I have been going here for 15 years but recently my experiences have been frustrating. Took my dog in for a growth to be looked at. So far 3 different vets have seen him and given treatment plans that haven't helped. Next step is surgery. Been trying to schedule it. No one answers the phone or returns my call. Been trying to schedule surgery for my dog for over a month and I really feel like they do not care. I have started looking for a new vet because I don't feel like my dog is getting the care he needs.

The vet staff was nice and so was the doctor initiallyI hate to leave a bad review on a business but I don't want the same thing that happened to me with my cat happen to another person. Personally, i had to use my credit card for 2K dollars and still left with no information on why my cat was breathing weird except for the fact she was constipated. I didn't leave knowing if she was fixed, how old she was, or any information on this stray cat i had just saved. I left with some medication for constipation. I wish i could have given them more stars bc they do have a friendly relationship with the animal in there care but a lack of follow up with the owner and for the amount of money i paid, i wish more questions of mine could have been answered. Overall, I would not go back.

Don't go here !!! I should of our this review up years ago . There is an old man who is the doctor there that hurt my dog years ago . He was trying to look into my dogs ear and my dog didn't want him to . He didn't seem to know how to handle the situation so he said I'm taking him in the other room with an assistant. I let him . I literally heard rustling around through the door , God knows what he and the assistant were doing , I almost opened the door when he came through back with my dog who suddenly had a black eye !! His eye was all red and I said what happened to his eye ?? He said I don't know but I didn't hit him !! I actually heard them wrestling with my dog in the back room . I feel awful that I ever let that old doctor take my sweet dog in the back room. That's not how you handle a situation!!! I never would dream of going back there again!! That doctor is sick!!! Don't go there - I wouldn't trust anyone that works there because they know what that doctor does . I go to Chatoak now on Chatsworth where they are wonderful and treat the dogs & cats with decency and respect.

Terrible service. Terrible clinic , Terrible customer service. 10 days ago I took my dog for a check to find out about the growth on her leg and the limping. The doctor seen my pet and took biopsy charged me almost 500$ , said will call with results in 3 days . It took place on Tuesday 11 days ago . They claimed to be open 7 days a week . Today is Friday 29 th , still don’t have the results. Buy the most annoying situation is that I left multiple messages and I keep calling every day and leaving messages. Zero return calls back .Most of the days, they don’t pick up the phone , on Wednesday 8 days later I was able to speak to someone and I was told that someone will call me , but guess what? Nobody has called. And naturally nobody is picking up the phone on Thursday or Friday ( today ) . I love my dog more than anything and I was anxious waiting for the results. I am a medical practitioner and I treated my patients like this , there would be a serious consequences . If you care about your pets. Don’t take your pets to this clinic.

Porter Veterinary is not a bad bad place to take your pet. The reason I stopped taking our puppy here is because they put fees on top of services. They were adding +$10.50 for tech fees and like +$25 for bio something fees. I decided to look elsewhere, and not only were the shots cheaper, but there were no additional fees. If you have to bring them here do so just know you're going to have to pay an addtional something.

If you are looking for a Vet who is reliable, affordable, and deeply cares, check out Porter Veterinary Center for your pet and visit them today. The Dr on staff and Muskaan as help took care of my kitty in an instant and made her all better. Grateful and relieved. Thank you! Highly recommend them!

Be aware from this place , I have been a customer for 6+ years but lately it seems that their focus is to drain your wallet. Unnecessary procedures are included in the estimate, pricey follow-ups, questionable treatment prognosis, additional costly procedures with no positive outcome. I had a second opinion somewhere else, and my dog's issue was solved. From this experience, I will no longer be returning. Just be aware, and if something is weird, it's always best to take a second opinion.

They are very bad doctors here, I brought my dog here and they charged me for eye exams, and they gave me an eye ointment and it didn't help and I came back again and they charged me again for checking my dog's eyes and they He said that it was dryness in his eyes and that with new creams he would improve and that my dog had to use them for life and my dog went blind after two days, all because of the bad diagnosis that the doctor gave...they are only good for charge if you love pet like that please don't bring it here...they don't serve as pet doctors...

I finally had my last straw today, which broke the camels back!!!! My family has been going to Porter probably for 30 or 40 years. As of today, we will never step foot in that place again.... It started back before Covid, when I would call and would be told there was no veterinarian in the office. This happened multiple times. How can you have a veterinary hospital with no vet on duty??? Today, I brought my cat in for a nail trim. I did not ask the price because most veterinarian hospitals or clinics charge about $25.... Petsmart is only $15. After they were done trimming, I was told it was $50.60.... WHAT!!!! I WAS PISSED. Everyone needs to make a profit, but dont rip people off for 5 minutes of work. Also, my cat is very calm when being trimmed, so it wasn't like they needed an army to hold him down....This isn't even an office visit or shall I say exam. It was only a vet tech who trimmed them. I also noticed their pet food supplies were pretty empty on the shelves. Are they going out of business???? After today, I hope they do.... Goodbye, you won't be getting my families business anymore.

Porter Pet Hospital has always been my go to Vet. They were fully staffed and reasonable prices. Ever since Covid, they have gone down hill. Low on staff and poor customer service, plus the prices went up. My dog has gone there since she was a pup. Now she is 11. I took her for her appointment today and when I walked in nobody was at the front desk. There is a sign taped to the counter saying LINCH 1-2 pm. My appointment was at 2:30pm. So I waited and said hello out loud but no answer. Someone eventually showed up and said someone will help you in a moment, they are just finishing lunch. The place looked as if they were moving out or going out of business. Either way I highly do not recommend this place.

Poet had a great experience: she's very uneasy about new settings, but everybody made her feel entirely safe and loved ?? True Professionals and Protectors, Real Guardian Angels!!I also have anxieties loll and the receptionist, nurses, and doctor melted all of them away. The place is filled with warm, beautiful faces ☀️Poet's eye is all better, it healed almost immediately!! The eye drops helped, but more than anything Poet was healed by your Love. She looked happy, totally aware that people care so much about her health ?Thank You with all of our hearts, we are eternally grateful to you!! Spectacular human beings, naturally gifted, genuinely empathetic, highly experienced, patient, focused, and making everyone feel like family ?All of our love and gratitude to you!
