3300 Newport Blvd, Newport Beach“We love this place. Is it a 5 star hotel or resort? No... But it's nice, clean and the staff are super friendly and helpful. A very short walk to the beach and close to Balboa and shopping with really good food within walking distance. For us, there isn't any reason to stay anywhere else!”

900 Newport Center Drive, Newport Beach“Beautiful and nice room we had on 14th floor. Had golf course view and far away pacific ocean view also. Very well equipped room with square rain shower with good drain system. Two queen beds are comfortable with four pillows each and thick soft sheets. Loved Nespresso coffee machine! Made my morning coffee every morning. Interesting thing is 1) when I step in to the bathroom lights are on . It's good on day time, not so good during the night. Overall very nice room with nice view.”
“Beautiful vintage hotel with AWESOME staff! They really went above and beyond to make sure we have everything we need. The hotel has a view of the ocean, which is great, but it is located in a busy area- so you may need to close the windows at night to avoid outside noise.”

4545 MacArthur Blvd, Newport Beach“The room we had has a stand up shower with 2 beds and a small balcony overlooking the roof top. Rooms are very clean, beds are very comfortable and surprisingly don't sleep very hot. They put 4 pillows on each bed. 2 soft and 2 firm. Room has a mini fridge that gets super cold and you can adjust the temperature. Best part is they allow service dogs. The only thing that is annoying is you need your room key card to operate the elevator. Not a big deal but when you have to pull out the card each time you enter the elevator because you forgot it in your wallet it's annoying. Lol.Rooms: Very clean, manually regulated temperature mini fridge that gets super cold.. Not like those super cheap ones. Large tv, clean bathroom and shower. The front desk people are nice and friendly.Nearby activities: Mostly tech businesses but a short drive and there's a ton of restaurants, Korean, Indian and other ethnic foods. Highway is easily accessible.Safety: We didn't spend much time outside at night but the airport is directly across the street and you barely hear the planes take off or land. The area is very quiet and seems very safe.Walkability: Not much to walk to but there's a Benihana's right next door and a Starbucks a block away next to a bagel spot. Everything else needs to be driven to.”

4500 MacArthur Blvd, Newport Beach“Recently came here for a staycation and had a great time. The pool was heated so that all the kids could swim even while it was sprinkling. The jacuzzi was broken though so it was cold. The rooms were really nice and clean when we arrived and the restaurant is also very convenient downstairs We had dinner and breakfast at the hotel. The breakfast buffet had sausage, bacon, egggs, oatmeal and many other things. For dinner we had salmon, shrimp pasta, and kids meals. The crab cakes were good but I have had it better at other places. But the salmon plate was incredible.”
“The service was amazing. The staff catered to all my needs and where very helpful. Enjoy the pools and all the wonderful things the resort has to offer. Great place for our convention”

4881 Birch St, Newport Beach“Jay, Melissa, Jasmine, Alex and Mel have great people skills and make you feel at home away from home. This location is by far the best in the entire chain. I am VP of Sales and Marketing for Supreme Buidling Innovators a Commercial General Contractor and am working around the clock. They understand and facilitate your stay with professionalism and attention to detail. This location is the exception to the rule. I will refer Jay and his crew to my business associates when in town and my family when they come to visit in southern California. Exceptional leadership is very difficult to find. This location should be the flagship for all of southern California. The Police department also secures the parking lot and keeps an eye on all the highend vehicles around the clock. I've said hello several times.Noteworthy details: Newport coast is an excellent location to do business on the coast with excellent freeway access 405 and 73, toll roads. As well as instant access to John Wayne. I've had to drop off at the airport while here. Its fast and organized unlike LAX.”

2627 Newport Blvd, Newport Beach“This is one of the more affordable places to stay in the area…it’s three blocks from Newport Beach and it’s an easy walk to plenty of bars and restaurants. They do have a parking lot large enough to accommodate the guests. The rooms are pretty clean and well furnished. We did find some ants though. There is a good sized balcony with a table umbrella. However the main road is pretty noisy as night as is the bar a few doors down. Don’t stay here if you are a light sleeper or if you can’t function with earplugs in at night. The staff/owners are not especially friendly or helpful. At check-in we stood there unacknowledged for 60-90 seconds while they had a conversation about something on their computer. We were an hour early for check in and they refused to waive the early check in fee…obviously that’s their policy…but really great service. It’s a 3.5 star for me…the location and price are unbeatable.Rooms: Rooms are decent. Not luxury, but clean.Nearby activities: A few blocks from Newport Beach. Lots of bars and restaurants.Safety: No safety concerns during the day. The normal precautions at night.Walkability: Easy walking distance to all the sights in the area.Food & drinks: Several places to drink in the near area as well as a great pizza place and a range of bars and Tex-Mex. A liquor store and a smoke shop are on the same block at the hotel.Noteworthy details: Noisy at night”

105 Main St, Newport Beach“We absolutely LOVED staying at Balboa Inn!! We had a bad experience with an Airbnb, so we called Balboa Inn and spoke with a helpful and kind young man named Kyle. He made sure that we were set up right away with a room so that we were able to enjoy the rest of our vacation. Such a great location and amazing staff! Awesome all around experience !!”
“Loved the Lido House! Not only was it very cute and perfect location to walk to the beach, but I accidentally left some nice clothes in my room upon checking out and their housekeeping turned in to lost and found and they quickly shipped it to me! Highly recommend this hotel!”
