Centers of Learning is now named "North Valley Christian School". It is a wonderful and caring school. Students get that one-on-one learning with their teachers and the 3rd grade and up enjoy learning Spanish with the Spanish teacher, Mr. Moreno. Every Friday, they have Chapel that is very uplifting and students are engaged with all students and staff. The different grade levels participate and take turns in Chapel. Some students that play instruments can share their joy of music. This school also has a farm with many different farm animals. Excellent school!!!

This is such a great school! Mrs. Court is the best first grade teacher on the whole planet! She is the greatest combination of fun and firm. Mrs. Margo, the kindergarten teacher is also great. She helps kids learn and have fun at the same time. I also love the religious aspect of this school. When you get to 1st grade, you get to go to chapel every day, and learn about the Bible. Enroll your kids here! You WILL NOT regret it.

Centers of Learning is an absolutely fantastic school. My daughter started in their toddler program at 18 months. Her growth, vocabulary and social skills blossomed under their care. All the teachers and staff are so caring and top notch, definitely a rare find for such a moderately priced school!

My youngest son is a Centers of Learning alumni, a software engineer, an Air Force veteran, and a free thinker. Because our family moved around with my job, my son attended both public and private schools. His senior year, he insisted that he live with a family in North Hills so he could graduate from Centers of Learning. Now, some years later, he's paying to send my granddaughter to Centers. I think his actions speak well of the school. I highly recommend this school to parents seeking an alternative to Los Angeles public schools.

I have been at this school from kindergarten-2nd grade and so far it has been a blast! I love centers of learning. I have made a huge amount of friends who support me in school! All of my teachers, they too supported me as well. You can learn so much at this school!

I love being at this school. Every day I feel like I'm going home to my family because that's how this school treats u. They are loving and kind and caring. This school has something that most schools don't have and that is teachers that care about the students education and wants them to succeed in what they are doing.

I enrolled my son when he was just 4 years old after having attended a toddler program at a private school that I felt was more like really expensive daycare with minimal supervision. Realizing kindergarten was also just around the corner, I needed to find a school that was honest in their purpose of caring and teaching children. I met with Mrs. Margo, the kindergarten teacher and the director of their Early Childhood Development Program to tour and talk about the school. This was my first and only child and was worried of all the unknowns but went home that day knowing this was the school. Mrs Margo calmed my anxieties making me feel warm, welcomed and safe. Fast forward 9 years and a little sister, we're still here. We, as a family have gained so much words cannot explain. COL has given us not only a quality Christian education but also accountability. They are nurturing and patient with the children being the center of what they do. My children are now in 8th and 2nd grade, doing well in their subjects and love it here. Being a small school, everyone from administration to the teachers and parents are like extended family, everyone looks out for one another and our kids. Even the older students at the school share with the mentoring of the younger ones by reading and playing with them. I feel fortunate my children are able to attend the same school at the same time considering their grade difference; a unique experience they'll always remember. Thank you COL for everything. We have been truly blessed.

Amazing school! I had two children graduate from COL and they are both happily in college. The teachers are involved with the children and really care about their future. They are a Christian school but accept people from all beliefs. I love the diversity!

Excellent school, from Pre-K to High School. Recently received accreditation so that the students will receive a diploma upon graduation. The school features a lot of individual attention, and small class sizes between 10 and 15 students or so (at most). Discipline is always maintained and the academics are challenging. The costs are very reasonable at around 6K per year at the time of this writing.

My husband and I are both Centers of Learning alumni - class of 1984 & 1985. I am currently the Vice-President of an educational technology consulting company. My husband owns and operates an industrial finishing business with about 20 employees. Our education at COL provided us with a great foundation; not only in basic curriculum and higher order thinking skills, but also the development of character and moral values. Our two children now attend COL and are receiving the same benefit of small class size, solid skill development, small-community atmosphere and caring staff and leadership. I highly recommend Centers of Learning to anyone looking for these qualities in their child's educational experience.

I'm so thankful my parents sent me to this school. I attended from preschool through 12th grade, was accepted to USC directly out of high school, and now work for a production company at Warner Bros. Studios. Centers of Learning fostered a deep love for learning in me. Beyond the academics, I believe this school somehow imparted the qualities its teachers carry: personal integrity, positive work ethic, kindness... I built lifelong relationships at Centers of Learning, and am still very close with many of my classmates and teachers. I highly recommend this school for anyone with kids in the San Fernando Valley who are looking for a solid, college-preparatory education and a great learning environment.

I am a COL alumnus. When I enrolled in the 5th grade, I was two reading levels behind and undisciplined in part due to my really awful 4th grade public school teacher who slept in class and never assigned homework. COL teachers really took the time to help me back to grade-level reading. And in 5th and 6th grade Ms. Innis, who still teaches there, taught me some necessary self-discipline--she gave me plenty of homework. Ms. Innis, I give you my belated thanks, for at the time the growth was painful and thanks a very small thought in my brain. These teachers care, and I give them a lot of credit for helping me overcome "being behind." I now teach Composition and Reading at two community colleges in the LA area. They must have done something right.
