We’re here for a summer wedding and this place is phenomenal. The staff is very kind, it is tastefully decorated, the view must be on anybody’s bucket list. The activities run by the Lodge will make for some lasting memories: an incredible beach party, with kayaks, and an incredible alpine lake scenery. The cherry on top was a cocktail party on top of Mount Disney. Unique, sophisticated, and well run.

Take the Gondola directly to the restaurant. You can not drive directly to the lodge. The free gondola ride was fun!! It's a pretty quick ride down to the lodge. The pink sunset was picturesque. The gondola runs untilMidnight. The restaurant was cozy and rustic. Decorated with great old photos of times past. We walked through a fireplace room and into the dining room. The waitstaff was attentive and kind. The menu, albeit small, had a good selection. We ordered steaks and a mushroom pasta dish. It was really good. Oh and ask for bread. Yum! They have a full bar on the other side which also serves bar food like burgers etc. Looks like a fun place to hang out. The wine list is extensive but quite pricey. It's nice to have a place close by that has good food and a great atmosphere. We will be back.

If you're looking for a quick bite or a meal in between ski runs you might want to consider this place! The atmosphere is loud, since lots of families and large groups tend to dine here, and the restaurant is cafeteria-style. It can also be hard to find a table to eat at because it is so crowded with groups. There are also long lines to get food sometimes, especially during lunch time.Service here is pretty quick and attentive, and has been good over the past couple years! The food here is usually pretty good! I like that the restaurants at Sugarbowl change up their menu items every year. Within the past couple of years, Sugarbowl has been diversifying their menu items. This year, Judah Lodge had poke bowls, pho, and kimchi fries. This time I got the Lomi Lomi poke, which was not bad for the Tahoe area! It was a little pricey though, as one poke bowl is $19.

The rooms have a great few, are older but well maintained. The people here have been amazing- each and every one of them. Thanks to David on the hill, Jordan in rentals and everyone else who was so kind. I know this sounds like a paid advert, but it's not. In a world with too much complaining I want to recognize those people who go above and beyond to be friendly.Rooms: Older and lived in, but clean and comfortable.Food & drinks: Small selection, but solid. A bit high on the NaCl, but every once in a while...

A beautiful lodge with all the amenities that an old school European lodge should have. Perfectly placed right at the bottom of the lifts. The dining experience was delightful. Chef Abel is top notch. The skiing was world class and the employees were extremely helpful

Sweet old school lodge accessed by a gondola. Take your time and enjoy the views. It's free to ride the gondola if you just want to sit slopeside on the deck and enjoy the sunshine.

Great weekend getaway on the slopes, and super convenient hotel at the base of the Disney Chair. A little tricky since you have to take the gondola to get to the hotel, so that means planning/packing well since you can't really just run to the car - but the gondola does run 24/7, in case you forgot something. Plus they have bell hop service that helps you load your stuff, if you need the help. The staff at the hotel is super nice and accommodating, we ate at the lobby bar/restaurant, brought food for my picky kids and they were very nice letting us eat there.Hotel is older but very quaint, small rooms, but just enough space for getting rest before your day of skiing. The best part is the Sporthaus club, that has an awesome gym, 2 hot tubs & pool. The only downside is that you have to walk outside to get there, as it's not connected to the hotel, and we were surprised by that ( had to walk in the snow in our swimsuits/shorts). But the new gym, with super nice showers, made it worth the trek, as the locker room is nicer than the showers in the hotel room. We also liked the locker room downstairs for storing your ski stuff, so you don't have to lug it to your room at night. Our room on the north side didn't have a view, since the windows were all covered in snow! But I imagine the Mountain side is much prettier. My kids had a great time, and can't wait to go back again soon! The boardgames were also a hit with them, while hanging out in the lobby (since the WIFI didn't work in the rooms, only in the lobby).

Sugar Bowl is the ski area version of the happiest place on Earth. It may no longer be owned by Disney, but they have never forgotten their roots and really go the extra mile to make every experience joyful
