Stopped in on a short trip to Huntington beach. I called ahead and Grace kept the store open for me after the 5pm close. They had sinking line, the right flies, and a stripping basket. I purchased them and got some tips, and the next AM I was catching surf perch from the beach. This was really top notch customer service - thank you!!!

I got hooked on fly fishing last summer, and this is my go-to shop for flies and advice. Every time I go in there, Grace is extremely helpful and friendly. She takes the time to answer all my questions and has great knowledge and advice to share. Great shop and great customer service.

I was in the shop last week to get some advice from Frank and to buy some fly line. I got the advice and line I needed and It was a very pleasant experience chatting with Frank. I'll be back soon!

I had always gone to Bob Marriotts fly shop in Fullerton as it was closer to my home. Recently, I had a bad experience with Marriotts and decided to try His/Her Fly Shop. Such a difference in customer service! They were attentive and spent time explaining different aspects of fly tying. This is a first rate fly shop!

Very knowledgable of California fly fishing conditions--snowmobiling the Owens for fattys after the big dump--lots of tied flys and fly-making materials, rods and reels--a great place to spend time browsing and sharing stories with Grace!

I love this shop so much. Ya they have everything you need to get out on the water, but what's most special about His & Her are the people that run the place. I mostly see Grace when I go in and she is absolutely incredible. I am still relatively new to fly fishing and ask a lot of questions. Grace never hesitates to answer all of them and provide me info I didn't even think I needed. I love going in and talking with her about where I've fished and what trips I have planned and hear what flies she recommends I pick up. Not only has she become somewhat of a fishing sensei to me, but I also consider her a friend. Thank you Grace. - Christian PS: This is a small business. This isn't Walmart or any other big box store brand. Be patient if it's crowded on a Saturday morning and there's only one person working. Say please and thank you. Don't walk through the door thinking you know everything about fly fishing because, well, you don't. Ask questions. Look through Frank's photo albums. Enjoy learning from people who have years and years and years of experience.

Finally decided to get started in fly fishing. Went to Fisherman's Hardware and was recommended this place. First time I stopped by I was just there to get my feet wet and answer questions. Grace helped me get a little better understanding of what I'd need to get. I came by today, after some research, and got what I needed for my first set up. Grace was helpful, professional, and patient. I'm grateful for her help and will be returning as a customer soon.

Decided to take a beginner fly fishing class here and due to scheduling their dates just worked for me. Mason was our instructor for the day and was a wealth of information on everything fly fishing. Small class of 4 people, great one on one instruction, we spent about 2 hours casting and 2 hours in the back of the shop for classroom instruction. Great hidden gem of a fly shop with knowledgeable staff and instructors. Will definitely be back to support this small business! Would also like to see advanced classes offered as well as guided trips/workshops

Frank and Bev are amazing people and their shop and knowledge is second to none! Frank took amazing care of us and we had a fantastic time fishing several of his "hot spots" Will fish with Frank every chance i get!

Super shop for all things related to fly fishing. Excellent selection of equipment, flies of all types. But, the people make the shop. Personal and patient attention for as long as it takes. Highly recommend over impersonal big box places.
