Someone give Jimmy a raise, he went above and beyond taking the time to help my daughter find the correct color Stanly cup. He put a smile on my little girl's face and that is priceless.

NEVER EVER shop here. I bought Brooks sneakers online, they were delivered 12/27and wore them IN MY HOME, and they hurt my ties. Ducks sporting good sells DEFECTIVE shoes! I went to the Northridge store and Jimmy, the cashier ( ya big job, maybe he felt he needed to Hage some authority bc being a cashier is a lowely job I was one at one point) refused to exchange my shoes bc he said they were worn. They are in PERFECT CONDITION! I called corporate and got the run around, saying they can be exchanged or returned within 7 days, which I am within that period, if they are in selling condition, which they are! The fabric is perfect, only a small dirt smidge on the side. Yet dicks sells defective shoes? Jimmy needs to fired bc not only he refused to exchange, im not asking for $$ back, he treated me like a common criminal, saying we get ppl doing this all the time.

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE ! In every department- registers, apparel and management. Employees take their sweet time "finding" sizes, as well as super slow at the registers. Multiple employees had to search multiple times for an extended amount of time for one item, which shows they are being lazy and not properly looking the first time. The manager stood there and watched people walk in and out of the store but didn't bother to hop on a register when his team was struggling, even when he saw an insanely long developing, and there were lines on BOTH ends of the store. Prices are great but service is terrible, do not rely on their staff to accommodate you, they are on their own timing.

What customer service? It’s 9:30AM and the associates won’t even hold eye contact, speak, or acknowledge any customers other than those directly in front at the register. Long line. No, “thank you for waiting” or “we’ll be right with you”. Just 5 associates avoiding eye contact. If you’re already burned out at 9AM, it’s going to be a long day. Pity. Very nice quality apparel, but we left after the line wasn’t moving and no one seems to care. Drove to the Sketchers Outlet and loaded up on $500 worth of sales where the associates were cheerful, helpful and friendly.

Worst experience with this establishment. Trying to get shoes for my friend, the employee brought shoe to the back throws it on the shelf walks away, deals with other customers. Finally sees me again says oh hold on, goes in back where I can see him looks around doesn’t touch anything, walks out and says nope we don’t have them. This was the display shoe. After stating that he says it’s busy things get lost… 40 mins of my time wasted. I’m sure the name of this place is referring to that employees.

The service in this store was terrible! We had to wait a long time to get a size for a pair of shoes and the employee that was originally helping us out was walking in the another aisle pretending to work. He kept talking with other employees and laughing, not helping us out. He was pretending to work by walking in the sock aisle and was just touching the socks, not bothering to organize the mess. That employee ended up calling another employee to help out because in the end, he was too lazy to do so. They also never have anything in stock when we do come here. We only go to this location because it's convenient, but it's definitely time to find another. It's not worth coming to this location, if you can find another one, please go to that location. They got all these employees but barely anyone is helpful. They really live up to the name...And to add to this negative experience, as we were paying, they ended up closing the entrance to the mall, and I politely asked if they can open it for us since we parked on the other side of the mall. They said they cannot do so, and so we had to walk all the way around the mall to where we parked. They aren't very considerate and will make you walk around.

So this store is connected to the mall and today when I got there it was 10 o'clock and the inside entrance was closed and it was raining. I had to walk outside with my child in the rain to the main entrance I guess and when I asked, are they going to open the Mall entrance? They said not till 11 I think that is the dumbest thing especially if it's connected to the mall and the mall opened at 10 what is the purpose because inside there was a whole bunch of people working walking around, meaning it wasn't understaffed. They should open the main door to the mall.

I want to say a huge thanks to this location for taking care of my little brother's popped tire on the spot! Great service and helped him get back on his way to his dorm in less than 10 minutes! Really appreciate the great customer service!

Very disappointed with this store and management, my daughter was fallowed around the store and this man tried to get her into the restroom with him, this man also locked himself in the restroom refused to come out for a few minutes he finally came out and all they did was ask him to leave, I called the store as soon as my daughters let me know what happened I spoke to a store manager she assured me the police was called when I went down to the Northridge police department I was told they never received a call from Dick’s Sporting Goods! Shame on you guys how can this happen in your store and you guys do nothing about and then lie that you did!!! Please be alert for this man walking the streets

I hate to post such a negative review but the store manager needs to be aware and casual shoppers should be warned. This place opitomizes everything that’s wrong with retail culture today - staffed by kids who don’t want to be there and have no interest in customer service. I visited the store yesterday to buy a new set of golf clubs and wanted to check them out in the fitting clinic. I was there for 10 minutes and saw no staff, so asked a young girl on a cash desk near the exit to send an available ‘expert’ to the golf department. I waited another 15 minutes and no one came. Meanwhile, 4 brattish teens took brand new drivers into the fitting clinic space and hammered the hell out of them. Refusing to give up, I called the store on my cell, spoke to a staffer and explained politely I had been waiting 25 minutes for service. He said he’d get someone to me… 10 minutes later, no one appeared and I gave up and left. Dropped $1200 at Roger Dunn instead. Dick’s seem to have the monopoly on sports shops these days and it seems staff think people have no options. I hope someone in authority reads this and seriously starts thinking about staff training. I won’t be shopping at Dick’s again. I much prefer places where staff actually care about customers. I don’t expect to be treated like royalty in a store, but I don’t expect to be ignored either. If possible, buy from Amazon or find a local dealer who specializes in your sport. Pay a little more for a little better.
