I've been working with Jonathan Franzen from Power Fitness for a couple of months and although those who know me know I am not near to being buff ;-) I do feel much better! Had an unfortunate ski accident and badly fractured knee that still bothered me 3 years later & due to hours at the computer for my job, low back & shoulder issues. He believes in treating the issues first, getting you moving correctly, then doing the hard training, instead of exacerbating issues with just jumping straight into training. He does Movement screening first, Fascial Stretch Therapy & massage (which feels great!) & functional training, then you graduate (I'm in this transition now...) to strength & high intensity interval training to get in shape. I do feel a lot stronger & a lot of the aches & pains have gone away. Power Fitness is on San Joaquin - the 1st left after crossing MacArthur, so very close & nice fun & supportive atmosphere. All the Trainers there are super nice & fun and there is no gym fee - only trainers, so you can keep your current gym. Jonathan's # is (602) 741-5499. Nice guy - they all are & the owner, Jimmy, is great - not outrageously expensive & you should feel a whole lot better while getting in shape!
