“To be clear for future readers, this is just a drop off center, not a store. But it is extremely convenient for me as there aren’t a lot of locations near here to donate and the staff is always hassle free”

“We are second hand shoppers to keep the world sustainable but the most important part of this discovery shop is that the money goes to the cancer society. We bring our high- end clothes and top-of-the line sports brands and brand new shoes that don’t fit.The volunteers do a wonderful job of showing you around. It’s a great place to shop with friends and family and help make this a better world”

“Parking - very confusing at first because you park behind the building and need to find the correct turns. Next time will be a breeze. Lot clean and well marked. Staff - very helpful, nice, and patient. Selection - good variety but not a lot of merchandise when I was there. Prices - fair, but the boutique side could be pricy. Store - very clean. I would go back or recommend for someone to take a chance to find a treasure.”

“What a phenomenal store! I love coming here for all their discounts, wonderful customer service and hard working employees. I would give more stars if I could!!!”

“Nice, clean store. Well organized. Good prices & quality offerings. Unfortunately, they're only open 3 days/week (I thought it was only 2), but I guess the workers are volunteers, so maybe that's why??? Worth the trip if you can do a mid week visit, otherwise, too bad...”

“We stopped by The Find a couple of weeks ago. We were looking for a specific piece of furniture. While they did have what we were looking for, the piece was too large for our home. Ended up buying several pieces of home décor. They have a variety of styles, and a fantastic selection of décor items!”

“This thrift was very cute! There was a really cool theme going with all the furniture and clothes that was very pleasant. Prices were very reasonable, and the staff was very nice. It was a bit hot inside, and a little cramped, but it was definitely still very pleasant”

“I've found some cool items and clothes here. The ladies and young kids who work here are volunteers so give them a break. I'm here once a week and see lots of people of color and they are treated respectfully and courteously.”

“This is where I go to do all my used clothing donations these days. I appreciate that the Assistance League's mission is to ensure that people in the local community are taken care of. They are also nonprofit, nonpolitical, and nonsectarian which is great. When I give to charity, I'm just looking for a place that is just trying to help people in need. Not help them with a side of preaching, or only help those who are a particular denomination, or help people but also accept large sponsorships from shadowy conspiracy newspapers. A quick look at the Assistance League over at Charity Navigator shows that none of the 5 key positions draw a salary. Which is super good to see. I'm also not trying to donate to someone's 6-figure salary. There's a convenient donation bin outside is open from 10-2 on most days, which is important to know because, if you show up, and it's not a day where they're accepting donations, you're just gonna have to take that stuff back. They chain off the parking lot. Don't know about the shopping or buying experience much, as I've only poked my head in a couple times to look around, but the place does seem to be packed full of bargain hunters and people who could use some cheap threads. Happy to help make a difference in my local community.”

“It’s a thrift store. Not especially clean or well lit. Employees not entirely thrilled to be at work, but certainly not rude. Best damn prices of ANY of thrift stores around!”

“Great place for all your home remodels! Got our living room items and the guys on the floor were super helpful with measurements and all questions we had! Such Awesome staff, so friendly and helpful!”

“Awesome store, this is where Goodwill sends 99% of the computers that are donated! Prices aren't super competitive, close to eBay pricing, but at least you can physically inspect your computer, and they offer support services for up to a year! The best part is they had some low-end graphics card for sale standalone, which were actually a solid step below ebay pricing. Highly recommend for anyone in need of a low-end gaming PC!”

“I go to this Assistance League for women’s clothing, decor (see photo), and pots for my plants. They also have jewelry, shoes, purses, kids clothing, toys, dinnerware.4/5 stars because the store is small-ish and prices are sometimes $10+ which is a hint expensive for certain secondhand items. But I’ve also seen Anthropologie and originally expensive clothing for like $6 - $12, which I love.”

“Very easy to make donations. Staff is friendly. The store is remarkably well organized when I walked in and I was immediately greeted. The sections were clean. Everything was beautiful on display. When we went to make a donation outback, the staff member was very helpful. Had everything set up I made sure that we didn’t stress our backs or anything”

“The people who work there were GREAT. I was just shopping around getting some bread at the farmers market.I stopped by the thrift store and there was a kind old lady that works there offered me some free bread that was “freshly baked” she said that she saw me riding my electric scooter and gave me a reusable bag to go with it! What an awesome store the prices are more cheap than most thrift stores and this is the one I like the most. I live across the street and this store is a super relevant place to go thrifting. I would give it a 10\5 if I could.”

“Had a lot of feminine dresses. Got a billabong dress that I really liked. $8.99/dress. There were two dressing rooms open out of like 5 and the rest of them were closed.”

“I feel horrible for not remembering his name. Josh, James. Whoever was working the register at 3:29pm on 3/14/24 He was absolutely fabulous. I'd come back just for him. Top notch customer service.”

“Everything here is always so well organized and it’s fun to pop in to see what they have new. I usually find something I need. Thank you to the volunteers who are all very wonderful.”

“The Veteran Program is amazing, and the staff has a lot of knowledge. Lisa Costa is one of the best advocates in Orange County in the mental health field. She is also an Army Veteran. Having linkage to showers, laundry, food and mental health services is vital to help transition if we're struggling.”

“Fred and Adrien(female) SO helpful and friendly checking us out. Amazing selection and mostly good prices, great sales better than my home town San Diego's Goodwills”

“This promises to be a more boutique feeling Goodwill, and delivers. It's laid out nicely, nicely appointed. Feels more like a retail clothing store and not a thrift store. The selections looked like they had pulled some nicer items from their donations and brought them to this location. We found a couple of cute dresses. There were a lot of SHEIN clothes, which didn't seem very boutique like or fancier than a normal Goodwill. Maybe that's a lot of their donations right now? I would visit again.”

“The OC Thriftstore! The Hanger Outlet in Westside Costa Mesa! Great finds for men and women in fashion clothing, accessories, handbags, shoes… constantly changing stock and daily sales. Ask for the Saturday Spectacular that’s 50% one time each month. Everyone can afford to shop.”

“Coming here was never really that good of an experience. Security was needlessly suspicious of me every single time I went to park my bike and go inside to see Deaf Employment Services. One time they even lied about which building my helper worked in and I went to the wrong building looking for him.

Then my helper moved far enough away that he doesn’t work here anymore and his supervisor tried to do what he was doing with me. She was never a good fit for me at all. So I ultimately asked DoR to place me with another job agency. I hope Deaf Services improve here but until they do I’m not coming back.”

“Tons of items to go through. It was over packed. You can see it in the pictures. I found one pair of pants. Thought for sure I was going to leave with a bag of clothes. And I looked even tho the hangers are going wild. I don't know if I'll be back.”

“The staff here has so far always properly helped me pack my trinkets. Most are fragile, and they will wrap in newspaper and place them in a box. Not the case in other locations they have.”

“Wonderful thrift store! Small but so so mighty. My friend and I spent 2 hours here going through all the clothes and finding the most spectacular stuff! I came by myself yesterday to look for thrifted gifts for Christmas and found so many beautiful pieces! I also had the most wonderful conversation with the employee named Nora! She was so kind and chatted with me about my upcoming wedding and offered to get the name of the tailor her daughter used! She made my day!”

“Good place to bring your donations. Their location isn’t the best because it’s a small driveway on busy part of harbor blvd. So you may wait awhile to enter / exit.”
