After a bad bait-and-switch experience at another dealer, and another close call likely avoided at a second, I had an excellent experience purchasing a used car from Richard Ton at Fremont Mazda. I guess it's rare these days, but I simply wanted to buy a car for the advertised price, with no dealer-added extras of dubious value. We communicated through email at first, and once we arrived at the final out-the-door price, I made the trip up to Fremont to see and buy the car. Richard shepherded the paperwork along and it all went very smoothly. Even when there was a slight issue (a missing 2nd fob), he took care of it and got it through the Service department the same day, saving me another long drive. I highly recommend Richard's and Fremont Mazda's honest approach that treats buyers with respect and not like potential marks.

Went in to sell my car on a KBB Cash offer. For those who are unaware, KBB will give you a valid cash offer for your car, and interested dealers can snatch the lead. TL;DR: Larry D., their used car salesman, chose to lowball the hell out of me and insult me with heinous lies despite a perfect condition car. I came in after their Buyers Assistant, Camille C. called me everyday, until I had to tell her to stop. Upon arriving at Fremont Mazda, I arrived to the most dead dealership I've ever seen. Absolutely pitch quiet, and the salesmen who were bored by the door joked that it's the "zen". Upon meeting Larry, he saw the car, asked some questions, and did the typical "digging" that salespeople do. Upon sharing that the car was going to be sold because of a death in the family, that quickly became a thing for him to latch onto like a parasite. Immediately after seeing the car, he mused about how bad of a condition the car was in. Went in the back and then deemd the car "Fair" condition - and gave more BS reasoning than the trash in the Milpitas landfill; "oh there's this and that that's in poor condition" "this has to be replaced" "this has to be reconditioned, the inside is filthy". I feel like I equipped him with too much information about "why" I was selling the car, and he chose to take advantage of someone's death in the family as a reason to apply "high pressure" sales tactics to purchase the car TODAY, no matter what, with a shitty offer. He was like a shark, absolutely tenacious in pressure and trying to say you should "just sell today so you can move onto the next project". Another parasitic sales tactic: He pulled up the dealership's "offer" - to show me the KBB offer and a shitty "Fair" offer from Fremont Mazda. The standard "show the customer two prices" to make them think they're getting a deal applies here; he kept trying to say we can give you something between our lowball and the KBB. It's plain offensive and just bad taste to see someone who claims to be an automotive executive (per his LinkedIn) to offer the lowest offer compared to several other dealerships in which I brought the car to, and all deemed the car in perfect condition. Quite rude honestly and recommend everyone ABSOLUTELY STAY AWAY FROM THIS HORRIBLE DEALERSHIP. At the very end, he came up with some lies - "oh you shouldn't go, I'm looking for this exact car at auction tomorrow, so if you sell it today it will save me the trouble." The funny thing is I actually called him on out on his sales tactics in the moment, surprising I was seeing this level of pressure on the "BUYING" side of car dealerships. Absolutely gut wretching and disgusting behavior. All of the other dealerships in the area did not give such poor treatment. Eventually I did sell the car, to a dealership that wasn't a scam. "Driven to succeed, nothing is impossible... Sell more cars, make more money. Build a team that treats customers like Diamonds and enjoy the ride! Highly skilled leader who gets positive results..." - Larry's LinkedIn I want you all to re-read that and think about why someone with that last name would lie and say that customers are treated like Diamonds. What does that say about their character?

Just a reminder that AZIZ M is a crook and he will happily con you while swearing to take care of you. There has been no correspondence from this dealer since they sold me a faulty car with sun damage and scratches. Beware of Fremont Mazda and Aziz M.

This review is for both Mazda Fremont and Mazda USA. I purchased my Mazda CX-5 in late 2017, excited about the driving experience but unfortunately, my overall satisfaction has been significantly marred by both unfulfilled promises and subsequent technical issues with the infotainment system. At the time of purchase, the dealership manager verbally committed to providing a complimentary CarPlay upgrade within six months. Regrettably, we did not have this promise documented in the contract, leading to a disappointing revelation later on that the upgrade would come at an additional cost. This initial lapse in business ethics set the tone for a less-than-ideal ownership experience. About a year ago, I started experiencing problems with my infotainment system. Strangely, it seemed to be controlled by other cars intermittently, and the system crashed consistently when I plugged in the SD card with the map. Troubled by these issues, I reached out to Mazda USA multiple times for assistance (File Number 00152227). The response I received was disheartening: "As stated in the previous email if they do ask for anything out of pocket for the repair you can reach back out to me and we can review to see if we can assist in the cost of the repair." This approach, expecting customers to bear the upfront cost and engage in a prolonged back-and-forth process to reclaim money, is both frustrating and problematic. It not only places an undue burden on the customer but also reflects a lack of accountability on Mazda's part. Later when I actually went to the dealership on Stevens Creek, the staff told me that the corporate could issue e-Gift card to cover the cost upfront, which they didn't disclose. The combination of broken promises and a problematic infotainment system has left me deeply dissatisfied with my Mazda ownership experience. I had hoped for better customer service and a more reliable product. Prospective buyers should be wary and consider alternative options that prioritize customer satisfaction and stand by their commitments.

I had a great experience working with Richard Ton at Fremont Mazda. My previous vehicle was declared a total loss after getting T-Boned and I thought I would look into purchasing a Mazda. Rich worked with me for over a month. Originally I was looking at the Hatchback, then it was the CX-30 and finally decided on the 4 door sedan. He kept me in the loop continuously (via text) BUT it wasn't in a "Pushy Car Salesman" kind of way. By the time we met we had developed a great rapport. I appreciated his thoroughness, & kindness throughout my entire purchase. See Rich if you're considering purchasing a MAZDA Vehicle.

This was probably the best and most seamless car buying experience I have ever had. I have had my eye on a Mazda CX5 or CX50 for quite some time. I was lucky to have Tom Hu as my salesperson as he was very thorough and honest through out the experience. I let him know I wanted to sleep on it and come back the next day. He was very respectful and not pushy as some dealers are. I then came back to fill out the paperwork and was in and out within an hour. I am very happy with my brand new CX50 and cant thank Tom and Fremint Mazda enough!

Do not under any circumstance submit a web request with your e-mail or phone number. I have had a TON of contact even after making it clear we are no longer interested in a CX-90. They simply won't stop haunting me several times a day. NEVER will I deal with this company again. Tom, leave me alone immediately. There is no sale to be had.

I have had a great experience purchasing a new car here. My salesperson Richard Ton has been very responsive and upfront in our communication, and he was accommodating of my last minute change request after already putting in a hold on a different car, and got me out of the door with my new car in 1 hour. The whole process was very efficient.

If there's ever a playbook on how NOT to run a car dealership, Freemont Mazda has nailed it chapter by chapter. From my initial email inquiries, the falsehoods began. Despite consistently stressing a 24-month lease in our discussions, the sales rep tried to pull a bait-and-switch by presenting a 36-month lease price during the in-person meeting. Their understanding of customer service doesn't just border on the absurd - it revels in it. The inconsistencies didn't stop there. The sales representative claimed my credit rating was notably lower than it actually was. Only after confronting the sales manager did I learn that this might have been an 'error'. And by error, I mean a blatant attempt at squeezing every penny out of me. Then, there's the finance manager, whose only aim, it seems, is to capitalize on customers' fears. From trying to force an absurdly priced 36-month maintenance contract for a 24-month lease to overpriced insurance offerings and laughable wear and tear protections, the circus of scams was truly spectacular. But the cherry on top? An unsolicited call urging me to come in for a non-existent 2,500-mile checkup when I was nowhere near that mileage, and no legitimate guidelines recommended such a thing. Freemont Mazda is an epitome of all that's wrong with car dealerships today. They prioritize short-term scams over genuine customer service, leaving a trail of disgruntled patrons in their wake. If you're considering doing business with them, tread carefully or better yet, tread elsewhere. Their practices beg the question: How do they sleep at night? Follow-Up Review of Fremont Mazda: After the initial hiccups with Fremont Mazda, I had hoped that the post-sale process would be smoother. I was mistaken. My license plates and registration never arrived due to an oversight on their part - they left off my townhouse number. When I reached out for resolution, I was met with indifference. The sales rep's advice? Simply "call DMV". Thanks to this, I ended up shouldering an additional $55 for new plates and tags. It's disappointing to see such a lack of care and customer service from a dealership post-purchase.

I m disappointed in their customer service. I was there waiting an hour to get the salesman( I m fine because they have meeting). I m concerned and hurt by the way they talk to me. They basically told me go to Japan to get the vehicle I want. Seriously? I won't go there or trust any Mazda at this point. They are poor customer service and sure poor made manufacturer.

This review is for our recent purchasing experience of a low mileage used car through salesman Mike. Mike was great, a good listener and attentive to detail. We took a while to decide between this car and another nice one at different dealership. Mike was good natured and patient the whole time and went out of his way to support us from decision through delivery, absolutely no pressure.

Awful shady dealership downright scammed me of my warranty!! My cars engine seizured due to a faulty thermostat, no problem it falls perfectly under the extended warranty, even the service manager agreed it does! But Mazda insisted on bringing in an inspector to see who's at fault. After inspection, he also found the reason to be due to a faulty thermostat. Okay great time to honor warranty but nope!! Mazda then decided to investigate further and FORCED me to either tear down the engine and charge me 1500$ to do, so OR they will do nothing and I'm just screwed even though I paid 2000$ for this exact issue!! Downright shady and blatant scam. Do yourselves a favor and DO NOT spend your hard earned money here there are plenty of other moral and just dealerships out there. This is not one of them.

I had an issue with my car and I dropped it off for service and they gave me a loaner - 2023 Mazda CX-30. The fuel was 7/8 when I took out and I had travelled only 40 miles since I took the car. I filled up gas at closest Costco for approximately 1.5 gallons. The gauge did not move up, and it was still reflecting lower fuel level, but I knew the quantity I filled would be equal to what I got the car for. When I went to drop off the car and handed over the receipt and informed the issue, the service manager- Bryon told that if the gauge does not move up it meat I did not fuel up and he would charge me $8.99 per gallon. I told him I had the same issue with previous loaner where the gauge would not move up and even provided the receipt from gas station. He was not convinced. I took the car again and filled up 2 more gallons and provided the receipts, yet again the gauge did not move up. He indirectly accused that I hadn't filled the gas. He even pulled it up for testing with the technician and he was not able to figure it out. So we had to go again and refuel the car and he was with my at the gas station. Even after filling 2 gallons and the pump stopping to fuel further, he kept saying that if the gauge is not moving up, it's not refueling. He pulled up the car again into the service place and the technician said the tank was only 70% full, I tried to explain him that I had filled more than what I had to, but he said he can't do anything but accept all the extra gas I filled up (worth $27). When we came back to his office, his technician called and said the gauge went up and the tank was full. I understand the issues happen, but the TONE was something I was uncomfortable. That's why I am writing this review. It's not fair to accuse someone or use the TONE that postures them as superior.

This past week my husband surprised me with a car from this dealership and I am beyond excited!! The salesman Richard left a great impression on us both. He helped my husband with the color, model and trim. All in all I'm very happy with my new car and thankful for the amazing customer service Richard provided. We definitely will send friends and family

I had an absolutely terrible experience at this Mazda dealership. I went there to look at a 2016 Ford Mustang GT, and it turned into a complete nightmare. The salesman, who seemed knowledgeable at the start, decided to show off the car to my friend and me by opening it up and starting the car for us. As expected, the car sounded great and we were amazed however we were not amazed at how shortly after starting the car, the salesman attempted to rev the car(which we never encouraged or asked for) however he failed to realize that the car was actually in first gear and shockingly, he ended up crashing it into a tree that was in front of the car turning what should have been a simple visit into a costly disaster. If me or my friend were standing in front of the car as this "salesman" pulled this idiotic stunt, one of us could have been seriously injured. I would strongly advise against doing business with this dealership unless you enjoy watching your dream car get destroyed right in front of you.
