I used to.love Bank of the West. Since BM0 took over I despise going there. Everytime I need something the cant do it or make it do much more complicated. Even depositing a check was an issue today let alone a wire transfer. I came in a few minutes after 3 it was after theit cut off time. So I was told to come back tomorrow. Funny when i went to Citi..they could do it only the money would not clear until tomorrow. Fine. I had asked BMO it they could do it.."NO ,come back tomorrow" I was a happy BOW customer for over 20 years now seriously trying to find time to transfer all my payments in and out for 14 units 5 properies to another bank

Never have I felt compelled to write a negative review. However, the service that I received from this branch was beyond lackluster. I recently opened a checking account with Phil Rap and was charged a slew of service fees despite my inability to make deposits through technology in order to avoid these charges.According to Phil, who happens to also be the manager, customers are required to physically come into the branch to make deposits in order to avoid the service fees. This is extremely inconvenient, particularly given that I had been attracted to this Bank because of the promised convenience of doing business. Their lack of certain technologies for depositing funds should not result in automatic service fees. Although the fees were nominal, Phil was incapable of resolving the issue in a satisfactory manner.I would encourage anyone who is considering opening an account at this branch to read the fine print. I believe that I have been misled and that my time and money have been wasted.My hope is that Bank of the West will invest in the much-needed training of their representatives to help them become reliable sources of information while serving their clients.

Extremely disappointed with the customer service I received after opening a checking account with Phil Rap. I was charged a slew of service fees, despite being unable to make deposits through technology in order to avoid the service fees. When I reached Phil by phone, I learned that he was the branch manager, yet he was incapable of resolving the issue. Phil explained that I needed to make deposits in person and there was no way to reconcile the charges that had been incurred. That is to say, in order to avoid service charges, this particular checking account requires "deposits be made once a month and only in person." This is extremely inconvenient... I believe that I was misled and my time and money have been wasted. It's unfair and unacceptable to charge customers for services that have not been provided. I would strongly advise that you read the fine print before considering opening an account at this branch

I love this bank! Very easy to work with. Very genuine nice people work here. I very recently got a Home loan thru Bank of the West. My loan broker is Brad Coons. I can't say enough nice things about his work . He guided me thru this very stressful detailed process with success. And I believe I got a very good interest rate. !!I'm so happy and grateful for Brad.

Good staff here. I like the way they take care of my business and my money. There are always caring and they try to give advise always on how to do things best. They always apologize if there is any delays and greet me nicely always. I had no problem opening my business account here. General aura is good here. I like that. Thank you!

Jan2019 I have been locked out of online account as their system won't send pass code via text to confirm ID. Entered correct ID and password. Called for help, a 7 minute wait? I don't think so. Bought CD for APR 2.5%, got renewal notice stating my APR is 1.2%. Thank God I have original receipt. So I get to go down to branch n fix this. When I accessed website earlier, check deposit is not noted as such, no check copy, just a deposit. My credit union is SO much better, detailed, no wait time, no problems. Signed up for free overdraft. Got a bill for monthly charges of $10.00. Had to call twice to get this fixed. Found papers telling me it was free when I signed up. Reminds me of current admin, what you see is not what you get. Bummer.

I am surprised at the lack of reviews in general but that could be a good sign from most customers being satisfied with the service of their bank. I bank a lot online with Bank of the West and periodically we do go into the branch to conduct business. We have always been treated cordially and gotten served promptly and neither myself or my wife has had anything but excellent service.
