The best shop for lamp repairs hands down. They also have an amazing selection as well. Got an instant quote on a lamp repair that two other shops couldn’t figure out. Now I have a perfectly fixed lamp and a gorgeous chandelier from their selection.

This has been our "go-to" lighting store for years - and he never disappoints. There's a great mix of vintage items inside - last time there was the coolest phone shaped like a piano! The prices are reasonable for the quality of the items and what's great is Ian can rework a piece for you as well. I love lamps with dimmers and he was able to switch out the one we bought - works great. Love, love this place! He's got parking in the back, but you can usually find street parking depending on the hour.

This place is great! I own a vintage lampshade/Victorian stand that broke and they were able to fix it when no one else could. I highly recommend this business!

I needed a very old lamp rewired. I was afraid that most places would think it was simply too old to rewire, but Practical Props respects older lamps and rewired it within a few days. They also carry tons of lampshades and a few beautiful older lamps. It's a very interesting store as well as being professional in the rewiring of older lamps.

This place is great! They listen and they work with you to make it happen. They are very quick. They also have free parking on the premises. Just wish they had been easier to find when looking for service. Hoping this review helps. My antique lamps now look beautiful again and work perfectly.

I absolutely love this store! They have the most beautiful lamps and shades! They specialize in vintage lamps and reproductions. Their prices are very fair, and the owner is really knowledgeable. If you were looking for a vintage lamp or need some cool fixtures, this is definitely the place to go.

I had a lamp that I bought second hand and was looking for a place to get it fixed despite never needing a lamp thing fixed before. It was a cute design, but the light started not working the day before I bought it. The owner was super nice and gave me a fair quote. They also took the time to let me know what needed to be done. I was called in less than 2 days and was charged what I was quoted! So glad that I managed to get a lamp that's still probably less than the retail price even with the cost of repair. They kept it simple and easy to get my lamp fixed. I definitely will come back! Parking is also very easy. There is a small lot with meters right around the corner, making unloading and moving what you need fixed very easy.

My daughter bought a vintage floor lamp with a busted switch and a couple of other problems. The guy at Practical Props put in a new switch, rewired the lamp with a cord that matched the finish, and managed to get the retaining clips for the glass shades freed up, as they'd seemingly fused to the bulb sockets. And, they packed up the shades in a ton of bubble wrap for protection. All of this for an entirely reasonable price, and done in one day. Super happy with this place

This place is magical! If you need a lamp repair or looking for a wonderful light fixture, this is the place to go. They have gorgeous lamps of all kinds. Ian is the coolest and nicest man. He fixed my 2 lamps that I thought couldn't be fixed! Awesome experience!

I like shopping locally, but the last 2 times I stopped in, the man in charge was arrogant and dismissive. Are you trying to drive customers away? I just don't get the attitude. They used to have a wonderful young lady who was such a pleasure to work with. I bought a lovely lamp there and a bunch of supplies, but I will no longer go there!

Lighted Mirror Lamp Repair: I had a lighted mirror that fell, ripping the plug out of the back. The mirror was fine, but the plug was damaged - Practical Props gave me a couple of price options to repair it and did so while I waited. I was very glad to be able to fix it rather than throw it away for a small problem. Very friendly and professional staff, thank you!
