Recently had great customer service! Many, many years ago I was a regular at this store. Then one birthday I received a B&BW gift card from my son in law. When I tried to use it, I was ‘rudely’ told I’d have to go to another one of their locations, such as the mall. I explained that this was my location. Needless to say I stopped using this store and any products in any of their stores and their product line.Recently, I was with a friend and she had to purchase something for her daughter so I decided to go in with her. I was pleasantly surprised that the sales person was very helpful and spent time with both of us with our questions.

I have been a long-time customer of Bath & Body Works; I remember loving coming to the store as a teenager. I would normally not take the time to review a large retail chain like this, but I am taking the time for this one because I feel it has a few major benefits: 1) Somehow, they manage to ventilate it better than other stores. It is not so completely overwhelming with scents. I don't always walk out with a headache like I do with some of the stores. 2) The employees are nice and helpful (sometimes a bit too helpful). They seem less cranky than some of the other stores. 3) It is fairly well organized and the signage is done better than some of the stores. I see one downside - They don't really stock a lot of things well. Like there was practically no hand sanitizer, which seemed odd to me.

This location has the most variety as far as scents that are available and has some of the friendliest staff around. The staff here makes it a habit to get to know it's regular customers so they always know what I'm there to go find - the newest fragrances. There's lots of parking available so that will never, ever be an issue.

I am livid because of what I just went through today at this location. First and foremost being a retail manager for 10+ years never would I stop my customers from coming in to shop 5 minutes before the store actual closes. This is what exactly happened to me tonight, I arrived at 747 when the store closes at 8. I let the girl know that I still had time left and I already knew what I wanted. She specifically said that she didn't want anyone else coming in because there was already a long line at the register and they all wanted to go home on time! It's the holidays and people are shopping this is what happens! I would understand if I tried getting in 5min after closing but before !? Makes no sense. Please whoever runs this store re train your associates on customer service. This is how stores close down and people just want to shop online.

Visited the porter ranch store today 11/7/23@ 1.45pm it was dead silent no customers and no music no one greeting us. Two employees at the back registers were on a very intense quiet conversation. I finally interrupted them because they just kept ignoring us. I asked about if a candle was available. The employee was dismissive saying only holiday candles are in store. It's really weird since bath and body work people friendly and helpful. Not sure if they are having a bad day but don't take it on customers

Rudest sales people at this store. I came in on a Sunday morning and the manager that was on duty didn't want to be bothered with anyone. I was looking for something in particular and when I asked her where it was, she was down right irritated to do her job. I would rather go to Sherman Oaks or Burbank where the sales people are welcoming and helpful.

A nice place to visit if you are tired of the standard, run of the mill, mundane and dull fragrances for hand soap, shampoo, bath gel, and the like. Bath & Body Works have unique and attractive scents for their products (and there are many). However, I am attracted only to 1 or 2 aromas, per visit. Sometimes, I walk out empty handed. Overall, they could be pricey. The way to get around that hurdle is to visit them periodically, so that you bump into a sale at the store (or get on their mailing list, to receive too many emails). At the discounted price, these items are a good buy. Service is good.

While shopping at this particular location, I encountered an extremely RUDE employee named, Andrea. I will definitely be calling the company's corporate office tomorrow morning to speak to someone (about her). People who treat customers so rudely and condescendingly (with such a snippy and curt attitude) should NOT be working with the public!!! Update: 'Not so ironically (but somewhat amusingly), I just happened to read a few other Yelp reviews here, on this same store, and TWO of them specifically mention this employee, "Andrea", (who's apparently supposed to be a 'manager'), by name...and also mention her unpleasant attitude, and how RUDE she was to them! One of the reviews was written in January of this year - which really makes me wonder: "WHY is a person like that STILL working at this store???"

Disappointed, went to shop and store was closing at 7:00. Was told at 6:40 when I walked up, “ we are not letting any more people in the store” I have no clue why or how they came up with this policy of not allowing people to shop during a big sale. I’m really disappointed and very upset with how I was treated. It was not professional or kindly communicated, rough and rusty

I am very disappointed with this store today! This has always been my go to store and every one is always super friendly and nice and not to mention helpful. But today...... so I had a free reward not the one that you get like in the mail ($8.95) but the one you get when you spend a certain amount ($16.95) today they are having a sale on the lotions so I went up to the register and I tell the lady okay I'm going to do two transaction to make it easier for you and she tells me oh you can use this coupon on this item. Okay I went and exchanged the item and when I get back she tells me oh you can can't combine the coupon and sale. I kindly told her yes that's why I told you I wanted to them separately I was trying to make it easier for you. And immediately you see the change of attitude! She automatically caught an attitude and I did not fail to tell her ! And she responded well I didn't like who you said how your trying to make job easier! To which I responded that is what I was trying to do because now look how long this one transaction is taking.!!! Her name! Andrea! And I'm looking at the reviews and clearly this girl just has a bad attitude so I ask.... If im not the only person saying something about her attitude why hasn't anything been done. Because clearly she still thinks it's okay to talk to because they way she does. News flash your in customer service and there is a way to talk to people.

1/27/23 UPDATE: After contacting customer service and receiving a phone call back from a supervisor, Bath & Body Works graciously allowed me to replace the candles. I am pleased with the outcome, but obviously not with how we got here. Nonetheless, I am very grateful for what ended up being great customer service form their corporate department. Thank you, Bath & Body Works corporate!(I'm keeping the 1 star rating for this store, however, because of my experience at this particular location).ORIGINAL REVIEW:Horrible customer service. Manager “Andrea” was extremely rude and refused to provide a solution for two clearly defective candles.I was trying to return/exchange/get store credit or anything for 2 candles that I had only burned TWICE before they both just stopped burning. One of them even started emitting black smoke / soot before it stopped burning and wouldn't light anymore. I explained this to two store associates who were sympathetic and said "let me ask the manager to see what we can do."The manager Andrea comes out looking very bothered and says "what's the problem here?" with an attitude. I explained the situation and she just shrugs her shoulders and says, "there's nothing that can be done because of our new policy." I responded by explaining these candles are clearly defective since they won't light anymore and one of them emit lots of black smoke. She disregarded my concerns and just said "since it's halfway used, there's nothing I can do." Her attitude was extremely rude, condescending and sassy. She talked to me like I was in pre-school.I will definitely never shop at this location again, and am seriously considering whether or not to shop at Bath and Body Works all together. There's no reason I shouldn't be able to return/exchange clearly defective candles and no reason I should be treated like a second-class citizen by Andrea.The only way to tell whether a candle is defective or not is to burn it, and candles should burn more than halfway. If a candle that only burns halfway is not considered defective, that means Bath and Body Works expects customers to only get half the use of their candles. In other words, if a candle is advertised as offering 30 hours of burn time, we should only expect 15.Not to mention the fact that the bottom of these candles say "100% satisfaction guaranteed." Since it's okay for a candle to stop burning halfway through, they should change it to "50% satisfaction guaranteed."
