“About 5 years ago I was down and out and had to pawned my favorite guitar. I couldn't pay the loan back and due to losing my job. Frank called and let me know that he had held on to it for me after all these years knowing that 1 day I'd get back on my feet and be able to get my guitar back. Frank and the pawnmart family are the best in the business. I highly recommend them.”

“Clean place and helpful staff. Little on the pricier side but you get what you pay for. A lot of 3rd party instructors use the facility for training because it's such a good place.”

“Staff is knowledgeable, approachable, and friendly. Went in on a Saturday and was in & out, purchasing some freedom seeds, except stood a lil longer than expected talking with Carlos. Overall, it is a great store, and I have had many convos with other staff members in past visits.”

“Patient, non-intimidating experience. After going to a big store... And a couple of other vendors. I didn't realize how much of a nice experience ownership for arms could be so pleasant. I came here via Google Maps search. They just happened to be open and no traffic, so I drove down from L.A. The place is small. But the service & patience is big. The staff is nice. They have both personal and professional experience and personal thoughts to share without pressure. Originally thought I'd go simple. But wound up walking out with something much nicer. Didn't have to wait hours. Literally less than 5 min to get help. I'm a customer for life.”

“I took the basic firearms safety course at Rogers Defense and I was not disappointed. This is a family owned business, therefore you get that personal vibe when inside of the facility. Being new to the world of firearms, I took their course because I was seeking education and looking for answers to some specific questions. The course was extremely informational. Rogers Defense did a great job at reviewing the laws and overall guiding the course for a couple of beginners in the class. I highly recommend taking the course with other people because you can gain more knowledge from their questions and how they respond in the MILO virtual training simulator. The training simulator was a great addition to the course and the best part! I honestly learned a lot about myself in the simulator and it opened my eyes to how much more I want/need to learn about safe firearms handling in various situations. The course really helped with passing the certification test (I also did practice tests at home), which I took immediately after the class. They provided some recommendations over which firearms I could research, and I even took my training to the shooting range and tested those same recommendations out. Thanks Rogers Defense!”

“One of my favorite locations for security or LEO items. A solid selection of items, limited uniform and great customer service. This is where I normally get all my supplies and gear for all my LEO needs. Also if they don’t got it, they can probably order it.”

“I've had no issues at all at this location. I've only dealt with the two main employees the woman and the man that I believe are married in their early 50's. They always have been nice to me, are FULLY versed in gun-laws (I saw a review on here that makes no sense based off my experience), and are pretty fair on prices. They don't bend much on the prices, like most pawn shops, but they aren't super outgoing friendly like some people may like, however they're nice enough and are serious as they should be. They remind me of people from the mid-west, people from California are d-bags and they aren't ones to talk about people being friendly or nice. But yeah, ignore the negative reviews, just because they're not trying to go over the moon with customer service doesn't mean they deserve a bad review.”

“It's great to go to a gun store and actually have the staff know what they're talking about. Spencer has never let me down and as a result, I've sent several people over there.”

“Never judge a book by its cover It has been a while since I got another firearm. All the new gun rules, along with inflation really push many of us away from this great sport. I still standby those whom support protecting our constitutional rights and urge those to consider getting one that suit your needs. Prior to unexpectedly finding Ling Firearms, I already considered getting a replacement Glock that I naively sold thinking, the gun might blow-up after putting 50,000+ rounds through its barrel. I was having lunch with my wife and friends at a neighboring Japanese restaurant. While leaving, I saw the big bold black Gun sign and thought just then, God's calling. I approached the storefront door to find a paper taped sign, "No person below 21 years old." I tried to open it, door was locked but lights were on. So, I knocked and knocked and there he was, Alex the store owner peeking behind the curtains. He gestured to me in sense of, "what do you want?" So, I told him, would like to look at some firearms. He unlocks the door to let me in, then locks it behind me. I felt a bit unease just as he was. Can't blame the guy, he must be in his early to mid 70s opening his shop full of guns to a complete stranger. I walked over to the counter to ask him if he has the gun I am looking for. His nodded with a sign of disapproval, suggesting I consider a higher caliber pistol. I explained my reasonings, he then points at my future gun. The price he gave me was alright, not cheap but still lower than major branch chains. I always prefer mom & pop shops for the intimacy and comfort of my own experience. After processing everything and waited 11 days, no call from Alex. It's reasonable since we're literally in mist of holiday seasons. Another week has gone by, still no return calls, no method in leaving messages either.. so I decided to show up. He somewhat recognizes me, referring me to the "Glock" guy. He said he's been waiting for me "a long time now". I didn't even know how to respond, can't be upset since I'm getting my new gun. While we finish the rest of the paperwork, I got him to opened up. This is where my perceptions of Alex changed. Alex is a Vietnam war veteran. While in the Army, he served as a combat pilot tasked to multiple tours. He has even fought in Russia. There were many other experiences he mentioned that were not PG rated. You can sense from his voice and aura, the man has been through some crazy stuff. He spoke about his grandkids, not seeing them this year. The pain and sadness I felt in his expression was notably evidential for he missed them very much. He gave me a lot of advices, made a lot of suggestions to which firearm to consider next, again, for my needs. I wished I knew about this shop 40 years sooner.. when I wasn't even considered yet. It's easy for folks nowadays to quickly jumped into conclusion, given the fact how sensitive things have become. All I see coming to this shop is an honest man with years of experience on full alert to protect himself and his type of business. But I encourage you to look beyond the stereotype to allow this veteran to share his life. Only then, you'll truly understand how he'd came to be. For that notation, and if you're reading this, thank you Alex for your service and knowledge. I hope to see you soon for the next one.”

“Picked up a Holosun SCS Carry optic today. I've been looking for this optic but it was sold out everywhere. I contacted Ammo Bros on Reddit yesterday and they reserved an SCS Carry for me. I drove to Cerritos this morning, told them my name, and they brought the box out to me with my name on it. I'm so stoked! Thanks Ammo Brah's! In addition to the Holosun SCS Carry, I bought a few boxes of 9mm and was very happy with the stock available. They also gave me a 5% military discount, which isn't a ton but it's something. There were a couple new employees being trained but this wasn't a problem at all. Everyone was very respectful and helpful. There was plenty of parking and the Ammo Bros store itself was very spacious with tons of room to walk around. There were plenty of firearms for sale and a large selection of firearm accessories. I'll definitely be back.”

“I learned today to take the time to look for the experienced employees, taking time to listen to “the guys behind the counter.”I went to the Turners Signal Hill today to fill a spool with line for bass fishing. The associate at the counter, David Chaney took the time to share his experience in the field, and spent 45 min with me, showing me tricks and techniques while showing me how to put together a variety of “quality” bass jigs. While Mr Chaney helped customers in between jigs, he really took his time and went out of his way to help (me) a customer and share his passion, knowledge and experience.Turners should be proud. Priceless!”
