Great linen shirts. Beautiful dresses. I wish they had a website and online shopping!

While in the store i was being followed and watched by employees. Out of everyone in the store I was the only one being watched and followed. It seemed racially motivated because I was the only Person Of Color inside the store

Love this store! We had the best service today, the two ladies working were just the right amount of attentive and friendly. They were fun to shop with. I have to say that we get great service constantly here. Thank you sunny days for keeping the Magic of balboa island alive

Honestly one of the best shopping experiences of my life! The ladies are so kind and helpful. The vibes were amazing! I felt so welcomed and supported. The space is so cute! The curation of items was adorable. BEST collection of hats. I can't wait to come back and get more!

My husband and I went shopping on Balboa island, yesterday. We entered Sunny Days clothing boutique. It was super cute and I immediately found an item that I wanted to purchase. There were two 60ish Caucasian women working, they did not speak to us! We were not dressed shabbily, or even overly relaxed. NEITHER of them spoke to us. Did I mention my husband is Hispanic and I am Caucasian? There were no other clients in the store. I walked around with a shirt in hand, for over 5 minutes! While I was looking, two middle aged Caucasian women walked entered the store and they hovered over them. Sadly, I put the shirt back on the rack and happily went to Crush boutique, where the sales lady was lovely and helpful, and we purchased a half a dozen items! Then off to, two other boutiques! It is sad, that people are still judged by the color of their skin, rather than welcoming all paying clients into their establishment!

Today I was browsing in the store location in La Jolla . I was visiting my mom who lives a few blocks away , and this is where I grew up. I entered the store and the sales person didn’t look up from the counter but gave me a “welcome” . Not engaging . I was the only person in the store. As I browsed , she made no effort to interact with me . I liked the look of the store and was considering buying a purse. I tried to engage with her , asking if this store was a chain or boutique . She responded it was a chain and then returned to the counter to look at her phone. I continued to browse ( she totally ignored me ) Two other customers entered the store - she greeted them in the same manner , but then I heard the customer ask the same question - is this a chain store? And her reaction was completely different . I wondered why she was so engaging and nice to them, and basically rude to me. Well , when I looked at them it was obvious they were super stylish and appeared to have money. I was in more casual walking attire , and recovering from hip surgery so trying to walk around in heels and even wearing jeans was not comfortable . I’m not wealthy , but I was looking for a purse, and I liked a lot of clothing that I would have been willing to spend money on. Another more casually dressed, over weight woman came in and was also ignored and seemed to feel uncomfortable , and left. I have been in high end retail for over 30 years , and learned to always treat customers. equally- you don’t know if your customer is a millionaire , a lookie Lou or a poorer person looking for a splurge . Even if you think a person is not going to buy , you are there to engage, and at least be polite. I left ( still ignored ) was not given a thank you or have a good day. And the irony was the giant sign posted on the door looking for employees . Customer service , engagement , etc at the top of what was to be expected for the job. The employee at this location did none of this. The store was well merchandised and I liked the inventory, yes many items were not in my price range , but I did not deserve to be treated as a non- customer based on my looks or attire, so now your company has lost a potential new customer. I was in the store Friday , Jan 28th around 11:30 am. My sister arrived later that day and I told her of my experience , and she said. -Well, I won’t be shopping there. And she could have purchased whatever she wanted - so your company missed out - Don’t judge a book by the cover . Hopefully the new hires won’t be rude and snobby as your current employee.

Extremely disappointed! Bought over $200 worth of clothing for a Christmas present on 12/20. When we attempted to return the items on 1/24, they said it was 4 days beyond their return policy and wouldn't even allow store credit. So silly because we probably would have bought even more clothing beyond the store credit. Always loved their clothes and have modeled for them in a large fund-raising fashion show. My Assistance League colleagues have previously worked at Sunny Days and I have purchased clothing there and held the boutique in high regard. However, this experience has really soured me and I will never go in there again. Rest assured, I will pass this message along to my ALCV members.
