It's fun to walk outside of the front and see the farmers market going strong. The ambitious people grow and live eachother. Also peeked in the window. Everything was in order and it's the Best street in town!

We’re visiting from out of town and stopped here to pick up a few things for dinner. When we went to cook them we discovered the pasta they sold us had expired 5 months ago, and the package of hot dogs over a month ago. Pretty disappointing. Overall this seems like a liquor store that sells a very limited selection of groceries on the side rather than a market. If buying food there, proceed with caution and check the expiration dates before you check out.

In the heart of Nevada City. Great place to get things for your adventures of the day. Really the only place around Broad Street to get snacks, water and liquor.

I have met the owner. He is a caring, family oriented man. Very helpful and going above and beyond to help his customer. Good service, but lacking a bit in enthusiasm. Would love to see this store get a more vibey renovation, maybe like, old Nevada City western themed or even something more modern/tech inspired. They offer a variety of convenience food, accommodating local needs and tastes. Sell locally sourced goods as well as items you can find at bigger grocery stores. Huge selection of specialty beverages and liquor/spirits/beer/wine and essential home items.

This is the one stop shop in NC.5 stars all day.The workers here are great. All the 1 star comments are not true and full of unnecessary drama.

Don't ask workers questions because they don't want to be bothered

If you want to be ripped off by a short change artist look no further. My wife and I took a bag of chips and a few drinks to the register. Nice to have the tab run up to $79 bucks with my credit card in the reader. I told the guy that the total was way off and he just pushed $50 buck in cash at us and told us to leave. We paid more than an extra $10 for those items we purchased. This guy is a total creep, ONLY PAY WITH CASH DO NOT USE A CREDIT CARD. You will be ripped off here. Avoid like the plague.

If I could give no stars I would. I used to tolerate this place because of their selection, but most of their cashiers have been very rude, I always wanted to get out of there quickly. Recently I asked a few questions about a bourbon I wanted to buy, and the guy was so patronizing I just left mid “conversation,” put the bottle back on the shelf, and left. The Bottle Shop across from the B&C shopping area in Grass Valley is where I go now. They are always friendly, and willing to answer questions or respectfully tell me that they don’t know. The owners of this place don’t seem to want to build a relationship with the community at all.

I have shopped here out of convenience and do appreciate what they have to offer. Although I bought some ice cream and had been meaning to let them know it was bad and when I had the time to let them know about the issue they said they could not refund me. I’ve spent hundreds of dollars here so I’m disappointed.
