Had my car amp examined and was charged to see if it was repairable. The owner told me it was going to be ready soon. I had to call a month and half later because he was too busy to call me just to inform me he couldn't find the part for repair. I bought another amp, its the same brand and model which was working fine. I bought it for parts so he can use it for repair. He said he had to charge me to check that amp. I checked it myself and it worked fine. Got into arguement with him. He just wanted to rip me off again. I payed again so he later tells me its too difficult to repair it. When I picked up both my amps it was three months later. Which I had no music for three months in my car. The owner should have told me he couldn't repair it from the beginning. I would of saved time and money. Zero stars for this place. I definitely don't recommend this place. What he did was a scam.

Alpha repaired a very nice Panasonic radio for me and it's working perfectly now. Thank you for your service and I will continue to have you work on my many radios that need repair.

These guys do AMAZING work. Ken is clearly passionate about keeping this old audio equipment in use, and puts a lot of care into his repair work. I brought in an old Sansui 6060 I had that had a few issues - phono channel cutting out, scratchy volume, bunch of lights out, etc. I had brought it to two other repair people in recent years and neither of them were able to fix it. Ken did a full go-over on the receiver, replacing everything that needed it. It's nicer now than the day I got it 25+ years ago. Expect the repair to take a long time - Ken has a big backlog of work and parts on these can take a while to source. But it's worth it - it's rare enough to find someone who CAN repair this stuff, to find someone who cares this much to do a good job is exceptional. Thanks Ken!

Great place for electronic repair, it's just extremely busy so appointments necessary. He's been maintaining my 1970s vintage sound system since 2021 and it's the only shop I'll go to. The value of the service is quality, he's honest and will tell you if it's worth fixing or not. Highly recommend

Ken is very knowledgeable and passionate about vintage gear. I know that I can come in with a vintage device and be confident that he will figure out the problem and fix it to factory settings. In other words, like almost new. Ken is also fun to talk to about audio, vintage gear etc.

Ken is knowledgeable and fair. My device came back better than before. Today people will buy new rather than fix. Glad Ken is still around.

Ken has fixed two oem 6-disc cd players for our family, one for a 2003 Chevy and one for a 2004 Acura. If you like to keep things stock/ original in your vehicle, know that Ken can repair it! He was able to retrieve stuck cd's and gave the cd's back to us carefully wrapped. He returned the stereo units to us in perfect condition and SoundScape in Downey reinstalled them (11890 Woodruff Ave, Downey, CA 90241, they highly recommended Ken).
I have an appointment tomorrow to bring in my kitchen counter cd/ radio by BOSE. BOSE repaired it 2 years ago, but BOSE no longer warranties their repair work on these units nor offers additional repairs. Ken is going to fix it, 100% confident.
I enjoy records and Ken always has turntables for sale, new and old and many in between. He has so many cool electronics, just ask if you need a certain something. Chances are he's heard of it, has it and if not, he can get it for you. The shop looks like a hurricane of semiconductors. Don't walk in, do call for an appointment, then prepare to be satisfied.

Hello everyone! Alpha Electronics wow. I was doing some searches in maps looking for electronics repair I kept seeing listings for car stereo install, computer repair, cellphone repair and so on. I almost went to what looked like a warehouse in my area that looks like they repair Tvs and computers. Glad I didn't. I seen a listing for Alpha Electronics. On a Saturday I took a drive to Norwalk to see for myself what type of electronics AE worked on. I don't know how I missed the pictures on yelp of vintage receivers.(discovered those after my visit to AE) I needed my Yamaha R-700 receiver fixed. Upon arriving to a 70's looking strip mall I find AE. Unbeknownst to me is that an appointment is needed to have service done. I was met by Ken Lam lol asked if I had an appointment. No. I enthusiastically expressed to him that I would gladly like to make an appointment. Im standing in the store front area all around me vintage electronics as far as the eye could see. This is the place I had been looking for for well maybe since I was 16 i'm 44 now! Ken tells me after checking his schedule that he has a few minutes before his next appointment (awesome). I pass over my blanketed Yamaha R-700. I know by what I'm seeing there in his place of business that my receiver is in good hands. We talk I tell him my concerns ken says not a problem. I pay the reasonable diagnostic fee that later applies to service. Two weeks later I get a call. All fixed returned to factory specification! Thank you Ken. Ill try and post a picture of my receiver.

These guys did a great job repairing my Sony CD Changer/Burner. I'm going to check out their vintage Direct Drive Turntables next. They stay busy, so I'm waiting for them to send me some pictures of the turntables they have in my price range. Hopefully they have some Technics on hand. That's my favorite brand for turntables and headphones. This is definitely the place for electronics repair.

Ken is the real deal! Super knowledgeable, communicative, and professional. He takes time to understand the issues and is truly in it for the love of the tech, not trying to make money. If you have any electronics, especially vintage video/audio equipment, look no further!

After trying other repair shops, and not being completely satisfied, I sought out, and found Alpha Electronics, and based on the positive reviews, decided to bring in my prized possession (Yamaha CR-2040). Let me start by saying my first impression, when meeting Ken, immediately put me at ease - Ken was warm, friendly, and most importantly, Ken is an extremely honest man. When I told him I wanted him to do a complete recap, Ken told me that's usually not necessary, and that he'd rather go through the unit, replacing ONLY what needed to be replaced. Long story short, I am now enjoying my Yammy, and it has never sounded better! I wish I could give Ken and Alpha Electronics 6 stars. Thanks so much for your honesty, fair prices, and excellent service, Ken!
