All my cards kept declining at the gas station. They don't support tap and pay or chip insertion. All of my cards ended up flagging this place as a suspicious transaction. They said they don't support certain banks. They definitely need to support more secure transactions like tap and pay or chip insertion. Now I'm worried all my credit card numbers have been compromised.

I've learned that here are some real unprofessional aholes in nevada city and they're employed by Gold Flat Express Lube & Car Wash. This used to be where I would get my oil changed in the past because the prices used to be fair and the employees used to be professional. Neither is the case any longer. This place has gone severely downhill. After very clearly being price gouged (by almost 2X the price that it's worth) I was cursed at by a young employee for complaining about how crazy the price was that I was being charged; stating that I've never paid anything close to $120 for an oil change (even there). I chose to go to gold flat express today because of the good experience I had in the past under the previous ownership but apparently there is new ownership and its clearly terrible. The customer service is not what it used to be. I don't appreciate being insulted by an unprofessional manager (Eric) after inciting arguing & blaming the customer (me), just to have a reason to tell me to leave if I don't like the price. Ya don't treat a customer that way. What a moron. Having worked in management, I believe the continuity & cornerstone of any successful endeavor is providing professional customer service & this place falls dreadfully short.In my experience, individuals & associated entities don't fair so well after instigating an incident like this & insulting the customer, but bad business warrants a bad review.I fully regret not going elsewhere, lesson learned; we will NEVER do business here again. Perhaps bad business is a reflection of bad ownership/ management. Sometimes bad news travels fast in a small town. As a customer, I'd suggest going to the Folsom Toyota dealership for service, practically any lube center in Auburn or The Auto Shop in GV (that's where I usually go). They are very fair & professional there and won't overcharge you for the same service (you'll pay almost half the price for the exact same thing).I'd strongly discourage enabling bad-apples like this by rewarding them w your business. It's worth driving elsewhere

Gold Flat Express is a quick in and out. Plenty of pumps. Be careful at the pump, asks if you want a carwash after fillup. I hit "yes" thinking it was for a receipt. The extra 12 bucks showed on my card; two days later, I went back and they Gladly and Apologetically refunded the 12!!! I see this as fantastic customer service ?

I did not make those purchases someone hacked our card and overdrafted as for almost $500. June 16th this year 11 Vehicles came through and filled up their tanks with $125 a piece and I'm still trying to get my money back from the bank and you guys totally need to find out who did what they did we would sure appreciate it and would love to know how they were able to do it. I have a chip in our card and we live in Illinois my husband has cancer and we are in a position where we need that money now is prolong Gaston Medical. Thank you Sherri Ramsey

The gas station is a normal fill up station. The Port of Subs inside ia what seperates this station from the rest. Friendly staff makes getting what you need easy.

These dudes are the best! Right before close, they changed my oil, swapped out a break light, and even bought me an ice cream after a long day of work. Quick, knowledgeable, and kind people who I go to for affordable fluid changes/general maintenance on my car.

Went to Gold Flat express for an emergency car wash. I must admit, if the rollers on your automatic car wash are worn slap out, the solution of a person hand washing your vehicle works! Good attitude. Like the sub shop, there. Do not have any use for their "lube shop" as my vehicles are serviced by real mechanics, not untrained lube techs trying to up-sell anything they can. Not a bad service station in our little community.

I never have to wait to fill up. I alway use Gold Flat Express to change my oil and tyranny fluid. There is a Subway Sandwich inside to eat at while you wait. There is also a car wash. They have a separate little station outside for airing up tires and water for any purpose.The place is clean and well manned. I wouldn't consider going anywhere else for an oil change.

Always a pleasure doing business with this place, from fuel to a carwash to a sandwich to today's oil change, they make it easy to support local. Staff are always friendly and go above and beyond to take care of the customer. Well done!

overpriced and not very clean and organized. constant turnover and untrained employees working here. EXTREMELY OVERPRICED CIGARETTES DO NOT BUY THEM HERE.. JUST LESS THAN A MILE UP 49 is a chevron charging 20 to 25% LESS for cigs.

It's a good place, been going there for years. But I almost stopped going because it's always so much more costly than anticipated. But I had synthetic oil explained to me, and now I get it.Nonetheless, the advertised price of $50 is far from the $80 that I paid. The web site does say that synthetic oil is more, but doesn't say nearly double, and doesn't say most newer cars.It would be better for their reputation, and easier on their staff, if they were more upfront about pricing.But still, no appointments needed, friendly staff, clean and bright waiting room... All good.They don't require masks even indoors, so be prepared. Nobody gave me a hard time about wearing mine though.I'll definitely go back, but this time I'll know what to expect price wise.
