What a rip off scam company. I have a Bertazzoni fridge that was having issues. I took it apart and found that all it needed was a new sensor on the defroster, however I couldn't find the sensor. I called Bertazzoni and they recommended this company. They called me and made a $129 service call with me representing themselves as Bertazzoni themselves. I even asked (since they called me) what company they were with and they said Bertazzoni and i said, are you sure, and they said yes we are Bertazzoni.
The guy comes to my house, spends 4 mins looking at what I told him was already the issue. And then spends 30 mins on the phone looking up the issues. He then has the audacity to tell me it's going to be a $2200 repair to rebuild the entire system. I told him that was unacceptable, he tried to give me a discount, and I said no...the part is $30...just find me the part and I'll install it. He insisted it was a $40 part, which is still insane to quote me $2200 for, and then I made him leave my house.
I called Bertazzoni headquarters, they helped me get the part for $30, I installed it myself and the fridge is working perfectly now.
Never use this company...they are cheats and scam artists. $129 for a visit where he told me NOTHING new and tried to extort me. Disgusting really.

GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE & EXPERTISE
After 33 years, our SubZero refrigerator stopped working. In the small mid city we live in, there are no appliance repair companies that were equipped and/qualified to diagnose and repair whatever was ailing the unit.
With some trepidation, I searched and found an “out of town” company, Wilshire Refrigeration & Appliance, which was happy to schedule a prompt service call, even though it would require a 45-minute drive each way for the technician.
The technician, Dave M., arrived on time and quickly diagnosed the problem (deceased compressor) and advised that because of the age of the unit and the changes in refrigerants and technologies employed since its manufacture in 1991, repairing the unit would be costly and in his opinion, not worth the expense involved.
I appreciated Dave quickly assessing the problem and suggesting that a repair effort would likely be expensive and there would be no guarantee that some other components might fail in the near future.
In other words, the SubZero was on its “last legs” and a replacement would be the best solution.
The service call charge was $145, which I felt was very reasonable.
Subsequently, I spoke by telephone with Jessica and Victoria in the office and they were both very helpful assisting me with information that I needed to submit an insurance claim to our home warranty insurance company.
I heartily recommend Wilshire Refrigeration & Appliance to anyone in their service area (central to south areas of Santa Barbara and Ventura counties, as well as in the Los Angeles metro area) who has a high-end kitchen appliance that requires service.
Great service and knowledgeable, skilled employees. ????

Had service on my oven today. Danny and Adam who were here were friendly, knowledgeable and fixed the problem right away. I highly recommend these 2 guys for great service.

James came out today to fix my subzero refrigerator. He was professionally, knowledgeable, honest and friendly. He knew exactly what the problem was and fixed it in a timely matter. He answered all of my questions honestly and I didn’t feel like he was trying to rip me off or up sell me. I usually use Box Appliance to service my subzero but they have gotten too expensive and it takes weeks for them to come out. Wilshire Refrigeration and Appliances was able to fit me in within a few days. Thank you Wilshire Refrigeration and Appliances for having great employees like James.

The first guy who came out wasn’t good at all & left our freezer in demo mode, we lost some food due to that. I called the company back & told them how we called their company to fix our ice maker (which never got fixed) & now our freezer is not working. They sent a new guy out right away, Juan Carlos, who was nice, professional & eager to help fix the issue. He got our freezer up & running & answered all the questions we had. I do wish he gave us a second opinion on the ice maker & he said he couldn’t as it wasn’t apart of the ticket. I appreciate him doing a much better job which I’m giving stars just for him. If I was going off just the company it would be 1 star. Juan Carlos in my eyes gets 5 stars, but this isn’t about just his service, it’s about the company’s & how the issue still isn’t fixed. Also the first guy quoted me $2,000 just for a motor & it didn’t include labor. When I looked at his computer it showed $1,093 for that same part. So this company adds 2x the cost of the part & then will charge labor. That’s awful. If you call them ask for Juan Carlos.

Carlos from Wilshire Refrigeration came to service my Sub Zero older refrigerator, his was so professional & knowledgeable, not only did he fix my problems but explained throughly. He is an asset to this Company, highly recommend.

I’ve now had two high end appliances requiring service and repair, and Corey was the tech both times. Incredibly professional, courteous and generous with his time and support. One item required multiple return trips, as a small cascade of failures let to ongoing issues, and no questions asked repairs were done under the original service ticket.

If I could leave less than one star I would. Everything was a mess, from poor customer service, to difficulty with parts ordering, to incorrect charges, as well as failing to disclose they have a surcharge for credit card usage. Stay away for your own peace of mind!
