Travelers considering this hotel should know that they charge $48 per day for valet parking. This is unfair and excessive. When I asked the hotel to justify the charge, they did not take responsibility but rather directed me to the "Parking Office". I am a lifetime Titanium Bonvoy member but will not return to this hotel. Play fair or expect to lose customers.

Nice room, but anymore technology is essential. Bed stands (both sides!) had beautiful plug/USB posts that would have been perfect, were they actually plugged in to anything. No juice. Limited other plugs.Awesome room otherwise, but technology is so critical anymore. 3 stars for great, but not spectacular.

I can't find an email address of some sort of managerial person to recommend that Nasrin get a raise. She was lovely. I was in Newport Beach for knee surgery and she went above and beyond for us right from the start. If you're a managerial-type and you're reading this, give Nasrin a raise, or a parking place, or something. The renovation on the hotel is gorgeous - room was soundproof (very important to me). Will come back again for follow-up surgeries in future.

What a mess. Checking in at 5:00 pm, there is no room in the category you booked. As a titanium elite, that is suppose to be guaranteed. They left me standing in the lobby until 6:00 pm because they didnt have any clean rooms. Then they assign me to a room that is ultimately registered in another name. This also suggests my name was on a different room. When I checked out, I was unable to get a copy of the bill. I ended up having to call Titanium services to get a copy of the invoice which shows paid. Three weeks later I receive an email from someone claiming to be from the hotel saying I owed for the stay and wanting my credit card number.

The hotel over sold the room and cannot provide any accommodation after my arrival, even tho I have checked in earlier online. I have to pay extra and stay till 2 am and drive to a different hotel midnight. Worst hotel experience ever!While I ( and other victims of over sold reservations) call other hotels to find a room, other guests left as well because of unacceptable noise in their room.What the hotel offered me at the end is canceling my booking. No reimburse for the extra cost and no help on securing any room. Disgraceful service

DO NOT stay here right now! Street construction in front of hotel where they have construction trucks working throughout the night making massive loud noises and unbearable beeping at 2am, 3am and 4am throughout the night! Unbelievably irresponsible.

Pretty disappointed with my check-in experience today. It gets a 2 star for service instead of a 1 because the bartender in the restaurant was excellent. I usually stick to Marriott properties and have stayed at this location in the past. I notified them of an early check-in request and upon arrival was told a room was not available and that they would call me on my cell when it was. I then proceeded to wait an hour and a half, and the last half hour I watched the front desk and saw MANY people checking in and going straight to their room.I re-approached the front desk to check on the status. Even though 2 of the 3 front desk employees were unoccupied, they refused to make eye contact or ask if the could help me (males) and when the female employee was done with another customer, she then helped me. It was a bit difficult to understand her with her low volume and heavy accent, but she informed me a different type of room was available if I wanted, otherwise I could continue to wait for the type I booked. I took the offer of the different room, and asked why that wasn't offered to me when I checked in, rather than have to wait an hour and a half in the lobby?She was unable to answer that, and other questions, with confidence or clarity. Off to my room, no offer of bottles of water like all the other guests checking in, and her sharing of details for the restaurant, parking and the gym/pool was under her breath / unrecognizable.This is a training and customer service issue that needs to be addressed by management.

Clean rooms with views and great breakfast. Located near Newport Beach attractions. No exhaust in bathroom and narrow bathtub.Rooms: Bathroom has no exhaust. Take a candle with you. Narrow bathtub.Food & drinks: Delicious breakfast but a bit pricey.
