I highly recommend Anderson Physical therapy! I have had a few joint surgeries in the past few years and they helped rehab me back to health every time. I've worked with Phil and Tomi most and think they are wonderful. They listen to me and are very kind and compassionate in addition to being very knowledgeable about different therapeutic techniques and are always helpful problem solving specific situations that come up during my recovery process. I love that the therapy rooms are private and the atmosphere is warm and inviting and soothing and relaxing while having ultra sound or e-stim therapy. They have a lot of equipment that is helpful to use as well. The entire staff is very helpful and super efficient. It is a great team of providers. A+ all the way!

I went to Anderson Physical Therapy after having two ankle surgeries on the recommendation of a friend who also had 2ankle surgeries and went to A.P.T. with good results.I have been to several Physical Therapists over the years as I have also had 2 knee replacements and other joint issues resulting from being hit by a car. I can without hesitation say, I would only recommend Anderson’s, especially James, as he is the one I worked directly with both times. It is not “cookie cutter” therapy, where what works for one, works for all. James listened to unique issues I had, was able to identify the problem, and work specially on the problem.I also enjoyed the overall atmosphere. The whole team at Anderson’s is just that, a team. They work together fluidly, and cheerfully. Everyone showing a personal interest.

In the 1990s, I was referred to Phil Andersen for a chronic issue in my shoulder. Prior to working with Phil, I had limited range of motion and pain in that shoulder for over seven years. With regular physical therapy and following his recommendations for exercises I could do at home, he helped me get that shoulder back to almost 100% range of motion without pain. Since that time, whenever I have had an issue that I could not resolve on my own, I have seen Phil or other therapists in his practice. I have always benefited greatly from their expertise. Whether it was my knees, my lower back, or an injury to my collar bone, Phil and his staff have always taken great care of me! Though I am retired now, I worked for over 20 years as a massage therapist in private practice in Nevada County. I have referred many, many clients and friends to Andersen Physical Therapy, all with great results. I do not hesitate recommending Anderson Physical Therapy to anyone in need.Terri Cooper Myers, CMT (Retired)Former owner, Massage & Company

I've known about Anderson Physical Therapy for some time Their name comes up often at South Yuba Club. Last October I had my knee replaced and six weeks later started therapy at Anderson's. I started barely able to straighten my leg at less than -15 degrees, six weeks later I was at -1 degree. It is now perfectly straight.Their facility is clean, the therapists are very competent and the atmosphere is fun. I recommend them without reservation.

I moved to Grass Valley in 2000 and a couple of months after arriving I fell one evening walking my dog. Well darn I broke my elbow in 2 places. I was referred to Phil Anderson for physical therapy. At the time I told him my elbow really hurts, you cannot hurt me in this process. Phil worked on my elbow without adding any more pain to my already aching elbow. My elbow was restored to brand new. I was told as I aged I might get arthritis, but I have not. I couldn't be happier.Fast forward 10 years, I was out running with my dog (different dog) and fell splat into the sidewalk. After about three weeks I could not lift anything over the weight of a few ounces with my arm. Back to Phil I went for a strained ligament. In no time I was good as new.Fast forward another 10 years to a foot surgery I had. My toe was completely frozen and as a result I could only walk with a severe limp and as a result of that my knee began to hurt me so much I could hardly walk. Phil worked on my toe and my knee and got me back to moving again.I can't say enough good things about Phil. He is extremely competent, kind and fun. A couple of times when Phil was unavailable James and Jeremy provided my therapy. They were great too. Love Phil's assistant Ben and all the others. If you need help go see Anderson's Physical Therapy and get yourself repaired.

i had bilateral hip replacements at age 43. i went to another PT place first, and knew right away it was not the quality of care and attention that i needed. i moved my rehab over to Anderson, and it was exactly what i needed. Great staff and wonderful range of treatments, and my main physical therapist was the absolute perfect person for me.

In January 2020 I damaged the rotator cuff in my right shoulder due to a sudden pull on the leash by my 65 lb. dog. This also is the same arm that I have had extensive surgery due to breast cancer resulting in some lymphedema, so my right arm and shoulder were in bad shape. The rotator damage was extremely painful and initially I was unable to move my arm at all. My primary physician confirmed the problem and recommended physical therapy for the rotator cuff. My husband had required pt a few years ago and had been recommended to Anderson Physical Therapy. He received excellent care and said I should go to Anderson as well. It was the excellent choice. My therapist was Tomi Corbett who was perfect for my situation and needs. She assessed with complete accuracy the extent of my rotator cuff damage, planned the right program to progressively strengthen/repair the damage -- real progress was made week to week. And in addition to the rotator damage, Tomi understood and worked on therapy for the lymphedema in my arm! Tomi was so caring and understanding of this secondary problem. She Incorporated exercises to help alleviate this uncomfortable problem...I didn't expect this much needed and appreciated help...but I got it and I am more than thrilled with my experience at Anderson Physical Therapy...it was a complete success! My rotator cuff is completely healed/full mobility restored and at home I continue to improve/impact the lymphedema by doing the exercises Tomi taught me. I ABSOLUTELY recommend Anderson Physical Therapy 100% without hesitation!

I was lucky to hear about the great staff here, and so glad that I chose Anderson. I wanted to recover from a knee injury and return to skiing and trail running. I was scared I would never be able to return to those passions. I received encouragement, wonderfully effective therapy during my visits and great personal PT routines, supervised. I am ecstatic to report that I am skiing and trail running again, and feel more resilient to new injury as a result of the customized strength training.

Was working with Paul for approx two months following total knee replacement. The best way I can describe my experience, was outstanding. They put you through the paces to get you better, some of the work is more difficult, but in rehab you should expect it.The whole staff is friendly and helpful.Great Experience

Chronic shoulder pain from an obsession with weed pulling got me into A.P.T. awhile back. Tall Paul was my guy and he got me back in weed pulling mode after sessions of stretch, posture awareness, electric stimulation and humor! He made it fun and encouraged me all the way. The staff and everyone there were great! It's the only place in town for me when I might need help again!

Seeing as how we have a PT in our family, we are firm believers in the power of Physical Therapy. Trying to keep these two "senior" bodies in motion is a daunting task!! When we have needed the help of a PT, we have always sought out the people at Anderson PT and Sports Medicine~~specifically, Tomi. This lovely woman has worked her magic on more than one occasion. Her skill, kindness, sense of humor and determination are the reasons why we have made such successful recoveries. We still play the game of "what would Tomi say" when we are tackling a project in the yard. Recently, after six successful weeks of PT because of a shoulder dislocation, I became a member of their Sports Medicine Program working with Char. One session in and the new world of the Covid 19 Virus arrived. I am looking forward to returning to the program when the world returns to some semblance of normal. Char sent me home with a program of exercises which I do faithfully and she stills calls me once a week to check up on my progress and to see if I have any questions. I hope she knows how much I appreciate those phone calls and hearing her cheerful voice on the other end of the line. It is just those little extras that make Anderson Physical Therapy and Sports Medicine such a special place. Diane Sawdon

Excellent care support. Always felt welcomed by the staff, well-cared for by my therapists and the assistants. Everyone was always free to answer questions and it made the long recovery and painful steps easier to handle.

I have found staff here to be incredibly knowledgeable and supportive. They helped me regain movement and my activity level again. They started a very manageable program tailored to my needs and checked in each time. I recommend them while-heartedly.
