Samantha is so good that when my adult child comes home from the East Coast, she makes an appointment with her to get her haircut. Samantha is so good that my husband who is very particular (he was a touring musician and onstage appearance was important) loves her talent, timeliness and styling. Samantha is so good that friends ask me who cuts my hair. She's punctual, professional and personable. Curly, straight, close crop, long hair, one length, layered--she does it all.

Cindy is a phenomenal hair designer. I have fine thin hair and find short is the only way that works, but Cindy has a flair that brings my hair design to an all new look of gorgeous.

Samantha has been cutting my hair for quite some time and I am regularly complimented on my hair from complete strangers. I can't say enough about how professional and creative she is; she's upbeat, on trend and has a sparkling personality to match. I now carry her cards with me so when I'm complimented I offer her cards. She's a treasure!

I went to this salon after my usual place closed permanently due to COVID. I saw Samantha in the salon while I was getting coffee next door and took a chance on getting an appointment after seeing how she was sanitizing her station with the door wide open and hand sanitizer at the door. I found Samantha to be very professional and personable. She asked about my preferences for hair style and followed those exactly. I think Samantha is a very talented stylist. I have recommended her to friends and family members. I am so happy to have found her at such an unusual time.

I have been going to Sam for hair salon services for longer than I like to recall (at least 15 plus years) and have always intended to leave a review but never had time until my recent retirement. Like everyone else, I have good and less than good days but I have never had a bad hair day because of the amazing color and hair style work of Sam. I have two good friends who have a background in salon work and their sister owns a hair salon in Petaluma and they all constantly compliment me on my "hairdo." Sam is always cheerful despite what had to be a very hard time for small businesses and merchants over the last year and a half. It is so challenging to find good vendors for home maintenance, landscaping and the like, but I never have to worry about finding excellent hair salon services.

I have been going to Samantha for 20 years and I still get compliments on my haircuts and color every time I go. She listens to my questions and ideas and give me excellent feedback. I have shown her many haircuts I like and she makes them always work for me. She always updates my color questions and ideas. When I started going to her she saved my color from the box dyes I had put on my hair. Now that I am working with stubborn gray hair she is helping me adjust my color needs and color wants. Sam is great to talk too and I am happy to chat with her and catch up on life. Brava Sam you are the best! Plan on seeing me for another 20 years!

I can't say enough positive things about Samantha at Avenue Salon She has been coloring and cutting my hair for many years and I every time I see her, I leave extremely pleased. She is professional, friendly, and always willing to listen to my ideas for what I want for my cut and color. Over the years she has guided me to keep my look fresh and up to date. I have been going to Samantha for years at the recommendation of a friend. I have wavy/curly hair, and she is an expert in shaping it and making me look good even when I refuse to blow dry it! Both my daughter and husband come to Samantha also and we are all very pleased with our experience . The salon is friendly, inviting, and very well situated for parking in downtown. I have never had an issue, and the one time my bangs were not "just right", Samantha told me to come in anytime and she would redo them. She is a professional at her craft, and very friendly. Highly recommend.

Samantha has been doing my hair for a while now and she is brilliant! Her color is always spot on and she has a great eye for achieving the perfect cut for me! She always takes her time and makes me feel taken care of. Seeing that one star review here on Yelp is completely wrong in my opinion! She's amazing in every way and I recommend her all the time to my friends! She's simply the BEST!!

Samantha is terrific. She styles our family and we are all very pleased with her. She listens to what we want and gives great style advice. Please don't listen to one negative review- sadly, Novato had a lot of entitled citizens who think nothing of trying to hurt someone who simply doesn't let them bully her.
