I’m going to start off by saying I’ve had tres leches cakes from here for years but I went in recently and the cake was disgustingly dry. How do you sell what is supposed to be a milky moist cake with a dry top layer and wet bottom layer and to top it all off the audacity of selling it for $4 when it tastes like it’s been sitting there for a week. Much to improve here.

I like shopping at this Vallarta I don't go here often but when I do it's a great place for groceries. They have food service area as well where they sell tacos, burritos, etc. I have always love the tacos de Al pastor they sell here. They're delicious! Overall the food is great however the customer service at the food counter is going down. A while back I had gone and decided to try their pupusas for the first time ... I guess they don't get too many orders for pupusas because the lady seemed annoyed when I placed the order and it made sense it took a good 15 almost 20 minutes for them to be ready. I didn't think nothing of this at the time I figured it was a one off. However this past Sunday on Sept 15 I went to guy groceries and decided to buy two tacos and a drink for lunch.. when I went up to the counter there were at least 4 ladies there talking amongst themselves and looking they were doing prep work but no visible people waiting in line. I was waiting for someone to acknowledge me and help me but no one did. Finally a lady by the name of Roxana came up to the register. She looked my way but didn't say anything I was about to ask for my order when turned around and told another customer that she could charge her at the register. (It seems she was around the corner and had ordered some of the cooked meat on the other side.) Since she was obviously helping her out first I stepped aside. After she finished I went back up to the register and assumed she was going to help me next but before I had the chance to speak up .. another worker came up to her and interrupted me and asked her to check if the had some type of flavored tamale. At this point still no verbal acknowledgement. Instead of saying to her coworker, one moment let me help this customer since I was clearly waiting she checked for what he needed and again charge for his food almost being all flirty with him. Finally after helping him she took my order... Once she was done she handed me my drink and just put the ticket up for the tacos however there was no one at the prepping station to make the tacos and she just walked away. I had assumed she was going to prep them since no one was there and she took my order and handed me my drink..previous times I have ordered this is what they do. At this I was already getting annoyed so I decided to wait to see how long she would have me wait while she was just standing on the other side... I was about to go back up to her when another lady turned the corner she was putting some guacamole away and when she turned around she asked me what I was waiting for... I told her and she said ok and then turned around and went to find yet another lady that finally made my tacos. I didn't get her name but she did ask me if I waited long I told her a few minutes and she just said ok... I looked back to see if I could see Roxana but at that point she was no longer there.. who knows how long I would have waited had the other lady not said anything..I was trying to be patient but they weren't busy ... They actually got busy after helping me so that's why I'm giving it 3 stars only. Roxana definitely needs training on providing better customer service and being professional with coworkers during work hours.

Save Don't understand in the Vallarta stores because the food they sell is terrible, the meats are very old ? I think they cook with the canernes that are spoiling and then the cooks they have don't know how to cook I don't know but I personally don't recommend that stores in vallarta then you go and buy orange juice ? and that juice is very old. oranges are not what they spend, it's that they sell quality stuff

Just ordered menudo for the first time here and the portions are so small compared to other places. As for as the breakfast burritos they are a decent size for its price.

They have fresh pastries and produce. They also have a butcher counter for fresh meats, poultry and seafood. There's a counter for freshly made Mexican food.

Good food selection, love the bakery aka concha’s! Liquor selection, all the needs you need to make some home cook meals. The parking lot is a little weird but I was able to find parking. They just renovated the place and it looks great! They have prepped meals here if you are looking for a quick bite. Salsas to take home.

I recommend that you do not go to buy, oh, to the gundia, they are going to kill people, the pork is very delicate, I went to buy pork, it was lying in the stinky pit, they are pigs, I hope they keep them healthy so that the mountains

Got beef meatball soup and the meatballs are raw on the inside. Don't waste your money on hot food here the service sucks and the food sucks.

This place is exceedingly expensive for what they offer. You need to go to El Super and check how much they are ripping you off. Ceviche at $8. All produce at least 25% more expensive than El Super or Superior Market. Try something else so you can find out.

Was in the parking lot minding my business when a young man named Fernando passed by my car and looked inside laughing several times. I ask the gentleman if he’s okay which he responds rudely to. I call the store to let them know of the rude employee only to be on the phone with incompetent Alma who apparently can’t match a description and name to anyone currently working.(how many Fernando’s are working at one Vallarta? LMAO) some very unpleasant people working at this establishment. The sushi was good here.
