I was racially profiled in your store and I was really taken aback to the point that I asked the security guy to take a picture of me paying for my things that I was buying to let him know that I was paying for the items that I had! When I was asked if I had ever shopped with Bloomingdales/ I said yes the young lady at the counter asked for my phone number. So, I gave it to her she said oh, You're not in our system would you like a Loyalty card? I said sure. the man came even closer toward me for some reason. I am A Black man and when the Security said he was in lost prevention his odious look was very disrespectful which was why I asked him to take the Picture of me paying for the things on the counter. I felt Embarrassed and Profiled

I loved everything about this store! The beauty of the store’s layout and displays, the warmth and friendliness of sales people as well as great customer service. I worked here for about four months when my husband and I were in transition with jobs back in early 1998. I loved working here and wish I could do it all over again.

Space NK has a variety of brands and products which makes it easy to find what you need. The staff is helpful and polite. There are occasional events, like facials, and hair styling that are fun as well.

Goodbye Kiehl's. Just like everyone else, I defaulted to Kiehl's when I decided to start proactively taking care of my skin and for a while,​​ they worked for me. The products largely worked as promised, the system was easy to navigate, and they were (generally) generous with samples so I was able to compare products. After some time, ​however, the customer service became too much to bear​. I stopped going to the brick and mortars and their online experience was actually worse (lost shipments, missing items, slow shipping times). Then I found out they are part of L'Oreal thanks to Yelper Tracey A. up in Marin County and that was it... I was done. After several people suggested that I walk away from NYC's bloated brand of Kiehl's and try Los Angeles based Marin + Goetz I found myself​ at Space NK in the Bloomingdale's at Newport Beach's Fascist​ Island and I will say that it was a refreshing change. The service is exceptional and they have forgotten more about skincare than I will ever know. The transaction was seamless and there was no being talked down to or lost packages to be troubled with. All of the brands available are best in class and they are almost sample​ "happy". As I left I wondered what took me so long to quit Kiehl's. There is no question that Marin + Goetz is a superior product to what I was using and the headaches of Kiehl's is now out of my life. I highly suggest Space NK to​ anyone looking for an apothecary without the hassle and pain of the "big name" brands.
