Are you kidding me with this gym/trainer? I have had gym memberships all around the area and have had various trainers. When COVID hit my gym in Lido closed for a bit and I started doing all online training/classes to stay fit. When my gym opened back up it became overcrowded with most ppl glamming out, taking selfies, talking on their cellphones and annoying so I quit. I did my research of gyms in the area and landed on Symmetry, which also happens to be walking distance. I trained with Hector once and knew he was the trainer for me. He's VERY mindful of proper form, building areas of body that may be weaker, in order to have balance and Hector HIGHLY stresses the importance of recovery (rolling/stretching) at my "young" age of 56 and I suppose everybody, for that matter. He doesn't push anything he doesn't practice himself and he doesn't throw you right back in without proper building. What is even more amazing is that you can make one of your sessions a "recovery" session if your body is hurting or sore in a certain area. Hector is trained in many disciplines and I feel confident and safe in his care. I think somebody else mentioned being able to purchase a "private" gym membership (and I hate to spread the word about this) but if you train with Hector (or any of the Symmetry trainers) you can purchase a monthly private gym membership so you can come in on the days you aren't training with them. Super key! I can't say enough good things and I'm looking forward to continuing my membership in one form or another with Symmetry. Its like my little training family there. Thank you Hector!

LOVE Symmetry Fitness!!! I have the best of both worlds: personal trainer and gym at my leisure! Hector (my personal trainer) is amazing! Very friendly, approachable and knowledgeable about health & wellness! Also able to workout on days I am not training, to workout when my schedule allows, which Is very helpful with my busy home/work life. The gym is well stocked with EVERYTHING you need, always clean and equipment well taken care of! HIGHLY RECOMMEND you coming by and checking out this facility!

Julie is the most incredible woman and trainer and I'm so grateful to have met her last year! She likes to credit her clients for their hard work, but I couldn't have gotten where I have without Julie's love and support. I thought all trainers were tough and that never was going to work for me. Julie is sweet and motivating and understanding - you won't find anyone better!

I've been going to GetActive for 3 months and what a difference it has made, both Hector and Julie are incredible talented personal trainers, warm and friendly, encouraging and know just how hard to push you to see results. They care about more than just you workout routine but dig deeply into what you goals are and help set an achievable plan. I have learned so much and pushed myself harder than I ever had before, but they are always ensuring that I am doing well both physically and as a whole person. I can't recommend enough! The gym is clean and stocked with all of the equipment you could need.

One on one personal trainers. From the minute you walk in the door till your finish you have your trainer with you. Never having to wait for a machine or weights. The trainers are excellent and are very knowledgeable You can go wrong

The gym is what you'd expect for a Gold's or World's gym. These types of gyms cater to serious lifters with high standards. That being said, I think the membership price is too high. The TV's could easily be replaced for around 2 or 3k. Flatscreens are cheap these days. It's an older iron crowd of 50+ age group. There are some younger people though.

I have been going to Julie for training for three years now. Often, I come in frazzled and stressed from the workday. Her upbeat and totally joyful personality while putting me through the torture that I pay her to put me through, is just the perfect recipe to put anyone in a good mood...especially a frazzled, stressed out person. She is wonderful. You can't be in a bad mood around her. You can't even be mad at her when she makes you do those last few reps you don't want to do, but know you need to do. I highly recommend training with Julie. She is a master at her job. I also love how GetActive is clean, private, and organized in a way that my trainer, Julie, can personalize my program to help my body's specific needs.

GetActive gym is the best! All the trainers are really friendly and welcoming, and it's not nearly as intimidating as going to a big gym. It's very clean, has all the equipment you need, and towel service. It's a great environment with friendly faces and awesome workout music. The friendliest face is definitely the resident gym dog, Max! He greets you every time you enter the gym :) I have been training with Julie Powers for about 1.5 years and she is GREAT! Julie was born to be a personal trainer! You can just tell she loves her job and thrives at helping others achieve their best. I always look forward to our training sessions and the time flies by so quickly. She is outgoing and personable and doesn't make working out feel like work. Whenever I have found myself in a slump, she encourages me through my struggles and helps me set achievable goals one step at a time. I am so happy with the progress I've made with my fitness and overall health, and I have her to thank for it! Awesome gym and would definitely recommend it!

I've been training with Hector for several years now. Hector gets me ready for ski season. I love his philosophy for training and I know it works. He is super smart and methodical in his approach. His music is really motivating plus I love Max the gym dog. Get Active is a fantastic gym with all kinds of training goodies to make it fun.

After breaking my leg last October I was nervous about starting at the gym. I did some physical therapy before coming to Get Active, but it was very rudimentary and focused on getting me back on my feet (literally). My original expectation of coming here was to regain my balance and strength, but it's pretty crazy how dedicated to improving your overall health the staff is. I wasn't expecting my mental well-being and diet to change so drastically, but as I've learned these things really are imperative to your health. I would recommend Hector to anyone trying to get to a healthier place, thank you for helping me build a foundation that I can continue to benefit from for years to come!
