Took my baby lock in because she was jammed and Jennifer and Richard took great care of her. They took the time to explain what was wrong and everything they did to repair her. They were kind, patient, and professional throughout my ordeal! They have my loyalty and business from here on out!!!!

A great place if you're looking for a sewing machine or longarm. The owners are very knowledgeable about their products, they also offer classes in quilting and embroidery.

I was in town for work and dropped off my mother's embroidery machine to get repaired, was very happy they were able to get it done before I left town. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and communication during the repair process was excellent. I ended up picking up some extra supplies for a birthday present(with their guidance) that were a hit, mom is happy to have her machine back and says it is working perfectly!

I took my VERY old Viking in for a cleaning & because the bobbin had gotten stuck and wouldn’t come out. They didn’t even look at my machine aside from a cursory glance. I was told that the cams were cracked and that they weren’t made anymore so the best they could do was a $300 specialty cleaning and it would only stitch in whatever the last stitch was that I had it in. Mind you, they hadn’t even inspected my machine when I was told this.They recommended buying a new machine and were able to show me two models that were affordable, not an up sell, and would sew the way I needed it to sew.The whole not actually looking at my machine before diagnosing it as a lost cause rubbed me wrong so I took my machine for a second opinion elsewhere (turns out the cams were in perfect shape esp given the age of the machine) and the bobbin was stuck for a whole other reason.Long story short, I would never come back for repair, but they seemed knowledgeable about new machines. And I appreciated that they listened to my needs/requirements for a new machine and didn’t try to upswell me to something far more expensive and advanced.

Not the best experience here. I had called to inquire about repairs for a machine/estimate and was told to bring it in, they never specified what if anything they would need so I brought the machine with its outlet plug and a carrying case for it. I was also never told that the deposit they would need is one that they would keep indefinitely, regardless of deciding to use their repair service. I was only told that the deposit would go toward the repair. When I get there, Jennifer raised a big issue about not having the foot peddle. She made it seem like it was a hassle for her, but if it was such a problem, then maybe she should make sure the customers know what to bring so they don't run into any snags. I don't use the peddle for my sewing machine and logically, the important items to bring would be just the power plug. I should've turned and left then, but it's the nearest and out of convenience I left it. My second interaction was over the phone with a guy who was really rude/condescending to my mother when we called to make sure we could pick it up. He told us that we would not be receiving the deposit back (something apparently that was news to him, too) even though we didn't receive any services and were not told that the diagnostic would be a charge. The receipt that was given to me also didn't specify, and there were no signs posted both when I left the machine nor when it was picked up and we did inquire if there was something that said a diagnostic was a separate charge or if it was written somewhere that we would not recieve the deposit back.The woman's response was that I should've asked myself, but that's simply not how you do business. Stores have policies written on receipts in no uncertain terms. I will not be coming back and I hope no one has a repeat situation of what I did.

all about upselling you. . went in once for thread and scott tried to sell me a new machine. (i have four at home, don't need another) took fifteen minutes to get him off my back and get the thread i needed.went a second time looking for information on machines for a naive friend so i could help her buy a machine without getting shafted. I was told bluntly it i wasn't interested in buying then and there, that i could go on the internet to find information on the machines. as they had some traded in/second hand machines, i was asking about them. no dice. if i wasn't buying scott wasn't interested in giving any info on their machines. that was the last time i went and will not go back. maybe if they got rid of him things might be better, but never having got the chance even say hi to any other employee (he bogart's everyone) i don't know if they're that pushy and determined to sell what you don't want or need or if it's just him. WAYYYYY to full of himselfETA. Had to go back for a part for a machine. Found there previous owner retired and sold the store... the new owners are far more laid back, chill, and easy to talk to. I feel comfortable going back now and would recommend it to others.

Jennifer and Jeanette are extremely knowledgeable, friendly and go above and beyond in their interaction to ensure the experience is just right. Each time I've connected with them, it's always been superb. To a point that I will be referring any friends and family to their business. Highly recommend.

The owners Jennifer and Janette are the most amazing ladies to go out of their way with knowledge of machines and products. Very helpful with any project you have. I have been blessed to find this store and will continue to go the distance for their help.

Very friendly staff that had just what I needed. I went to so many different sewing machine stores that were so far from home and didn't have the specific piece I needed. I never knew this store existed so close to home.

Fantastic service, super-knowleadgeable AND friendly, helpful staff. As a sewing teacher, I recommend all my students to buy their machines at SMW. I own a dozen machines for my business, all purchased through them and it was the best business decision I have made. I get those serviced yearly, as well as my own (rather obscene) collection of machines and sergers. Also, their classes and workshops are top notch. Highly recommend!

I brought my sewing machine in and I left the little accessory box on the machine someone went in the box and took out my little screwdriver and used it and forgot to put it back in there I called and she said that they did not go into the box that the guy uses his own tools I keep my accessories in this little tray attached to the machine and my little screwdriver is gone and someone there took it and I live about two hours away from the store so now I'm out of my screwdriver and I'm really really upset about that so make sure you take all of your stuff from your sewing machine because you will not be getting it back I do not recommend the store and the girl there I bought like $60 worth of accessory things from the wall and the girl acted like she couldn't come anywhere near me like I had the plague or some thing she stood about 3 feet away and was pointing to the accessories on the wall. I see other people have left negative reviews. I would have given 5 stars. All she had to do was replace a 7.00 screwdriver. But family business, keep it all in the family. I'm very o up set. She says that he uses his own screwdrivers but I'm sure sitting down figuring my little attachment boxes here my screwdriver must be in their opened it sure enough it was and forgot to put it back in there this is the only place I have all of my accessories and she says my little catch box attached to the machine was taken it was not very mad about this. But if they if they can get away with it they will.I will add to this message daily or every time I think about it I wish I didn't have to give a star at all I wouldn't.
