Hard to know where to begin. Steve Barsotti is a wealth of knowledge about all things Subaru. Not only is he a Subaru expert, but he is a great human and stand up guy. He gladly shared his knowledge with me while I was restoring my BRAT. He also did some of the work for me and his rates are reasonable. If you have a classic Subaru he is the guy. Expert friendly service and advice you can trust. What more could you ask for?

This place is amazing. We were traveling from Reno back to Bay Area and had a wheel bearing freeze up which also damaged the brakes. We had to stop in Newcastle and found Newcastle Auto Tech which was a blessing. John was very honest about what needed to be done to fix our truck. He let us drop our travel trailer on the side of the building, ran to get the parts we needed and had us back on the road in a few hours. Steve has been taking care of our 27-year old Subaru since we moved to this area in 2001. He loves and knows all about Subaru cars, and has figured out and remedied the cause of several mysterious intermittent issues over the years. He is a blessing to us as we can completely trust him to help with our car. He is honest in assessment of necessary maintenance items and their cost. He takes time to explain about what may be going on and what has to be done, and has helped us keep our aging car running superbly well.This past week, the car needed some major work. As always, I was so grateful to be able to have him provide TLC to us and our car. I wanted to write a review as I have not done that for almost a decade, taking him for granted.
