Horrible service. They decided that my receipt was not good enough to return an item to their store because I didn't buy it at that location. Complete nonsense! Don't bother shopping here, management is horrible!

The lady working on 01/02/24 at around 8:30 pm in the fitting rooms is THE SWEETEST. greets you with a smile and actually has a conversation with you. it's refreshing. the guy working at the front I think his name was Kevin, did not even say hello or ready for the next person. He just gave me a look to signal he wanted me to come. Maybe he was having a bad day but his energy wasn't welcoming. I don't even think he said one word or looked at me... He could have been having a bad day but at least fake some happiness around a customer lol.. another reason of only have 3 stars is because the shoe section is very limited and all the shoes are unorganized. Some of them dont even have the size! its like all the shoes stop at 8.5 I could not find anything bigger than that! Very frustrating. I had to walk over to target because I was just in a desperate need of some sneakers. I noticed this TJ Max doesn't have a variety of selection for larger clothing either. the section for larger clothing and shoes is very limited.

T.J. Maxx is always helpful and full of original stuff. Not big, but sometimes it is an advantage. Good place to buy gifts.

I have never felt so blatantly gang stalked than 2nd and last time I’ve gone into this location. I’m 20, heard multiple employees on my tail the whole time I was there to look for gifts for Christmas!!!! Haven’t you ever wanted to BROWSING into a store PEACEFULLY? Apparently I cannot because one of the dudes actually followed me out to, saying something about how he’ll get brownie points for catching me. So upsetting because I literally cannot shop peacefully ANYWHERE and NOT be watched. Can I just go shopping please ??????.

This location is clean and organized. Plus the taxes are cheaper in Ventura than in LA County!

Good selection but POOR management and policies that are not customer friendly or in alignment with consumer law. I like the layout of this store and they tend to have a good selection but I hate giving them my business because they don't deserve it. They are not at all skilled in customer service except for one manager - a guy with long girly hair who is the ONLY person here who cares about the customer. They also have gotten a lot of flack in the community for not properly addressing an assault here. Poor business practices!

I only allow myself a handful of trips to TJ Maxx a year. The deals are fantastic, but can take a little effort to look through things. Today, without the littles, I spent a good amount of time in the sore and walked away with some good finds. This location is clean and pretty organized. Lots of purses and luggage at this spot. Good finds in the beauty section. A few more racks of children's clothes than some locations. Today they had a lot of what looked like newly marked down clearance items in the women's section. Score! Be patient and remember this is a discount store and with some luck, you'll find some good deals.

Just kind of a rude, disappointing store. Lost any positive feelings and left. Insensitive floor staff, salesgirl, no smile on her face who pushed past me in the aisle and showed no remorse when she and created a bad scenario. Its best to say EXCUSE ME first to prevent anything offensive. I think I had a previous bad experience with her before, tall, skinny, younger, long brown hair. Another shopper nearly careened into me with her cart and accused me of being angry. Hello! I don't get angry sweetheart, I get even. They've lost my business at this location. This gir should not be working there, she doesn't treat people with kindness or like she appreciates her job. If you treat others right you'll have a positive environment around you, if not it will be negative. Customers just seemed the unhappy type that you do not want to cross. Honestly my feelings were hurt and that's why I put my cute markdowns behind me and didn't buy anything. Try to shop when there's less bodies in there. Don't like how the soft lines woman showed disregard for me being there as if she was worlds above me when we are the ones who write her paycheck. I hope you're reading this! People just never get it, especially in this particular area. We we used to live in this area but sometimes still stop by, just glad that we moved, everything in this Newbury Park area is regrettable. Do me a favor and slow down. Please, you may not care about your safety and happiness but I do about my own. Bunch of Local snobs! something about Newbury Park area residents just seems like they want to tear your ego down and make you feel bad, and yes, be careful about the speeding drivers in the lot. It was so strange, and people wonder why I don't let people walk all over me, I was next door at Home Depot couple of months ago with my large dog and this older woman just shoved right past in front of me, no excuse me no humility. I had to stumble back and almost fell against the plants. So don't accuse me of being angry, I'm just doing what's right. If somebody is disrespectful to you you need to report it to the manager or to a salesperson up front, this is what I did before I left this TJ Maxx store. Should have gotten the girl's name but you might recognize her tall skinny frame if you coincidentally encounter her, she'll probably speed by like a ghost and not even make eye contact with you as if you don't have a disease but are one. Another benefit to shopping Online! Remember when Retail used to smile, make eye contact with you and ask you what you needed help with? I actually don't care for this shopping center or the one across the way that is far less populated for all the police cruisers that we see so often outside the stores, especially at the home depot. Too many bad humans out there. Sorry for the verbosity, I encountered this emotionless girl last time in this store and didn't take it seriously enough. won't be back a third time for it. And yes, an older woman did shove herself right in front of me in the outdoor nursery area next door couple months ago, so for safety's sake be careful when you have other people around you, she saw me there and chose to take that impossible path rather than go around us or the other aisle and avoid an accident. At that other shopping center one night an aggressive dog off its leash charged at me from across the lot by PetSmart and I was screaming for help, the owner of the dog didn't even apologize and looked at me like it was my fault. So be smart as well as considerate Newbury Park, you aren't better than basic common sense!
