Originally joining the JLOCC to meet well-rounded, like-minded women, I have found exceptional value in the organization through its volunteer work, training, and member development. I have been a Member for over 7 years now, and every year I grow personally & professionally. Every organization has its ups & downs, but the JLOCC remains strong & supportive.Consider joining! I've learned so much through the Junior League. It has fantastic training and leadership opportunities, ample opportunities to get involved with the community and I've met so many incredible women.

Like everything in life, Junior League of Orange County (JLOCC) is what you make of it. And if you want to surround yourself with fellow women looking to improve themselves and their community then this is a great group to join. JLOCC is a diverse, inclusive, supportive, and non-partisan collection of women from all backgrounds and demographics with a focus that is entirely educational and charitable. Many join (like myself) as a means to give back in a hands-on way but quickly find that we're also learning how to be better leaders, communicators, advocates, team members, fundraisers, community members, and all around better human beings. This is some high level girl power going on and I encourage anyone interested to reach out to

JLOCC has taught me so much, from state legislation to County demographics to how to more effectively communicate with people, honestly I don't know where I'd be today without the training I've received and human connections I've made there. The friends I've made will last a lifetime because we're all working, regardless of political ideologies or background, to improve ourselves and our community. Even if you don't join to make friends, as I didn't set out to do, it just happens because the women are so brilliant and dedicated. It's inspiring. They motivate me to be a better human. They have come to my rescue in times of need. I have been to their weddings. Watched them become moms. Watched them start wonderful programs (mentioned below by Nadia B. is the Junior League Juniors program for kids, which was started by a member/mom looking to encourage community service and volunteering for her children) and grow in their jobs (I myself have gotten promotions at work due to the training I've received!). I very much so disagree with "Michelle H." below (I believe that is a fake account created to have a public melt down, although don't know why) and feel compelled to respond: no one is backstabbing anyone as we all are working to the same end, Christmas Company was canceled because Amazon killed physical shopping, and the community respects us so much so that we are official partners with The OC Human Trafficking Task Force, the Orangewood Foundation, the Raise Foundation, and many more. The real shame is in her comment; had those concerns been brought to the Board she criticizes here, she would have been welcomed and thoughtfully responded too. But hey, can't win 'em all. Bye, "Michelle". Please visit www.jlocc.org to learn more!

I always thought of Junior League as a respectable organization. However, in my opinion, current leadership (including the Board) has and is destroying the organization. I believe it is now filled with a bunch of backstabbing "leaders" in it for themselves and their own egos.

Since joining JLOCC five years ago, I've received multiple promotions at work based on the skills gained there and the friendships I've made will surely last a lifetime!

Having moved from out of state I was searching for a way to get connected into the community and find my tribe. A volunteer and leadership organization- JLOCC is an amazing way to meet like minded people while giving back. So glad I joined!
