I'm so happy to finally goto New Delhi Spiceland. They are the real deal, they have everything you need to make your delicious dishes from India. This review is for the market only, I have yet to try their ready made food which seems very popular. Asafetida is readily available here in a few sizes and brands. The owner and staff here are very knowledgeable and helpful. They carry mirichi peppers, and other hot peppers that are tasty and spicy. All of their products are fresh and fabulous. They have this jar of pickled mangos which I'm totally addicted to now. While it may be a smaller store, I personally like to take my time and read each item. They are well stocked with a variety of products. It helps to do a little research before coming here. I get all my pantry staples here, mostly spices, but then I'll goto super king or valley marketplace and get produce and protein. Expert tips: bring your own reusable bags, credit cards accepted, maybe print out a list of items you want, or bookmark different items.

The food is good. Service is not great. We go elsewhere for Indian now (there are better prices and better service elsewhere). Try the Indian Food on Parthenia. It is cafeteria style so the ambiance is set up for take out, which is what we used to do when we used to order from here.

I love walking in there for there snacks like they're chips you won't find at 7 eleven or anywhere basically. Delicious ice cream pops..they're prices are very fair. I can buy a can of coka cola for 1.50. Love their soda drink better than sprite..called Limca...better try!Store owner is very nice so far

This is a nice place to buy Indian food remade Naans and spices and Sweets and Fruit Cakes and Rusks. But cashiers and owners write their prices on their own. Some write their prices but some do not. The prices do not mention only quantity. So I am giving it 4.5 stars only.

Super helpful guy. Lots of spices and treats to eat! Super great experience!The store is nice and clean. There is a small parking lot and street parking available.

New Delhi Spiceland is a cozy Indian grocery store and restaurant in Northridge. This mom and pop place has been there for decades. And I have sporadically come here to eat. The majority of the store is taken by groceries. The restaurant part has few small tables and serves hot food. Only difference is that now, there are no South Indian dishes, only North Indian offerings.I bought a bag of roasted, unsalted Channa (chickpeas). It tastes great and is good when you have the munchies. From the hot food section, I ordered Chana aloo tiki (Flat disc shaped spicy potato cutlet, topped with spicy garbanzo curry, chutneys and onions). This had great spice and flavor. The combination of the aloo tiki (potato cutlet) and the garbanzos provides a satisfying blend of texture and taste. Food ordering and collection is at the counter. Warm and friendly service.
