very clean and welcoming store, Joy greeted us when we entered, helped with what i was looking for and let us know of all the awesome sales going on. My kids loved trying all the toys they had out for display. she also helped us at check out she was very friendly and helpful!

This is a fabulous store for parents and guardians who want to find cool toys, learning games, etc. The staff is always extremely helpful if you need ideas, suggestions, or reviews. The quality of the products are great too!

Went in for the laminating machine (so cheap btw) and came out with reading toys for my kid. This place has so much! I will be back for learning toys and gifts! I am so happy a place like this exists.

Even if you are not an educator, Lakeshore is a great place to go for not only wonderful learning toys & books for your kids, but also arts & craft supplies. All at reasonable prices to boot. The selection is big & they always have what we're looking for whenever we go in. Our kids love being able to pick out a small to and we're okay with it knowing they will at least get some sort of educational value out of it. Staff is very friendly and knowledgeable and, when they do in store events like reading/activity time, they all are able to interact with the kids in very kind and caring ways. They also often give out coupons on those events for even more savings so that's another perk to taking the kids to the events. Parking is in the rear and plentiful, but it does share the space with all the other businesses in the vicinity so I guess at times the lot could get full due to restaurants being popular. However, that has never been the case for us as we usually go on weekend mornings before they open. Just something to keep in mind.

This store is pretty big with a variety of toys and hands-on activities on display throughout. We came for the Saturday Read & Play (Grumpy Monkey) and got a 50% coupon for a second item valid that day.Lindsay did a great job with story time, she had the kids and parents engaged until the end. The scavenger hunt was fun and the kids got prizes. The kids love Lakeshore and to say they explored the aisles today is an understatement. We left with two new items and we'll be back for story time again.

Great selection of educational toys and books. My daughter was struggling with reading at grade level, so I visited lakeshore learning and bought some grade level workbooks. I have seen a HUGE difference. Even her teacher asked me what had changed. The books consist of short stories followed by multiple choice questions to test for comprehension. My kid loves to read now. Staff is extremely friendly and helpful.

I am the owner of "Outside the Box". I have been buying learning tools from your store/company since 2007. I don't often make it into the store anymore, rather, we get items shipped, but I did found myself in the neighborhood recently and met Beth, your Assistant Store Manager. I am writing this email because the woman is incredible and should be the Manager! Her customer service was off the charts, her knowledge of the products, invaluable. As the Owner of a business, I am aware that people are very quick to offer negative comments/feedback, and not so often positive. Beth deserves a raise and a promotion. I watched how she interreacted with the customers, problem-solved, and basically ran that place with grit & grace. She is the type of employee I WANT/NEED at my place! On top of it all, she is highly professional and strongly personable. I hope you all know how lucky you are to have such an employee when the workforce is so temperamental and fickle (spoiled & entitled)! Besides making great, long lasting products, Lakeshore is a wonderful store. The Northridge location is the absolute best!!! I enjoy going there because their staff go above and beyond. They are the friendliest, most positive, cheerful, helpful staff I have ever meet. I've been to many stores throughout my life and I've met one person, maybe two, in a store that possess the qualities that I've mentioned above, but at the Lakeshore in Northridge, everyone is top-notch! Edwin, Thalia, and Victoria are so awesome! Thalia and Victoria were able to get me 3 of my favorite alphabet card bulletin board set that is discontinued and Edwin offered to fix my pretend and play hardwood hutch and told me I can get my 15 ft. of free lamination on another day. I recently met Sarah and she was soooo sweet and helpful as well. I would recommend this Lakeshore location to anyone. The positive environment they have created is amazing!
