I have been going here since college and will never go to any other nail place. I really trust Ann and Lisa. I have been to many other nail places and always get ingrown infections but Ann really handles my feet with care & I have never gotten an infection. The staff here is so friendly and they have become my family over the past 6 years.Services: Manicure

I'vehavent been here in a hot minute but the area is totally remodeled and looking brand spanking new. Parking- tons front and back Service- great Facility itself- new chairs super comfy, and they cleaned it up inside so it looks new again I usually get my mani done with Ann or Lisa and Ann usually does my pedi as well. I'm in the process of ditching gel and reshaping my nails for my nails health so Ann helped wIth that. Granted they don't look the best yet I'm just super happy that my cuticles are clean again.

If I could give this place 0 stars I absolutely would. Let me just save you from a disastrous situation like the experience I had and tell you to NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR HARD EARNED MONEY AT THIS PLACE. I was eating at the seafood place next door and decided to do my nails there instead of driving further away to my regular place (big mistake lol). I walked in and asked for a French tip gel POLISH CHANGE (didn't need the manicure as I had already gotten one less than 2 weeks ago and I don't like to cut my cuticles too often). The only male nail tech was the one who did my nails... I literally don't even know what to say. He didn't file my nails, didn't buff them after removing my previous gel, and then left little black fuzzy fibers/hairs on my nail and applied the base coat. I noticed it but decided to just say nothing. Then it gets worse. I know when you do French tip it looks really messy at first and then once the lines get cleaned up it comes together.... HE LITERALLY LEFT IT UNEVEN. He starts applying the top coat and I look down at my nails and see literally the worst job I've ever seen done on my nails - lines are sooo uneven, there's literally one nail that has half a French tip and another half with no polish, and there's literally black lines and hairs all over my nails STICKING OUT through the gel. I wish I took a picture!!!!! I have had a number of sh*tty nail jobs but I honestly am the type to still pay and walk out unsatisfied. This was the first time in my life it was so attrocious that I couldn't leave like that - I was attending a wedding the next day and it was just so bad. Here's where it gets even worse. When I finally spoke up and told the man it was an absolutely unacceptable job and that it needed to be fixed - he literally was just staring into my eyes while speaking his language to his other co workers. Then, a woman who was clearly a nail tech but was sitting on her phone in the corner of the shop watching videos on her phone has the audacity to say to me "you no pay for manicure, no manicure sorry" AKA basically saying that since I didn't pay a few extra dollars to have the SKIN AROUND MY NAILS tended to that it meant a bad job was acceptable. What the f do my NAILS have to do with that? I'm still paying 23 dollars for the service... what kind of establishment treats their paying customers like this? It was at this point that a woman who I assumed to be the owner of the nail salon was visibly upset by her employees and their reactions, she noticed how horrible of a job the man had done and told me she would fix it as soon as she was done with her client. Even after saying this while I waited, the guy was sitting there shaving the top part of my nails and coating it all over again with big globs of white polish. Still waiting at this point.. then he literally SHOVES my hand back towards me with the literal WORST nail job I've ever seen in my entire life. I wanted to cry so bad (I know at least ONE of you will feel me on this pain knowing I had a huge event early the next day with limited options). Eventually the woman finished with her client and re did my nails all over again. Shaved all the gel down and made my nails nice and frail before applying it again. To be honest I would have left a few more stars had my nails at least lasted THE REST OF THE DAY. Listen... I come home, and THREE of the nails have huge cracks in the gel.... like FOUR hours after I came home. I didn't do anything with my hands to have done it myself. Now today is the morning of the event... I look down at my nails... literally 6/10 of my fingers have multiple cracks in the gel and the white polish has become discolored and almost yellowish looking. PLEASE for the love of god, if you value your time and your hard earned money - DO NOT EVERRRRR COME HERE!!!! I have to go to my best friends wedding today with nails like this... please see the attached pics if you don't believe me. This is LE

So sweet and informative. I've always had problems with my big and little toes due to the work shoes I wear. Lisa took time to explain why things are the way they are and to correct things. She said patience is everything and that by the next time I come in everything should look really nice. I've always been super self conscious and she made me feel normal and secure. My go to pedicure place now!!! Usually I feel rushed and ignored. This place outdoes themselves with customer service. You have a new client

I use to come here all the time, but my last few experiences have been horrible. This last time I went with my mom even she noticed that their customer service had completely changed and there are no quality polishes offered. In the past, the nail techs were so welcoming and took their time doing your pedicure but over recent times they just seem to want to get you in and out. On multiple recent occasions, if I ask for them to fix something or cut my nails a certain way, the don't answer me but simply begin talking in their language. When I ask again they have on multiple occasions said things like "I heard you" or someone sitting on the other side will chime in and tell me to "wait" and I find myself apologizing simply for wanting confirmation on my request. Disappointed because I use to come all the time and I have taken so many friends and family here. It has definitely changed over the years and even the quality of the polishes provided has severely declined. Will never be coming back. There are plenty of other nail salons in the surrounding area and most offer discounts if you're a CSUN student! Don't waste your time or money coming here.

I ALWAYS ALWAYS go to Anne & she is THE BEST manicurist I've ever met. Seriously. Go to her. She knows and cares about you and your nail condition and remembers every detail when you go in. She'll give you her opinion about what you want for you nails and it really helps. I don't wanna share her but, gotta get her more company cuz SHE DESERVES IT. !!! I got acrylics and whenever I take them off, she was the only one that made my nails survive even after it where as everywhere else, they just break after two days, if you know what I mean. They are HEALTHY, and PRETTY. Great service too.

I've been coming here on and off for about two years and for the most part I've usually been impressed by my nails. Of course there's been times where they'll be too harsh filing down my acrylics but nothing where I've felt the need to say anything. Today I went in for a fill and after scrolling through the yelp page I found a photo of something I would like to get. I asked David and at first he seemed confused showing me gel samples and I explained that it's a powder almost that would go on my nail. I should've seen that as a red flag and when I told him I was perfectly okay with getting a different style he insisted and asked the other nail techs about the picture. After they explained the process to him every couple of minutes they would walk by to check and by the end of the session that's what I was left with. It's not the worse I've ever gotten but at the same time if I'm paying $40 for a fill which ended up needing gel which I was fine with it should at least been what I asked for. Instead of leading a customer on, I should've been told that he didn't know how to do it. I will no longer be returning to this salon because of how they handled the situation. Everyone was avoiding eye contact since they knew it was far from the picture along with the fact that David rushed to the next customer immediately after.

From my experience, Brittnie's post below is right on target. Each time I am in the area, and before an event at the Soraya, I have my nails done by Sarah. Since I told Sarah about my infection after one of our spa sessions, she has had quite an attitude change. Not only did Sarah mimick the sound of a crying baby when I expressed my concern about the disinfection of tools she is using after use on each client, she sounded like an immature child mocking another who had just been injured. I gave Sarah other chances to change her attitude and treatment since then, and went back yesterday to ask her if she could do my nails again. Not only did she not greet her faithful customer, but instead pointed to the back and in a harsh, dry tone said, "Tracy in back!" I wasn't a K-9; I was her regular, large-tipping customer. I figured poor Sarah was still embarrassed that she had caused injury and infection and that she was not able to tolerate that a customer had concerns about it, so she took it out on the customer instead. Also, Brittnie says in her post that there is a lot of gossip at that facility and that the employees' bad attitude extends so far as to mock their customers in Vietnamese, right in front of the customer. I concur. Sarah was not happy that I had to wait some time so that my injury and infection could subside before I could have another spa session. I told her I was on antibiotics after the doctor prescribed them following the spa treatment w/ her. I had to wait. I apologized to Sarah for having made her feel uncomfortable or hurt her feelings in any way, but even my doctor asked if I had had gone to a nail salon to do my nails when I went in to have the infection treated. It didn't help. Sarah was no longer communicative. I wondered if she didn't understand. I felt badly for her. This time when I went in, she was upset and said, "go to the back!...Tracy!...You so nice befoe!...Now, "EEEE...OWWW," you say you want Tracy eyebrow...You go Tracy!" Then she looked at the customer she was attending to, and the other employee working alongside her, laughed, and told them what I said about withholding the spa a few days ago when I went in to have Tracy do my eyebrows: "Noooo... ...Tracy...ehhhh...ha, ha, ha...Tracy in back!....you go Tracy." For goodness sake! I had to allow six to eight weeks' time go by and let the antibiotics heal the infection before I had another spa treatment. I had to withhold doing the nails during that time. She didn't like that I asked for Tracy and wasn't able to do my nails at that time, or when I went back to Tracy a few days ago to do my eyebrows and didn't have the luxury of time to wait for her on that day when she asked me if I wanted my nails done. I can't have Sarah causing injury and spreading infections to customers with her unsterilized equipment, even though she feels badly that I gently told her about it and had to wait to have my nails done again. Sarah, instead, felt she had to insult her regular customer with immature mimicking and insulting gossip in front of other employees and customers, while the customer she was mocking was sitting only three feet away. I gave Sarah several chances to improve her attitude and treatment, but I now feel quite disappointed at her disregard for a customer's right to express concern; a customer's right to choose not to have certain work done at a given time, and a customer's right to have another employee do different type of work which is unrelated to doing someone's nails. Incredibly immature response to customer concerns, and jealous of other employees, in my opinion. The customer takes the brunt of the jealousy and disregard. Customer has a choice: This customer will have only Tracy do her eyebrows from now on, if and when she is in the area, and will search for a different place to do her nails prior to an event at the So

I was really disappointed with this salon and their lack of customer service. I waited over an hour and a half to get a gel manicure and gel pedicure, even though there were some employees just sitting on their phones. Every time I asked how long they needed, they kept saying a few minutes and then 30 minutes passed by and 20 and so on and so on. If they did not have time for me, they simply should have told me and I would have went to a different salon but instead they kept saying a few minutes. They also over charged me. Wouldn't recommend, plenty of other great salons in the area!
