All the five star reviews are a great indication of how awesome this place is. I’ve come here about 3 times now, once to fix a strap that broke on one of my flats, once to restore a vintage Chanel purse my mom gave me, and once to fix the heel of a pair of shoes I had been holding onto because they are so comfortable. Every time, Johnny has been super pleasant to deal with. He’s very honest about what he can and can’t do and I appreciate that very much. The third visit with the heel, I decided not to fix it because after talking to him about it, it would not have been worth it. So he helped me part ways with one of my favorite pairs of shoes. For the Chanel purse, he gave me options of what he can do, from basic to more detailed. I chose to do the more comprehensive one to try to restore it as much as possible and was extremely happy with the results. Unfortunately I only have “after” photos and did not take before photos. But he really did a great job and I appreciated the options. So happy to have found this place! Honest, skilled and reliable.

I google "shoe repair near me" and found "Johnnys Shoe Repair with good reviews.
It was my first and I will come back for alterations (pants, etc.) in addition to shoe repair. Johnny did a great job on my shoes, well polished. He also fixed the torn heel opening by putting a small piece of leather. Great work with reasonable price.
There's parking in front (Reseda Blvd) also at the back (via Rayen St).
Johnny & wife are nice couple, pleasant to talk to in person and via phone.
I would recommend them to my friends.

Been here a couple times now to get my purses repaired unfortunately I forgot to take before and after pics but trust me his work is impeccable. His prices are very fair and he's very friendly. He also resoles Louboutins which I saw several different options. It's always great to give business to the family run shops.

5 stars for doing a solid job fixing the heels on a pair of worn Air Jordans. They also caught and fixed the top of the shoe that was coming loose on the stitching. So many people talk about buying used and vintage, or supporting companies that use recycled materials. I think that fixing what we have is something that is often overlooked but just as important. Their prices are fair and they are consistent.

I have bought quite an expensive pair of boots only to find out they are just a tiny bit too small. Did not want to return, and the store does not offer half sizing anyway.Found Johnny’s Shoe Repair on Google. Absolutely incredible guy. Did an amazing job stretching the boots, now they fit like a glove. Everything was on time (got them back exactly on the day I was originally told). Johnny made sure to ask me to try them on before I left.I will be only coming to Johnny from now on!P.S. — he and his wife also do hand bag repair, and also tailoring for regular clothes!

Brought two leather shoes to be repaired on both soles. Johnny painted my brown shoes without asking me to paint. Not to mention, the paint that he used was a different shade of color. He used some cheap sole that the recent rain this past week created some peeling and bubbles on the soles that he replaced. Terrible! Never again.

THE VERY BEST shoe repair service you can get in the San Fernando valley. My family and I have been to Johnny for YEARS. He has never dissapointed. Always does a FAST and excellent job and is very affordable.
