Sort of worthless as an interpretive center now, since they closed the one REAL natural trail down by the water and connecting trails because restricted bikes and horses kept using them. The only people that now get to use the long lower water edge trail are the homeless! ?. This used to be a great nature hiking area but not any more. They wasted tons of money on cementing the parking lot due to minor water damage but nothing on putting gates, cattle guards, and stairs on the trails to keep the mountain bikes, electric bikes and horses out. This place is so poorly managed now. Very sad!

Great little gem. I hike the trail almost every day and finally came in to see all that you have going on. The kids loved the displays and all the information. They especially loved the tree house and puzzles in the back room. The snakes and geckos were a favorite, as well as the rays in the aquarium. Picked up a few gifts in the gift shop and enjoyed the chat with the diseños overlooking the operations.

It was beautiful! We went on a cloudy day, so it wasn't too hot. We walked for about 3-4 miles. The cactus were blooming, and the birds were singing. We saw egrets, hawks , a rabbit and squirrel. Then we went to the nature center itself. It's really nice, with exhibits and a film about the area and the animals that live there.

Visiting the Peter & Mary Muth center is my favorite outing with my two year old daughter. She loves to see the animals and explore everything the center has to offer. The staff are wonderful!

We had such a great time joining participating in the Bird walk guided tour lead by OC Park ranger Nathan. His passion on the subject matter and his knowledge of the birds in the area made the entire program interesting. Highly recommended. Be sure to check website for future tour dates.

We didn't explore the whole place. We went for the toddlers story time, nature walk and craft. Very age appropriate.
