BEWARE! This is the review I wish I had seen before booking!
This place is essentially a bait and switch scam. You see beautifully renovated photos online, but that’s only a small portion of their rooms. According to their front desk manager, they are “in the middle of a 20-year renovation”!
They will tell you none of the rooms you actually booked are available, give you a run down, worn out, smelly room and charge you a 50% cancellation fee when you object!
There are so many beautiful properties in the area, stay away!

Our villa was infested with cockroaches. I informed the front desk about an hour after it crawled out of the bathroom and she wasn’t even phased, suggesting to me this isn’t the first time this has happened and they know they have an active infestation. Would recommend other properties that don’t need extermination. Grounds are well kept and pool is lovely, but the memory of the stay was significantly affected by the cockroach infestation. This was during the day, so I shudder to think how many cockroaches were near my children overnight.

This is an amazing place to stay. The grounds and villas are beautiful and very comfortable. The staff really makes the stay outstanding. We were there for an extended time this summer and the staff consistently went above and beyond.
There are daily activities for the children, adults, and families.The Cove, the children's center, was manned by some outstanding people. Special thanks to Monica, Mia, Tony, Haley, Leo, Demi, Sarah, Mendy -- all of them were so sweet with the children!
The operations/front desk was expertly run - Robin Eddie Marilou, Jillian, Ashley, Edgar, Yusuf, Cristina. . .
Maintenance/Housekeepers - Sergio, Louisa, went out of their way daily.
Thank you to everyone - we apologize to anyone we didn't mention.
Thanks to the leadership for great hiring and training. Andrew was present and very helpful - thank you!!

We visited family vacationing here this week & we're very impressed by the villas, pool etc
They really enjoyed their stay! I'm sure they will come back.
Nearby activities: The nearby beach at Crystal Cove was lovely. The Shake Shack above it was great for kids & all.

Great Location and Nice Guests, bit pricy but worth to stay once a while. My biggest complain is the Security there, I don't think its Marriot staff maybe outsourced. While playing with the kids, some security guard full of tattoos was giving us extreme hard times and raising the voice on us and the kids, even we immediately followed his instructions ! He was on some kind of power trip and did not want to let go.. saying to us he is calling for backup :( I don't know what he was thinking and why he belongs to such a luxury and peaceful place ! We spoke later with the chief of security but it was only a waste of time. The only person that apologize was Asian Lady that was working also at the pool, she apologized that the guy should never raise his voice on kids and customers. Such an expensive resort should have trained Marriott Employees handling Loss Prevention not some bullies !

The people in the kitchen are vulgar and disgusting. My family and I come to this location maybe twice a year for a few weeks and enjoyed our time in the Villas. It was our first time in the big pool where they have taco Tuesday, the girl with the half colored hair with glasses (kimmie? from what the boy Jonathan named her at the window) was being rude when handing our food. She smelled like alcohol, yelling across the kitchen. Saying ‘Me Vale’ like I did not know Spanish. I spoke to the manager Veronica and she just smiled at me and laughed. I will not allow these ignorant women ruined my vacation. This is uncalled for and I hope this is resolved.
I will NOT be coming back to that pool. I felt very disrespected. NOT GOING TO EAT THERE.

Called ahead to let the hotel know we were arriving late (and also late at night), the person at the front desk brushed me off and said it was no problem, didn’t take the time to talk to me. Fast forward, flight arrived late - I’ve been waiting at the front desk with my kids asleep in the car for 30 minutes while they try to find a room. Unacceptable.
