Before I drove away I attempted to offer a minor appreciation of a Starbucks gift card and he refused saying he doesn’t accept tips, he’s “just doing (his) job”. He told me to if I wanted, I could write a review instead, so here I am :-)

Ugly part first: I bought my vehicle from a long distance away and removed a star from this rating because I was very disappointed that the delivery of my vehicle was not available despite the website listing it as an option. I was directed to either pick it up myself or hire that job out using whatever resources I could find. I was not reimbursed for those extra costs/time which would have been a great solution if offered to future customers. Definitely the least ideal aspect of the entire process.. (Note: technically Hertz covered the electric charges I needed to get back home.. but unsure if that was due to how the system registers new ownership or generosity)

Initially, there was some minor bumps with gaining priority when attempting to buy a highly desired vehicle remotely, (two separate occasions a local buyer jumped ahead of me) but a buyers determination can help. Once I was working more directly with John, who understood what vehicle I wanted and at what price, that issue was resolved, eventually I received a deal I was happy with. John, offered an ideal experience once the solid communication was in place.

I think the biggest advantage as a customer is the straight forward locked in pricing (if you understand there will be taxes/fees added) and the overall smooth buying process.

I was also happy to receive a lower APY rate than the pre-approved loan I had walking in the door. (However, I am unsure if I will be happy with this new lender and working with them. Only time will tell.)

Note: I'm unsure if the quality of the cars being sold will be safe investment across the board. I bought an EV and trust that there will be less issues with it than the very high likelihood that a used gas engine will have. But buying anything used is a risk in itself and that's on the buyer. So far my vehicle seems to be in great condition and hope there will be no surprises down the road.

So in the end I would definitely recommend this way of buying a used (electric) vehicle especially if you get to work with someone like John.
