We had the best experience ever yesterday at Nordstrom. The associate that helped us in men's shoes was terrific. I believe his name was Michael. We bought a pair of On brand shoes about 6 weeks ago and one se got a hole in the mesh of the toe. We love the shoes and have several pairs from the brand and from Nordstrom. However, this particular shoe must've had a sewing issue or something because it was obvious the shoes still looked new. Michael didn't hassle us as all. He exchanged the shoes on the spot without a box. He looked up the receipt in the computer and we left with the new shoes. And we are still in shock at the amazing service we received from him and from Nordstrom. It is truly appreciated and we will definitely be loyal customers in the future. Thank you for such a pleasant experience.

This is my favorite Nordstrom because BELLA in men's shoes is always knowledgeable about trends and comfort, plus correct fit. I'm always in a hurry, so getting in and out of the shoe department is very helpful. BELLA (the girl with the tattoos) is the best!

We had a great shopping experience with Deborah from the Baby Department from start to when we checked out. She was knowledgeable about every detail of the car seats and strollers. She gave suggestions for a first time mother and her recommendation as a grandma. We ended up going with a NUNA car seat which she was able to send it to our address!

Honestly didn't think we could have such a bad experience after having great service from Deborah in the baby department but the entire men's shoe department needs to be retrained in customer service and hospitality to customers. My pregnant wife needed to take a seat while her mom was doing more shopping after purchasing a car seat for us, when we were given jarring glances with not one employee saying "Hello." Or even "Let me know if you need anything."They just kept staring at us to the point where we felt uncomfortable and we moved seats. My father in law with me is a former Nordstrom employee and he was appalled by the lack of attention to customer service and satisfaction that was once part of the standards of operations. Seems like the staff was too busy talking to someone about the movie someone just saw instead of making people feel welcome. A retraining or rehiring of the entire men's shoe department, especially the guy in the shirt that had lemons on it, would probably be best for sales if you want people to come back anytime soon.

Just left a review last week about a pick up order that went wrong and I just Had another order that was not only floating in their system that they couldn't find , but a canceled order that they then told me would go back to a non existent gift card. I have now spent over an hour on calls today with Nordstrom trying to get refunded correctly for their mistake. This Nordstrom has the guest service equivalency to a Walmart. It's a joke

I had no idea you could order things from Nordstrom and the shipping's FREE. I saw online a Creuset grill for 40% off on their website so I walked in hoping to buy it from them. They didn't have it in stock at the store but offered to order it and ship it to my house. I got it within a week. I think this is how I'm shopping at Nordstrom from now on.

This is a beautiful Nordstrom and there are 3 floors of fabulous shopping!! I love their shoes and tried on a few pairs but didn't find any that were particularly outstanding today. They have a freestanding Sugarfina with the cutest champagne gummies that are not THC or CBD, just pure sugar.

Definitely not the standard I expect from a Nordstrom. I felt like I was bothering the associate that finally came by to help me, even though I knew exactly what I wanted and she didn't have to do much. She got my item, didn't let me hold it or sample it (it was a Tom Ford fragrance I was going to gift) and walked me so far from all the registers near by. She gave it to another girl and told her to ring me up.The 2nd girl seemed very annoyed as well. I usually get offered free gift wrapping, especially when I say it's a gift, but tough luck here :/Definitely never coming back. 2 stars instead of 1 because the item I wanted to gift was in stock.

Over the years, Newport Beach's Nordstrom has seemed up, down, and all around to me...but still a good place to go. I've experienced great, sweet, apathetic, and mean service here. When I complained to management years ago about a particularly bad experience with a salesperson, the representative listened to me. She was empathic, a good listener, and reassuring. She admitted that the salesperson was sarcastic and told me she would be retrained. In addition to committing to resolving the issue for future customers, she thanked me profusely. My call with her convinced me management cares about their customers.Other good sides of this Nordstrom are the beauty department. I've had very good experiences purchasing here. Perhaps they weren't apathetic because they had that salesperson sixth sense of knowing I wanted to buy, and might not be a "looky-loo". For the salesperson in apparel who seemed ho-hum about ringing me up; well, it could have been for a thousand reasons. I've seen on the news stories about labor shortages, and if they are short staffed here, the lack of enthusiasm makes sense. In any case, the transaction was quick and efficient, leaving me with more time at Fashion Island. I think for the times we are in, the store is doing a good job.
