“Me and my family stayed here for two nights. The staff was AMAZING. All the staff (the front desk attendants, the cleaners, everyone) was so kind and accommodating. The place was so incredibly beautiful! It was so beautiful outside; the lawns and pool looked amazing, the little buildings such as the creamerie were so clean and amazing. The hotel room, the Balboa Cottage, was a three story apartment; a full kitchen with a dishwasher, knife set, glassware, microwave and a huge fridge, two bedrooms and three bathrooms with 4 different outside patios (one off each bedroom and two separate rooftop patios on each side, including a working fireplace and grill.) The bedrooms were spacious and clean along with cute decorations. It was all amazing and it was just a great experience. However there were a few shortcomings to take note of.
1. The dishwasher throughout the first night incessantly beeps and chimed every few minutes as if someone was pressing the buttons. Normally this would not affect the experience except for the fact I was sleeping on the pull out sofa bed next to it. It kept me up and no matter what I did it would not stop. The maintenance staff sent someone out the next day and disconnected it and gave us a discount on our stay. Problem solved
2. The upstairs bedroom with two beds did not have a door that wouldn’t close. It would open randomly and slide open. Again, maintenance came and fixed it shortly.
3. The washer and dryers did not work properly. The washing machine wouldn’t spin so maintenance came and had to fix it. The dryer would stop after about 5 min after we started it. It took us 5 hours to get to one load of laundry dried.
Overall, yes there were little shortcomings, but the care and attention of the staff and how quickly they were solved made up for it ten fold. I highly recommend stopping here!”
“Our stay here was amazing. The parking was close by and the location was amazing…We were practically on the beach!!! The room was very nice, the continental breakfast was great, and the staff was very friendly. We especially loved that they had beach equipment (chairs, boogey boards, umbrellas, and towels) for us to use.
Wednesday night was quiet with not a lot happening nearby, but on Thursday night the club across the street drew a lot of attention and the noise was a bit louder than we would have hoped for, but with a little white noise we fell right asleep.”

“Very helpful and friendly customer service. The rooms are large and well equipped, the bedding is wonderful, and the pool, hot tub and breakfast areas are great.”
“We love this place. Is it a 5 star hotel or resort? No... But it's nice, clean and the staff are super friendly and helpful. A very short walk to the beach and close to Balboa and shopping with really good food within walking distance. For us, there isn't any reason to stay anywhere else!”

“The room we had has a stand up shower with 2 beds and a small balcony overlooking the roof top. Rooms are very clean, beds are very comfortable and surprisingly don't sleep very hot. They put 4 pillows on each bed. 2 soft and 2 firm. Room has a mini fridge that gets super cold and you can adjust the temperature. Best part is they allow service dogs. The only thing that is annoying is you need your room key card to operate the elevator. Not a big deal but when you have to pull out the card each time you enter the elevator because you forgot it in your wallet it's annoying. Lol.Rooms: Very clean, manually regulated temperature mini fridge that gets super cold.. Not like those super cheap ones. Large tv, clean bathroom and shower. The front desk people are nice and friendly.Nearby activities: Mostly tech businesses but a short drive and there's a ton of restaurants, Korean, Indian and other ethnic foods. Highway is easily accessible.Safety: We didn't spend much time outside at night but the airport is directly across the street and you barely hear the planes take off or land. The area is very quiet and seems very safe.Walkability: Not much to walk to but there's a Benihana's right next door and a Starbucks a block away next to a bagel spot. Everything else needs to be driven to.”

“Recently came here for a staycation and had a great time. The pool was heated so that all the kids could swim even while it was sprinkling. The jacuzzi was broken though so it was cold. The rooms were really nice and clean when we arrived and the restaurant is also very convenient downstairs We had dinner and breakfast at the hotel. The breakfast buffet had sausage, bacon, egggs, oatmeal and many other things. For dinner we had salmon, shrimp pasta, and kids meals. The crab cakes were good but I have had it better at other places. But the salmon plate was incredible.”
“The service was amazing. The staff catered to all my needs and where very helpful. Enjoy the pools and all the wonderful things the resort has to offer. Great place for our convention”

“We absolutely LOVED staying at Balboa Inn!! We had a bad experience with an Airbnb, so we called Balboa Inn and spoke with a helpful and kind young man named Kyle. He made sure that we were set up right away with a room so that we were able to enjoy the rest of our vacation. Such a great location and amazing staff! Awesome all around experience !!”

“I’ve stayed at Little Inn by the Bay twice now and will definitely be back again. The rooms are clean, the AC works great, and the beds are very comfortable. Best of all, it’s within walking distance to the heart of the Newport Beach Pier. The only downside is the road noise, as its central location on Balboa Blvd—while convenient—also means it can get a bit loud. Still, its charm and location make it well worth it.”
“Beautiful and nice room we had on 14th floor. Had golf course view and far away pacific ocean view also. Very well equipped room with square rain shower with good drain system. Two queen beds are comfortable with four pillows each and thick soft sheets. Loved Nespresso coffee machine! Made my morning coffee every morning. Interesting thing is 1) when I step in to the bathroom lights are on . It's good on day time, not so good during the night. Overall very nice room with nice view.”
