Wonderful place to have a meal with plentiful options. As a Thai, we’ve been coming to this place for around 7 years, and we have no complaints. I’ve heard several complain about the moo ping vendor, and how small the sticks are, but there is two other vendors across the plaza that sells sticks that are 2x bigger! Food is fresh and well made, we will continue to visit and pray! P.S. on weekends and holidays parking is limited so you might have to park in the neighborhood behind the wat.

Favorite wat in Los Angeles. Walking in here you're pretty much transplanted back to Thailand. The food options here on weekends are excellent and the staff here are super friendly despite my inability to speak Thai. It gets busy here especially on weekends so either get here early or get lucky trying to find parking.

Wat Thai of Los Angeles is a serene and beautiful temple located in the heart of North Hollywood. The temple is a spiritual oasis for the Thai community and visitors alike, with its stunning architecture and the peaceful atmosphere it provides. The golden Buddha statues inside the temple are breathtaking, and the intricate design of the temple, with its traditional Thai elements, transports you straight to Thailand. The peaceful environment and the intricate detail of the temple’s structure make it a perfect place for reflection and meditation.
Food Stalls:
Just outside the temple, you’ll find food stalls offering a variety of authentic Thai dishes. The vendors are known for their high hygiene standards, ensuring a clean and pleasant dining experience. The food is not only delicious but also affordable. The options are abundant, and each dish offers an authentic taste of Thailand.

Enjoy some Thai street food goodness. Just as a disclaimer, I’m not Buddhist or Thai, but my husband and I love going here on the weekend for the street market outside the temple. Chef Jet Tila famously said this is some of the best Thai food outside Bangkok.
There’s a little booth/kiosk where you can trade for cash for tokens to purchase food.
My favorite vendors here sell:
* Khanom krok (fluffy coconutty pancake ball goodness) - get these fresh and it’s a dream
* Fried Potato balls - same vendor also makes some delicious fried taro and fried banana
* Thai boat noodles
* Skewers
All I can say is I’ve never had a bad meal here.

One of those “hidden treasures” of living in LA. Every Sat/Sun outdoor food vendors. Really takes me back to when we lived in south east Asia. Food was very good, people were friendly and tent to provide some much needed shade. Most entrees are $8-$10 and you need to exchange cash for plastic tokens to pay. Definitely planning to go back and try some more food

I used to love the food there.
But last Saturday i went there with my friend.
I ordered kao soi to take home for my husband. The quality of food was so little and the taste was not the same. Less than last time i was there .
I will not return there again.

I had a delightful experience at Wat Thai Temple today. The culinary offerings were exquisite! The mango sticky rice was a highlight, with its rich flavors and textures. The crab yellow curry noodles were great. The pork belly skewers were outstanding, and the Thai tea was a refreshing finish to the meal. Each dish was carefully prepared and bursting with flavor. If you have an appreciation for Thai cuisine, a visit is a must. Don’t forget to bring cash because you have to buy tokens for the food.

They do not pay their service providers. I would AVOID! They buy stuff and claim a stolen credit card so they get the goods and their money back.

It has been years since visiting LA Thai temple, I wanted to check out food court. I bought fresh Fried dough and coconut cakes. Exchanged money for their plastic coins. It is not cheap but part of money will go to temple. I went around 8:30 am when they just opened, parking space was easy to find but space was very compact. I did not have a chance to try food. Vendors were friendly. There are tables for eating.

A fun spot… first time I tried chicken butts… interesting… overrated? The other food stalls were decent. Go for the spice.

Very cool spot, great for the markets on the weekend.
Didn’t have much for a vegetarian honestly, but still a great spot and beautiful
Temple to visit.

As a Thai myself, I think the market is very much overrated. I was recommended here by spoken words of other Thais in LA saying the market has good food with very cheap price. First, the food was priced like $8 per bowl but the bowl was very small and I could get a 2x bowl for $16 in LA so it’s just the same. The famous $1 moo ping is also very small. I don’t think it’s worth $1 at all. Parking was extremely hard to find if you go at lunch time. I didn’t go into the temple so I couldn’t say much of what’s inside. But for what I’ve seen outside, the vibes, the market, I do not recommend.
