CLOSED FOR GOOD!! I got a call notifying me to pick up my child because the school is closing. Social services is closing Kinderchicks because of a lawsuit they lost regarding many health and safety violations. Social services had instructed the director, Mary Karapetian to notify the parents of the school to find alternative childcare before oct 13. Well, she failed to notify anyone and today, she sent us all a message telling us to pick our kids because of "licensing" issues. Like WTF? Who closes a school due to licensing issues?? Mary has lied to us parents before about other issues and now her lies has caught up with her. I hope her license to teach gets revoked. DO NOT TRUST HER!. This is what social services was handing out to parents as they arrived

We searched long and hard to find a school like Kinderchicks. Miss Mary and her staff have been warm, caring, and nurturing since day one. We are greeted with authentic joy each morning and sent home with sincere gratitude every day. Their level of professionalism and attentiveness have given us total confidence in leaving our daughter in their care five days a week for the last 3 years. With any and every idea and concern, Mary has always been receptive and responsive. By 3.5 years old, our daughter was at a 6-year-old's level developmentally thanks to the curriculum implemented at Kinderchicks. She is definitely a product of Kinderchicks' tender loving care and we couldn't be happier.

My daughter just graduated from Kinderchicks in June 2021 after being there for a little over three and a half years. Her development socially and academically during her time at Kinderchicks grew in the most amazing and profound way. She started kindergarten at an LAUSD school this school year and she is more than prepared and excited to learn - which I credit to Ms. Mary and her staff's caring nature and strong academic ethic. My daughter also had so much fun and made great friends. Throughout my daughter's years there and especially pre-pandemic, Kinderchicks had a variety of special activities, a few school trips a year and fun/educational visitors. I know other pre-schools don't go to these lengths for their kids. Ms. Mary made these enriching experiences possible. I can't recommend Kinderchicks highly enough.

I found Kinderchicks through Yelp and referral as I was waitlisted at another preschool at the time. But I am so happy that my daughter ended up going to Kinderchicks. My daughter has been there since she was 18months. They offer flexible schedule, half day or part time, and they helped potty train her as well. The teachers are very nice. I would like to thank - Ms. Rosa, Ms. Anna, Ms. Stephanie, and of course Ms.Mary. Also all other staff at Kinderchicks. This place offers a lot of fun events to keep kids entertained and happy. They also have a great learning curriculum that seems very fun! I really enjoyed the holiday performances by the kids. Thank you so much!!

I found Kinder Chicks on YELP 4 years ago. Sending my 2 year old to Kinder Chicks was one of the best decisions I ever made. I wish I had known about Kinder when my 13 year old was a baby. I have gone on tours to maybe 20 pre-schools all over the valley, WEHO and Beverly Hills and my 2 older kids went to 3 of them. Kinder Chicks is better than all of them and the price is right! Ms. Mary who runs it was once an employee there and she bought the business years ago. She really loves kids, babies and holidays. OMG, they put on amazing performances. Even the 18 month olds learn song and dance and perform at ALL of the holidays. It's not pretentious AT ALL. They dont sell you by telling you your 4 year old is going to learn to garden and become a chef in the kitchen. It's super inclusive, kind, and strict when need be. Santa Clause and the Easter bunny come to visit. But the most important thing they do is prepare your child for Kindergarten. Believe me, my oldest was not. He went to a very expensive pre-school that did not even teach him how to spell his name. Kindergarten was hard for him. Kinder Chicks gets you ready. And they make learning fun.

I visited the preschool today and loved the place. It looks very professional and friendly at the same time. Warm vibes. I signed up my daughter right away, and I'm very looking forward for fun days ahead for her. Definitely a good place for kids-safe.

Okay - so I'm updating my review because things have popped up that I wouldn't even imaging happening till you actually get years down the road - but here I am. I just love how memories always pop up of my girls time at Kinderchicks. It's really incredible to see how much of a good start they had and how much fun they had doing it. I still miss the performances and especially the teachers!!! Kinderchicks was truly like family and we still reminisce fondly of our time there. I feel that they truly care about their kids because they still check in on our girls though we are separated by years and hundreds of miles. We love you Kinderchicks!!!!!

My son has been at kinderchicks for almost 2 years now and WE could not be happier. It's clear the staff has a passion for children and their development. The communication between the teachers and their director has always been on point and my son is soo happy to go to school and see all of his friends and teachers. They have all the necessary safety measures in place at this odd, pandemic time and I could not be more thankful as my career requires me to be in the office. The homework, class work and play time will have him more than prepared to begin his "big kid school" next year should COVID19 allow. They are a part of my son's, and now MY, family and I could not possibly recommend them more.

My daughter loved this place. We had to move to another location, but we miss this preschool. I dont know much about educational theory, but what I can tell is that my daughter is laughing, smile, write, read, happy, and talk about friends in this preschool at home. This is the most important for me. In addition, we took alot of pictures with their event or party, so we could keep memories with pictures and movie clips. Thank you for your hard works for my daughter for an year.

Our baby boy started attending Kinderchicks at 18 months old. He is 3 now and he has grown so much since he started. Mrs. Mary and her staff are incredible, sweet, amazing teachers. He is so happy attending KC, we love to see him excited to go to school. We were so lucky to have find this amazing school. He has learned so much! He continuously amazes us with new words, songs, numbers, colors, etc. They organize so many activities for the kids and you can tell how much the kids enjoy them! Our boy's happy face and excitement when he tells us about his day is priceless. We totally trusted them with the care of our baby and we are going to miss them so much. Thank you Mrs. Mary for everything! We need you to open a school in NJ please!

We were there over 2 years, but suddenly learned of abuse allegations with the DSS and found it all online. We also confirmed details with former parents, teachers, and also current teachers. The owner lied to cover it all up, and still continues to. We had to pull our child and it was devastating for her, but we can no longer trust a school like this. Want to help others avoid it!

I had the great pleasure of working together with Kinderchicks for their Easter celebration. The teachers are all very mindful and caring, and the children were totally engaged the whole time! I loved seeing the bond between teacher and student, this is a great school!

I'd like to add that since leaving the school, my daughter shared with me that the teacher in question spanked kids. She said she was also spanked by her. She also said multiple teachers put blankets over their faces at nap-time (which other children have confirmed). When she was smaller she would cover all her dolls' faces with blankets when putting them to bed and now I understand why. This can be considered abuse as well according to our pediatrician . I think my daughter has started to share more now that she's removed from the situation. She has mentioned it too many times to be made up, and she certainly has never heard us talk about it.

Our daughter has been going to this preschool for over year now and we cannot say good enough things about the school. The teachers are all wonderful, kind ,nurturing ,and loving. I have asked and the teachers have all been there for several years, it is more than a job to them. The kids have a fantastic time but still have focused learning time and social time in addition to hours on the playground , it's been a great experience for my daughter and I recommend the school highly.
