I have been a customer of Shinobi for quite sometime now. I am surprised to see a few negative reviews. That being said, everyone is of course entitled to their own opinions and assessment of what they deem to be a good experience.Its been a while and I cannot remember when my relationship as a customer begin. I do recall that my very first visit was one that just had me looking at all of the "high end" brands and was impressed that a store had a well balanced inventory of brands from affordable to the higher end.I recall asking questions, and trying on different pieces of clothing. The whole time I was met with patience and great customer service. Fast forward to today, and that same service has extended itself from one purchase to another, special orders as well.Ownership as I know it with Asher and Aaron, has been great. They strive to keep a great store with competitive brands and a consistent flow of new inventory. The store exudes class and I have been in many times to observe how customers are greeted and treated, and some of these reviews just do not make sense.I also, acknowledge that their return policy has its limitations. However, I also believe that, if one as a customer can understand that Shinobi is not a big brand retailer such as Nordstrom, then we can begin to understand that they may not have that flexibility to extend their policy's accordingly.I hope that this review can shed some of but the great service and experience this store offers. Josiah, and Monty as well as other employees have always treated me with respect. I hope that anyone reading drops in and takes a look at a great store that Asher and Aaron have going.

I had great experience in this location couple years ago. Visit store yesterday and was very disappointed. With ownership changes there is no customer service anymore. Owner was rude over small issues VERY DISAPPOINTED.The owner respond not appropriate . The story in owner response not true. I’m military family .Instead of fixing problem the owner bullied customerVERY DISAPPOINTED AGAIN!

Attentive service but very disappointed in the response to my inquiry about the return policy. I was told “14 days”, but the salesman neglected to specify that there was only an exchange policy, there are no refunds and sales are final. I only discovered that at home when I looked at the receipt. The merchandise here is expensive and premium brands, so the lack of a return policy is a deal breaker, and means I will not ever return here. Buyer beware.

If I could I'd give no stars!!!! I bought a gift for my son which I decided to return so he could pick out something for himself and was told I could not get a refund but store credit in the form of a gift card which was linked to my email address that he could use to purchase an item he preferred. When I took my son in to do so I was told there wasn't any link to my email account at which point the salesperson called the manager to handle the situation. The manager was the rudest most unprofessional person I have ever dealt with who treated me as if I were trying to con him out of the merchandise in question. I provided him with all the details of the return including the sales person who excused himself to call the manager to be sure he was doing the return correctly and the receipt even though I was told I didn't need it but despite which he repeatedly asked me if I'd returned the item in question and told me my email was not listed in the system implying I was lying. I refused to be bullied by him and stood my ground and he grudgingly gave me the item I was attempting to purchase after telling me repeatedly what a big favor he was doing me by doing so but refusing to honor the additional $97 owed. He was a total a** and did his best to make me feel like a common criminal and basically he stole the near $100 from me. He should not be in any customer service position let alone a store manager. He was the most obnoxious pompous a** I have ever dealt with and I hope that store closes as a result of his terrible management I certainly will never set foot in it again.

Unfortunately we had a very bad customer service experience here. After spending a lot of money here and being a repeat customer, I never heard back from the manager about an issue I had. I called and emailed. They refused to accommodate a return on a birthday gift for store credit to get something else, I didn't request a cash refund. We really wanted to like this store and become loyal customers but unfortunately they don't seem to care about building customer relationships and taking care of repeat clients.

This is the kind of customer service I wish was still present in the world today!! I was looking for a specific shoe and this was the only store in the US to carry them. Cedric Evans provided white glove treatment upon me calling all the way from Alabama to provide the shoes I was after when they received them. He promised he would contact me when they arrived and he did just that. He was on top of communication and service. 11/10 service. Thank you, Cedric!

This is a pretty cool spot. Before coming in today, I had no idea of its existence. Josiah went above and beyond to help me and gave me an excellent shopping experience. He really knows a lot about the store and the products they carry. Highly recommended.

I walked in the store several weeks ago for the first time and was absolutely impressed by the selection of men’s clothing, the unique design and service I received. Been back several times and really enjoy the vibe and feel there. Nice job!

Mixed feelings here. Josiah provided the best customer service I've experienced in a long time. He went above and beyond in his in-store service and delivery. The Shinobi store is well-designed with a good selection of men's apparel.Now for the 2 star deduction... I ordered a pair of Koio sneakers from Shinobi which were not in stock. They took 9 days to deliver. Unfortunately, the shoes didn't fit so I went in for an exchange or store credit, but because it was past their 14 day return policy, they weren't willing to help me. I didn't feel a 14 day return policy (5 day policy if deducting the delivery time) was a fair policy, especially given the shoe manufacturer return policy was 30 days. I contacted the manufacturer but they couldn't help because I didn't purchase through them.I understand Shinobi had a written return policy on the receipt but you would think an effort should be made to help a customer who only wanted to help this small business. I had to call them or go in the store 3 times because they never called me back whenever I reached out. Koio's website was offering faster shipping and $25 off the same pair of sneakers but Josiah's service made me want to buy from Shinobi.In the end (after 3 weeks of me following up) they offered an exchange for the same sneakers but in a color that they probably weren't able to sell. Not sure why they couldn't just restock my unworn white sneakers (which I had to end up selling for a discount on Poshmark) and give me store credit, which I suggested. They said because it was past their return policy.
