This can be a good store to go to because they have a lot of different brands and a lot of options to choose from. But I have to say I really noticed a difference in the way the employees treat their long-term customers. I'm not sure if it's coming from the top but they are stingy when it comes to anything. First of all their return policy is awful, but besides that, I'm a pro and I've spent thousands of dollars there. The other day I went in to purchase a few products, I had the products in my hand but I stopped to sample some skin care. It was a tester that's available to anyone who shops, and I took out a small container to put a little bit in and the girl was watching me like a hawk and then came up to me and said I could not do that and then grunted and said there's no way I can do that. I asked her how are we supposed to sample the product? She said I could try it on there and I told her I had a full face of makeup there was no way I could try skin care on to see how it would work on my skin underneath my makeup. I think that's absolutely ridiculous that they won't let you have a sample of the skin care. They're so stingy and they've gotten cheaper with how they treat people. Honestly, it's much better to go to Sephora or Naimies. At least they let you have a sample and they're not watching you like you're about to steal the whole store. It's an insult to long-term customers. I find the higher-up management a little nicer. The ones that are behind the scenes.

I feel so bad for all of us who’ve had a bad experience at Nigel’s because it has so many amazing products, but the people who work there are some of the rudest I’ve ever encountered. The security guard is kind, but the ladies working were something else. I kindly asked which aisles I can find products in and they would yell back to me and then laugh about it. Mind you, this is a store I spend $$$ on , both online and in person. Please train your staff better especially the white girl with brown hair who wears a ponytail frequently. I have rude encounters like this only at this location and the sad part is that it’s not the first OR second time. I also get followed around so much and as a POC I feel very shocked that it’s like this. My local Sephora doesn’t even do that because they have good security at the front. (So do you) You’re a small spaced shop, please work on your protocols.

It has been a pleasure to be assited by Elise, she took charge and carefully considered all my concerns bringing me various brands perfectly matching my request. Elise is the To Good To Be True Makeup Artist a real TREASURE.
I've been a fan of Nigel's since the mid 80's as it has been outstanding in serving my "A" List clients on screen and off.

If your Black just be assure you will racial profiled and watched the whole time you are in this store. From the Asian security guard and staff . Which is so uncomfortable. So hurry up and buy.

I was in an urgent need of hair clippers and beard trimmers for an event I had to attend. I knew exactly where to go. I've been coming here for years for most of grooming supplies. A bit pricy but this place has just about everything you may need, for men and women.

Hadn’t been here in a long while and was excited to return. I can’t say I enjoyed my experience. To have a worker at every aisle making me feel as if I’m going to steal something did not rub me the right way. The same cashier Katherine seemed to have an attitude towards me from the beginning.

Do not recommend coming here. I came looking for nail supplies and couldn't find what I was looking for. I asked a worker for help and she was very rude and yelling at my face telling me where to find the stuff. She was a black woman with a blond boy hair cut. Very rude customer service, she should not be working this job if she has a bad attitude.

The ladies here are SO rude…. They follow you like a hawk all throughout the store and there will be 5 people walking on the outside of the aisles just slowly watchinggggg you and clearly assuming you’re trying to steal. Like girl there’s two big security guards in front, idk how in the world these people can even think about the idea about someone trying to steal in this store… considering I have a professional license and have a history of buying products with them in the past. Lately it’s just been such a bad experience shopping here EVERYTIME, I just don’t feel at ease buying from their store when they make it so obvious watching me and following me everywhere especially this one Latina big girl and black bald lady…. So ridiculous.

I am a pro MUA and they carry everything I need in my kit, shipping is prompt, and my items are always packaged with care. If I have questions about products or my online orders Mikah always help me. So yes I recommend Nigel beauty for all your beauty needs.

Love this place been coming since 2005. Love my discounts. However, the vibe has changed a lot. It used to be very friendly and upbeat, but the new store manager seems very conservative not very friendly. I remember when the owners ran this store and it was WAY more fun to come inside. The regular employees are great! I'm a feeler of energy and I can tell that the new management is changing the store. I'll still do 5 stars because the staff can definitely makes up for the older female manager. Manager gets 1 star from me. They also have security now, who are friendly to me but as a person of color I did feel uncomfortable being watched by two guards when clearly they do not follow around customers with lighter skin than I and I'm light olive in color. I do have tattoos that I show on my day off but I've been long time registered customer. That was the first time I've ever been followed that way at Nigel's. Because I was raised to be kind and respectful I know how to handle situations like so, but I should not have to feel that way when spending my money. I feel like I should leave my metal credit card on the counter now when coming in, which is probably what I'll start doing now when coming in.

I shop at Nigel’s regularly as I have a professional account with them. I must say, I usually don’t have a pleasant experience with them. A few of the employees (especially the ones at the register) are rude, short, and aggressive. Today I asked one of the employees, Kat, if the store would happen to have an advance on their Black Friday sale. She very aggressively barked that they would not. She is greatly lacking customer care and service skills - especially to a regular customer with a professional account. As I was browsing through the aisles with only 2 small items in hand, she approaches me from the back with a large basket. I really did not need one. I was disheveled, I put my items in the cart and my phone falls on the ground, not making it into the basket. This causes my phone screen to crack. A complete inconvenience to my day. She did not apologize until I brought it up, and brushed it off - like the aggressor that she is. Shopping here today ruined my day. She does not have the right attitude to be working here. Nigel’s should train their employees on care, grace, and being pleasant to work with.
