Bombay Market, now reopened as the Chow Market, is a small local store in Bombay Beach that offers a variety of products for the community. The friendly staff, including a woman with over 40 years of experience helping at the local church, create a welcoming atmosphere. The market has a good selection of dry and canned goods, including rare canned foods from the South such as Glory Southern Style Spinach and Southgate Beef Hash. Customers can find canned goods, beer, wine, and locally made art, with some fresh fruits and vegetables also available. The store features a mix of practical items like cleaning supplies, small hardware, and odds & ends, along with eclectic objets d’art that evoke a South Pacific or Caribbean vibe. Although there is no gas, the market serves as a convenient spot to support the local economy when passing through. It is one of the few places to get food in town, alongside the iconic Ski Inn restaurant.
It’s actually been reopened as the Chow Market. A great little local market with a nice selection of things you may need. They actually had some fresh fruits and vegetables as well which was a pleasant surprise! Definitely stop here and support the local economy when passing through.

This place is great. I ordered some burgers and fries for people last night and a veggie burger for myself and it was all delicious. So nice to be able to get some tasty takeout in this town and these times. Cheap, too! Cheers.
