“Called to ask about Tantalum and Tungsten wedding bands. They don't carry them, but Mark spent several minutes answering questions about both metals and provided recommendations on where to find the best deals and recommended another local jeweler that would have bands I could see in person. If that's how they treat someone they already know will not be making a purchase with them, I'm sure their service is impeccable for an actual client.

TLDR: Went back to them for the band after deciding on platinum. Continue to be impressed by their professionalism and Mark's dedication to his work.
We ended up going back to Mark to get the wedding band after doing some additional research and deciding platinum was the way to go. We had no idea what we wanted, so Mark spent time researching and ordering sample pieces to give us an idea of the look and feel of different finishes, widths, and metals, and talked us through all of the different options. The final piece is beautiful and exactly what we wanted. We were also impressed by the speed of completion - for a custom piece, it was just over a week. The final piece appraised for much more than we paid and while it's understated (which is what we wanted) it is also very unique and impressive upon close inspection.
Can't say enough good things about Mark and Joseph Nelson Jewelry. This is the first and (probably) last place you should go for anything - Mark will make sure you get what you want and understand what goes into the piece and each of its elements so you can truly appreciate it.”

“Our mother passed away earlier this year, and so my sister and I have the unfortunate job of disposing of her possessions, which included some expensive jewelry, sterling silver utensils and serving ware, some old coins, etc. None of us wanted most of these things and so we spoke with jewelry stores, estate sale people, etc. to get estimates of value and what the items could sell for. The folks at The Gold Mine were not even comparable to anyone else we talked to. They are extremely knowledgeable and have experts on staff in things like coins, currency and gems. They were all kind, professional and best of all, the prices they paid blew everyone else away. I feel that they were the only place which made us a fair offer for our mom's valuables. (Other places clearly had far less knowledge and experience.) I came away with 5e belief that these folks are honest and fair. Of course, if you have the time to try to find individual buyers for your items, you might get a little more money - when buying things, they have to be able to make a profit when they resell them - but the folks at The Gold Mine made it so easy. I would absolutely do business with them again. And if you're buying, they have a great selection of valuable collectibles, including jewelry, rare coins and notes, etc. They are generous with their time and knowledge and there was absolutely no pressure, unlike several other stores we visited. There is a reason these folks have been in business for nearly 50 years.”

“I recently had the pleasure of entrusting my vintage Art Deco era engagement ring, featuring a stunning over 100-year-old old 3.18ct mine cut diamond, to George Necula - Jewelery Design and Repair. Unfortunately, the jeweler my fiancée and I purchased the ring from made unauthorized changes to the prongs and basket during sizing. They cut down everything and made them thinner, and said they did this for "aesthetic reasons." The new prongs were thin, not touching the diamond securely, and just overall done poorly. George went above and beyond to restore its design and structural integrity so I didn't have to worry about losing the stone. I included some before pictures below. I was anxious about preserving the ring's unique charm. George's craftsmanship is nothing short of exceptional. The "after" pictures show meticulous care and precision in his work.
