“I had a very good experience at J & G. I have been searching for a place to restore my old field rifle. I wanted to find an experienced craftsman (or woman) that has been doing this forever and I was ok with it taking 3-6 months to so.After all you can't rush quality.When I first pulled up to the shop I was surprised. It's out in the middle of a county road in between housing plots and the building was very unassuming. I stepped in and they have a lot of selection if you're in the market for a new firearm.I spoke with Mike and the quote I received was very fair and the lead time was about what I expected.I came back about 3 months later and the rifle was restored amazingly!However my only gripe was that I ordered a muzzle brake to be added to the rifle and they didn't install it. It wouldn't be a big deal if I lived in the area but I live in the bay area and drove to Rocklin (outer Sacramento area) to pick it up. Oh well.The work was done very well and I got a master craftsman to resolve my rifle issues for a very reasonable price.Lesson learned here is confirm all the details and after you've all agreed to the scope of work, then confirm again.In the end, I would definitely do business with them again.”
