staff but unfortunately the management was an absolute nightmare. I wouldn't stay there again if they paid me.

Not a great experience, no working TV for the entire stay was a bummer. Could not replace with a working one ??????

It was a clean, comfortable room at a reasonable price. The only issue was that the refrigerator door was broken, but I was able to make it work to keep our food cold.

Stayed in the one story building in back where you can park in front of your door. Good room, good bed (slept well), good TV that has built in auto-game mode when you plug your console into the HDMI port. Good tub in bathroom. No foldable suitcase stand, no place to set a laptop bag, no power outlets by the desk, very little shelf space in bathroom. Overall good value.
