I recently had a distressing and shocking experience at (vallarta supermarket #5) northridge Ca, that I feel others should be aware of. While using a reusable bag during my visit, I was unfairly profiled and treated as a potential shoplifter, leading to a dangerous and violent situation.
After I left the store and had already crossed the street, in the middle of an alley, I was suddenly chased down by a man who claimed to be an employee, though he wasn’t wearing any uniform or ID. I am only 5’1” and weigh 120 lbs, yet this man physically attacked me, kneeing and drop-kicking me to the ground in an attempt to take my bag. Despite my small size, he was relentless, making five aggressive attempts to grab it. When I finally let go of the bag, he became even more violent, elbowing me on the side of my head, near my temple.
This attack left me with cuts, bruises, and a possibly broken pinky finger, for which I am seeking medical treatment. Despite reporting this incident to the store manager and filing a complaint with corporate, I have not received any satisfactory response. The manager seemed more concerned with defending the employee rather than addressing the violence I endured. The police, who were called to the scene, also did nothing to hold the employee accountable.
I want to warn other customers—especially those using reusable bags—to be extremely cautious if you choose to shop here. The level of aggression and profiling I experienced was completely unacceptable, and I would not want anyone else to go through what I did. No one should be subjected to such violence, especially someone of my stature, simply for leaving a store with a reusable bag.

Parking is minimal and difficult to get into and out of. Isles are SO small and prices are far higher than other grocery stores. Staff was very nice. Won't be a place I will grocery shop further at.

The employee are nice and store is always clean and organized and The Food from the kitchen is always good perfectly cooked and tasty so are the juices, I love to shop at the one in Reseda cause not all The Supermarkets are the same but I don't like the tamales there always dried and not enough meat and the menudo doesn't have Harmony in it and I love Harmony in my menudo but everything thing else is just right. Thank you

It's cool,local,the cooked food to go is great,the butcher section has good cuts,and seafood plates ,and they pretty much have everything just beware as prices on other items are far more expensive than Trader Joe's or Smart and Final.Significantly more on OJ,Tortillas ,and fresh produce.But it's local and therefore a fair tradeoff when I'm at my Northridge location.
