Went in a bought some jerky. The jerky was horrible not dried oily and a few big chunks that didn’t even dry up 70 percent of it was good but 30 was oily and weird. I return to the place 5 minutes later with the bag still full. I showed the clerk and she called the manager. Seems like the manager told her and this is from whoever was on the phone saying the jerky is just with a different meat and prepared diff. Plus whatever leaves the store they cannot refund or exchange. Also they can’t get credit back from that Jerky company so she can’t help me exchange. I figure a store should hold some kinda exchange for product they sell. The clerk was just doing what the manager told her but dang 6 bucks of jerky can’t even be handled?

Don’t go to this gas station, there is a woman standing there with glasses who doesn’t understand anything, ignores, this has already been repeated 3 times, one of the worst gas stations.

Guy working was defiantly a racist. You see a guy who looks half Mexican in Newport, who uses a cup to take sips of the coffee flavors before buying. Oh no, he's stealing sips of coffee. One of the coffees had sugar coming out of the machine (literal chunks). I changed my mind and decided to get a water instead. The guy working there (with curly hair) is standing behind me and says "are you gonna pay for that?" I then say, "your coffee is too sweet and one of them is broken. I don't want to buy that." The guy insists on continuing to be a smart a** about it and doesn't even apologize for the coffee not tasting good/ or the machine acting up. After I storm off pissed, he says smart comment like "have a good day" while giving a smirk. Not coming back here.

The gas price is not accurate. It is not $5.89. It is $6.09. Drove over here to get a cheaper price and its more expensive then every one else. Super frustrating. Manager just said he cant control the google advertising and said I could sign up for their rewards program - so there is that - ?

Man this place is home to one of the coolest people i have ever met! This guy is so awesome, he helped me when i was in a bind without any hesitation. He was so down to earth and genuine with me despite him being a 69yr old white man, and myself being a 35yr old black man in New Port Beach during the wee hours of the morning. I love to ecounter people with his outlook and approach to life and the circumstances of it. The man that i am referring to is no other than the ever so helpful Kenny!! I recommend this gas station to everyone who wants to receive quality service and be treated with dignity and respect. Thanks so much Ken!! Keep on being you bud .

I have such good feelings about this Shell. I was on my bicycle and stopped in for water. It was a 85-90 Degree cycling day. I came off of the Back Bay Loop. They had a sign pole outside to lock up my bike (not a bike rack) and did not have much of a water selection--it's a small convenience store. But I got the last Fiji Water. But the clerk here last Sunday afternoon was as nice and friendly as you get at a gas station (really nicer than most businesses)--Why can't they all be like that?! (I can tell you why but it won't be politically correct.) Maybe he was Mr. Shell the owner and happy with his gas profits. Super nice talkative guy! Bathroom required a key on the wall and was good for a Number 1, but I would not do a 2 here unless an emergency. They have 2 pumps--a whole Island that are getting ready for Hydrogen. Just gave me a good feeling to be here. I will stop in again. Hope that same guy is there.

People in the store not wearing a mask, when the employee was asked if masks were required he said we could not complete our purchase and asked to leave the store. Roger the employee than made a racially charged comment about how people around here speak English .

Really poorly maintained. Several pumps out of order, contactless card payment doesn't work, pump leaking gas everywhere—even the squeegee was in tatters lol
