Could be my fault for the service and actions at this bank. Have yet after 6 years asked to invest a large amount of the money in a CD. Not looking to move the money to another bank, because of my age,yet the poor service , from the front door might be the only actions

I am writing to express my disappointment with the treatment my grandmother received at your branch located in Newark. My grandmother has been a loyal customer since 2001 and this is her only bank account. Due to her limited English proficiency, she usually visits the branch in Chinatown where she can communicate in Cantonese. However, during her recent visit to your branch, she was met with an unfortunate incident.Despite the availability of a staff member who could speak Cantonese, the manager intervened and prevented them from continuing their conversation in their native language. This made my grandmother feel unwelcome and disrespected. She left the branch upset and has decided to only visit her original branch from now on.As a customer of your bank, I find this behavior unacceptable and inhumane. I strongly believe that all customers should be treated with respect and dignity, regardless of their language proficiency. I urge you to take appropriate measures to ensure that this does not happen to any other customer in the future.

I recently had the displeasure of dealing with the manager and I must say, my experience was extremely unsatisfactory. The manager displayed a racial behavior along with another customer ahead of me, which made me feel disrespected and mistreated.In addition to this, the manager demonstrated a lack of knowledge about the bank's policies and procedures. I had to visit another branch to get done my transaction. I will never visit this branch again as long as that mamanger is there. Overall, my interaction with the manager was extremely negative and has left a lasting impression on me. I strongly recommend to visit another branch.

I guess I will add another one star review for this branch. Beware, the folks are not competent nor are they professional. The simple process of getting a cashier's check took forever. The clerk seemed to not know what she was doing and froze up. I kept checking in with her until some other lady came and finally bailed her out. If you need help, maybe ask a coworker and don't sit there with a spaced out look while your customer waits!

This branch is garbage, unbelievably poor service. Most of the time employees just chat. Only one window is open at all time and there always a big line despite 2-3 people in the branch just sitting at their tables doing nothing. Manager should be fired and people rotated to other branches - they just feel that working there is a picnic.Horrible!

I came to handle some issues with my account and all 3 ladies inside were kind and professional and helped me right away. Be kind to people, it goes a long way. Thank you and I would recommend this bank to others.

If I could give this establishment a zero I would . Worst experience ever . I can in today to see if I could get three rolls of quarters from the teller . She asked me for my card and I asked what card do you want ? She said your member card . So I told her I don not back here only if I need to use the atm machine . Well she said if you do not bank with us I cannot give you three rolls of quarters. Well that was new to me . She said all Citibank branches are like that . That is the last time I use there atm machine and I will tell others not to bank with them . They need a lesson in customer service and not to be so anal if you are not a customer of theirs . Well I went to Bank of America and they had no problem giving me three rolls of quarters. . DO NOT BANK WITH THIS INSTITUTION.

I opened a new checking account and had paperwork I needed to turn in. I was told to go into a local branch so I chose this one. The lady who was at the desk, unfortunately did not get her name, would not help at all. I asked to borrow her fax and she said no. She asked why I did not open the account there. I guess there are 2 different Citibanks. Horrible service.
