A Broad Street Nevada City staple. Must go to tea and trinket shop. They have beautiful amber jewelry pieces, statues, Tibetan flags, incense, buddha statues, wind chimes, and so much more! Expertly curated items for your self or for gifting. Delightful teas are sure to please.

The SELECTION!!! First off, do yourself a favor and grab his hand curated blends. Not one is a bad choice. You can tell this man lives, sleeps, and breathes tea. His collection of tea accompaniments are amazing. If you even slightly like tea, one sip of his blends and you'll be hooked. Don't forget to grab a cute one of a kind mug on your way out! Excellent service. Amazing product. It could not get any better....unless he put a location in my town! We travel from Sacramento once a month to this place. It's a staple!

This place is a gem! As soon as you enter you feel transported to another place and time. Jick is amazing, so friendly and courteous. Every time I shop there I don’t feel as if I’m a customer but as a friend and never leave disappointed. A true tea heaven at heart. If you are in the area I hope you stop by this place, you won’t leave disappointed.

What a lovely shop and the people are so friendly. I tried 2 of the stillmountain teas and love them and plan to buy more. Interesting tea paraphernalia also, especially for tea AND cat lovers. :)

The owners are absolutely wonderful and extremely helpful. This place has the best selection of fine teas from many areas of the world and are top notch for sure. The selection of gifts and many other items is very colorful and beautiful. The environment is very cozy and the decor is inviting. Visitors to Nevada City should most definitely stop in at this shop!

This store doesn't pop up in Google maps searches under "tea" which is a real shame! I stumbled upon it and freaked out because we were just visiting the area and I'm definitely a tea hound when I travel. The store doesn't disappoint! Plenty of teas pre-packaged in manageable amounts. I'm drinking the Creme Vanilla earl grey right now using my new "modern" strainer! I left behind a lot of tea accessories that I might snag next time we visit. Prices seemed reasonable. The store has an infamous and popular "guard cat" and the gentleman behind the counter was really sweet! I also bought a few little cute "thinking of you" gifts like an enameled pocket charm hummingbird and glass heart. I'll be back!

Without question the largest selection of teas, and excellent teas at that, anywhere I have been. Easily fifty, but no doubt even more. And he has an open sample of them each so you can smell it. Not talking about Lipton here, these are craft unusual teas, with an amazing variety. And on top of that the owner, a very pleasant fellow, is quite knowledgeable about teas on the whole. But that is only art of the store as you can easily wander around looking at interesting items for thirty minutes, things you don't find at other shops. Only issue is parking, which can be rough, and bring quarters for the meter. Best if you study a Google map first and learn where the nearby public lot is, only a block away.

My boyfriend and I love to frequent this place when we're in town. The owner is super nice, and the interior is decorated with cool merchandise and trinkets. If you need a buy a gift for someone, this might be a good spot!

What a cool little shop! Tons of trinkets and hand-crafted beauties! This is one of our many stops as we are walking around the oldest are part of Nevada City! This shop has one of a kind pieces of Art that are really cool to look at and browse through. It took a good 15 to 20 minutes just to look at everything! The customer service was excellent and the even recommended other local shops for what we are looking for! We will be back!

I found myself in Nevada City, a town north of Sacramento. The town reminds me of Stars Hollow in Gilmore Girls - there is a quaint, small town feel with bustling residents who seem like they all know each other. Gold Mountain is a specialty store and gift shop with something for everyone. The store front is pretty spectacular and you can tell the owner put a lot of thought and love into the setup. My husband and I picked up some home decor items that were made in Japan, including a well-crafted food tray with a rabbit theme that perfectly goes with our living room decor. I picked up some stuffed animals for our niece and nephew, as well as a unique tea set for my aunt. There are plenty of other interesting things that caught our attention, including a friendly cat that wanders about the store and never goes out the door. Prices are very reasonable, so do yourself and the community a favor by coming in and shopping small :)

I like this place. I used to work in Nevada City and could come here every so often to get some tea. The owner (I'm assuming it's the owner?) is very nice. he's very helpful and makes some pretty good recommendations after learning what your personal tastes are. The prices are about right for loose leaf tea, a bit higher for some of the gifts or wares. Looking for some good tea? Something special to gift a friend? This is a good place to meet those needs.
