Expecting major repair based on last visit which detected slight crack in strut arms (?) but mechanic assessed situation at this visit and found no progression of problem and said repair is not needed now but should check next time. Most mechanics would do repair anyways needed or not to make $$. Baldwins has your best interests in mind and we trust them 100%. Our Audi A4 has 120k miles and going strong thanks to them.

I had O2 sensor error. They want to charge me $800 just to find out what is wrong with my car and they charge me $200 just to tell me that.

I took my 2013 VW Touareg to Baldwin’s with a number of problems. They were straightforward and honest with their recommendations and completed the service on time and as promised. I will return and highly recommend them to anyone seeking good service at a fair price.

Petra is exceptional, she has been there for many years and I was incredibly impressed when I explained some of the issues I was having with my BMW and she pretty much diagnosed the issue and gave me a rough indication of cost over the phone. These guys are awesome, they are honest, efficient and don't try to upsell into maintenance or things you don't need. Highly, highly recommend them.

I have a Prius, not a German car. I had been in the auto industry at almost every level most of my life I was reticent to go to a dealer again. My engine light had come on so I used my OBD2 tester to see what the problem was. It showed that the water pump was bad. This was confirmed in online blogs that that year Prius had water pump problems.I stopped at Baldwin's which is just down the street from where I live and asked how much they would charge for replacing the water pump. Petra gave me a price, complete, out the door, so I left the car for the repair. (Now see the last paragraph).Petra called me when the car was done (in a reasonable time), and the charge was exactly what she had quoted me. They also set the tire pressure (to the appropriate pressure), and they even cleaned the windshield. The car was left clean, free of the greasy fingerprints like I had experienced at other shops (and from guys, I had working for me).Now, for the person who complained that she did not get a written quote, well, an email is sufficient. Furthermore in many instances with some cars especially those with electronics (like all the newer ones), there may be additional problems that cannot be detected until the technician begins to dismantle the car. And lastly, as a service manager, I was always cautious with customers who seemed like they were trying to get me into a corner, or they mention their lawyer or the BAR.

Recently purchased 2016 Audi e-tron hybrid and called to get a diagnostic on the charging system. I was told this is still covered by warranty and I need call Audi. They could have done the inspection and charged me and I would have not known the difference. Honest company!

Brian & Petra are the best! I have been a Porsche owner since 1998. A boxer was my first car out of college I love Porsche as no other brand compares as far as performance, however after years of taking my car to Porsche Dealerships and getting fleeced by them. I discovered Baldwins, my first experience I needed my front differential replaced, Brian quoted me 1/3 of the cost of the dealership! All Porsche OEM parts! needless to say, I have been taking my Porsche to him for all other maintenance, he just replaced my cabin air filter and it had mold on it!!! I am vigilant about the maintenance of my car, and the fact that the dealership never mentioned this to me or bothered to replace it, after years of service appointments, is unbelievable and speaks to the integrity of Baldwins, they care about the health, and safety of my family and I. If you own a Porsche I highly recommend, you give Balwins a try for your next maintenance need. I know you will be pleasantly surprised by the cost savings and integrity of Baldwins.

Highly Recommend! I have been to auto shops in Sonoma and Marin County. Baldwin's German Autowerks is by far the most professional and helpful place I have been to. The entire staff has been able to communicate the status of my Mercedes and what exactly is going on in detail. It's safe to say I won't be going to any other auto shop after experiencing top level service and support.

High integrity service! I have an older Audi which broke down on Hwy 37 and I had it towed to Baldwin. I didn't know it at the time, but the problem was caused by a part that had been under a recall by Audi. I was unaware of the recall and not sure I would have made the connection even if I had known about it. Baldwin could have simply made the repairs and charged me. Instead, they alerted me to the recall and recommended that I take it an Audi dealer who might fix it for free. And indeed, the Audi dealer made the repairs at no cost to me. So thanks to Baldwin's transparent and honest approach, I saved a lot of $$.Service: Vehicle Inspection

Baldwins did a great job replacing my brakes on my 2007 Porsche Carrera as well as performing a oil change. As is usual they were great, got in and out efficiently and for a great price. They will be taking care of my bay for as long as I own her.Services: Brakes

Good fair experience. I came in with a check engine light that ended up being nothing more serious than the gas cap not being screwed on right. Brian gave me a discount on the cost of diagnosis. A few days later I had him do an alignment for the car. This is one of the few shops locally that services mini coopers. Additionally, they do a complete diagnosis and tell you what needs to be done in the coming months.
