I paid $360 for this offi e to do my taxes, they said they sent off my paperwork and Wait to hear from the IRS, waited for months ne er Heard anything,called the office and they said be patient and they will be in tou h,well almost the whole year went by and nothing,finally called the IRS and they said they never got any returns from me,they never sent them,so noe I got a red flag on my name,had to send them my hard copy,noe I e been waiting on a refu d for the $360, its been almost 3 weeks and still no refund,do not let these people do your taxes

Earlier this year I went to H&R Block as I had used them the previous year where they did a satisfactory job. That was not the case this year. I ended up having to return to the Northridge location FOUR TIMES in one week to get everything straightened out. I did not meet with the tax preparer as I had requested the same person as previously used. My taxes are not complicated so I emailed them in. When I first reviewed them I noticed my main source of income was not included. When I pointed this out to the tax preparer, he said, oh yeah, the document was password protected and I was going to email you but got distracted and he ended up preparing my taxes without out it. To make up for it, he gave me $100 discount (I am told that is generous) and asked that I come in that following Monday. I went in Monday, picked up my taxes, paid and left. Upon review at my home, I noted he had changed my filing status from head of household to single with no dependents. My son was with me at the time and the tax preparer prepared his taxes as well, so he was well aware he was my dependent and at no time was I asked to change my filing status. I was asked to come back on Wednesday to pick up my amended taxes but when I went the office was closed with all H&R branding was removed and a sign on the door said to visit their Sylmar location. When I emailed the preparer he was like, oh I was in the back boxing stuff up and we had to lock the front because of all the winos in the area. So once again, he asked for us to return the next day, Thursday where my son was FINALLY able to pick up our amended returns. Please keep in mind in order for me to get to this location it took me 20-30 minutes one way each time. After expending all that time and energy, I contacted the branch manager for a full refund on top of the $100 discount already given but out of the $255 I paid I only received $55. When I tried to contact the manager again I was told she was out for the next 8 weeks but did finally make contact with another person who after her investigation felt the refund I received was adequate and they would be closing their file as "a service was provided". I would not recommend this particular location and I know I will l be looking for another tax preparer when it comes tax time again.

This is my third year doing my Taxs with Mrs Bernadeth Reyes at H&R BLOCK AT 9016 BALBOA BLVD IN THE CORNER WITH NORDOFF IN NORTHRIDGE and she is very special for taking a good care of my both Federal and CA State Taxs... I am very proud of her job and I can tell you; she is the top one...

Not really a great start to my first time getting my taxes done by someone else. I had an appointment at 12 and didn't get scene until almost 12:30 due to a "walk in" being prioritized over my actual appointment lol. The person who helped me was nice but to be charged a 145 fee on a 200 refund is horrible. This will be my last time coming here
